At the age of nine she moved with her family to Southern California. Elena was an honor roll student who always had a passion for performing arts. She took private singing lessons, dance classes, and sang in her high school choir. With her mom's encouragement she obtained a certificate in physical therapy, but shortly after she decided to pursue her dream in performing arts. Diaz continues to actively perfect the art of acting by performing and attending classes.
