Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer help a pair of baptist ministers with their four-bedroom in Alnwick, Northumberland. Having grown up on the same street, Chris is ready for a change of scenery and a bigger, more user-friendly space for combining work and family needs - including fitting up to 14 people round a dining table. Caroline, however, loves their home, and particularly the neighbours who brought her, Chris and their teenagers comfort while she was undergoing cancer treatment.
Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer help Rachael and Tim, who cannot decide to do with their home in Wandsworth, south London. New Jersey-born Rachael wants to up sticks and move to the countryside to bring up their children in more rural surroundings, and she is finding their four-bedroom semi something of a squeeze. Phil catches up with Carol and Andrew from Harrogate, who he first met in 2016 when they were at loggerheads over their beautiful three-bedroom home. Back then, Team Love It Andrew's feet were 'set in concrete' and he was adamant that they couldn't find a better location for them and their two children. Carol on the other hand was ready to list. As well as the dated, cramped kitchen, she could see a not-so-distant future where her dad Dennis may need to move into a house that was already bursting at the seams.
Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer head back to Albrighton in Shropshire to catch up with Jamie Lea and Curtis. Back in 2019 they'd reached a stalemate after buying and doing up their three-bedroom terrace home. At the time, psychology student Jamie Lea wanted to settle down and enjoy family life with their daughter Scarlett and their soon-to-be-born second child. But Curtis had itchy feet and was constantly trawling the internet for their next doer-upper. He wanted a bigger house with a better garden in the countryside for their growing family.
Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer head to Strathaven, Lanarkshire to help Frank and Wilma decide whether to sell their four-bedroom family home or invest in it to make it work for them. Frank is firmly on Team Love It, having raised their two children there, he is convinced they still have many happy years to come in the house, while Wilma is ready to sell now that their kids have flown the nest.

With two growing children, John can't see this house ever working and hopes that a move closer to town will appeal to the kids as they become teenagers but Gill's fond memories of her mum and the countryside on their doorstep mean that she can't imagine living anywhere else.

The couple moved into their four-bedroom house two years ago but since their child was born a year ago, the small shut-off kitchen has become a big issue and Nilesh would like to be closer to family in Leicestershire but Raakhee believes that with a bit of love, care and fixing-up it could be their forever home.
