When a team of misfit boys are rejected by the local Little League squad, former All star softball player Terry Gannon Jr. helps out the team, including her son. However, she'll need help from her father, Terry Sr., who she has to live with after years apart.

Terry is determined to find a job and get out from under her father's roof; The Cannon tries to help the Angles overcome their fear of being hit by the ball; secrets surround an unused bedroom and bathroom in the house.

Terry looks for a girlfriend for the Cannon, thinking it would make him be nicer to her and the Angles; Danny decides to share his feelings with Vanessa.
