Klovn (2005)
Klovn
2005Klovn is a Danish sitcom, which first aired on the Danish TV channel TV2 Zulu. It focuses on the life of the main character Frank and Casper. The show builds its comedy around quiet everyday situations, social awkwardness, uncomfortable silences and general faux pas. Klovn usually gets compared to the American sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm by Larry David. It’s also shot handheld, in a pseudo-realistic style. Some have also mistakenly compared the theme to Curb Your Enthusiasm’s, despite it being a direct reference to Jacques Tati’s Mr. Hulot movies. The poster for the first film can be seen in Casper and Frank’s offices throughout the series. Klovn initially ran 6 seasons on TV2 Zulu from 2005-2009 and was renewed with an additional 3 seasons that aired from 2018-2022.
Seasons & Episode
Accountant Kurt convinces Frank and Casper to invest in a luxury yacht. However, it will turn out to be a questionable idea.
Finally, Frank has succeeded in being nominated to get a theater tile on Frederiksberg Allé. He puts Mia to help grease the right places. Once again, however, things don't go quite as Frank expected.
Frank uses all tricks to win the annual tennis tournament. As usual, Frank's devious plans mostly hit himself.
Frank feels particularly selected to take part in a research project, to which Eske Willerslev invites him somewhat by chance. Frank's expectation of his position in the project quickly turns out to be grossly misjudged.
Frank basks in the fact that he has to give a climate speech to the People's Meeting in Bornholm. Unfortunately, Bjarne Corydon steals all the attention after a heroic rescue. Frank does his best to turn the focus from Corydon to himself. It's not going so well.
Frank, Casper, Mia and Fnug go on a couple's trip to Hornbæk. Mia would rather have fun with Frank, who is struggling to charge his electric car, and Casper painfully has to admit that Fluff is young and has many young friends in the area. Still, everyone tries to hang on to Fluff and her old swag and live a bit "on the edge", but nothing good comes of it!
Frank is allowed to join CC's men's group, where serious feelings of an existential nature are discussed. Mia has severe problems with menopause symptoms. Neither in the men's group nor at Mia's house is Frank able to deal with much else than his own "problems" with the parcel post. CC, Søren Pind and the rest of the group of men are also in great conflict about who has claimed "The Left Trick".
