The caller demands 1¥ billion in exchange for calling the police. Conan, knowing that it is impossible to gather that amount of money in a short time, concludes the caller plans to murder someone regardless of the money.
Serena invites Rachel, to attend a meeting full of avid magic fans she met online.
The members of the lounge decide to leave the Hamano's body untouched to preserve the crime scene and retreat back into the lounge.

Haibara leads the investigation and is accompanied by the Detective Boys.
The Detective Boys, accompanied with Dr. Agasa, attend the final opening day of a theater as it is about to be demolished. They meet the theater owner, Akio Muramatsu, and his employees Minoru Furuhashi and Yuriko Tomosato. Seiji Haruta, a sadistic real estate agent, arrives and announces his plan to tear the theater down to make way for new business.
After gaining sufficient evidence and reviewing Toshiyuki's video, Conan uses Dr. Agasa's voice to shed light on the matter at hand and reveals the killer.
There is a burglar on the loose! But Ayumi is sick so she stays home. When a burglar invades her house, she tries using the detective badge to call for help.
Heiji and Kazuha visit Tokyo accompanied by Kogoro, Ran, and Conan. They run into Heiji's father's friend and are invited to their mansion. There a murder occurs and his father's friend is found dead in a locked room.
Continuing the investigation, Heiji proclaims the butler was the murderer and he is taken away, screaming his innocence.
Ran, Serena, and Conan go to watch the stars. Serena is especially hoping that she will see a shooting star. Ran has a friend at the observatory that helps her use a telescope; he introduces his senpais that work at the observatory. One of them just won an award known as the "Star Pioneer". However, that same night, that same person falls from the higher level of the observatory. Conan knows that this isn't an accident - but how can he prove it?
Conan, Kogoro, and Ran take the overnight North Star Express to Hokkaido to meet a former client. Conan notices that the events is eerily similar to the plot of an unpublished novel written by his father, Yusaku, that had been stolen ten years prior.
Conan reveals the suspicious woman to be his mother, Yukiko Kudo. When Kogoro calls all the passengers to witness his inaccurate deduction, Conan figures out the trick.
The Detective Boys go to the police station trying to figure out who robbed a nearby bank.
Conan continues his investigation, closing in on Keizo, his prime suspect in the stabbing death of his wife, Kayo. With all pieces of the crime in place, Conan understands the hidden truth and drops hints for the officers.
At an amusement park, an accident occurs during a Kamen Yaiba playing. As Yaiba jumped from a bungee cord, the cord burns and he falls into the water. 20 minutes later, he is found dead.
Kogoro reveals that he tutored in his youth, and resolves to meet up with one of his students. However, when they go see her, her car suddenly explodes as her sister drives it out of the driveway. Kogoro is determined to solve the case and find the murderer as soon as possible.
With some prodding by Conan, Kogoro surprisingly finds the truth of the case himself. He confronts the criminal, and with some help from Conan, he overcomes his ideals and gets to the heart of the matter.
While on the bus home, Ran meets an old man who later disappears.

With the help of Conan, Haibara, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta, the case is solved.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are waiting for the train when they notice a group of people leaving work on a Sunday. Once they boarded the train the group finds their co-worker dead in an empty train car.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are visitors at the 5 story pagoda. After running into the manager, they are invited out to dinner as guest of the temple on him, thanks to the Great Kogoro. The morning after hearing the legend of 5 story pagoda, the manager (who was planning on turning it into a tourist attraction) turns up dead, hanging from the top floor, in a fashion mimicking the legend.
More evidence presents itself as Conan notices there are burn marks on the rope used to hang him, and also a slip knot tied. In addition, there was not enough length in the rope meaning, he would have needed to jump into the noose to commit suicide. Right before the police detective was going to call it a suicide case, Conan stuns Kogoro and reveals the method in which the murder was committed, followed by the key piece of evidence to prove who the murderer was.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are at a fancy traditional Japanese restaurant where food is delivered on a small computer controlled boat that navigates over a running stream around the restaurant. Later, a murder occurs and Conan realizes the only way it could have been possible was for a person to be alone, and to use the stream to access the room.
Agasa wins a trip to a beach resort and gives the tickets to Kogoro, Ran, and the Detective Boys. On the plane, Ran falls asleep and dreams about a murder that occurred on an Airliner.
Agasa takes the Detective Boys to his uncles house which has been abandoned fifty years ago for a treasure hunt he had set up.
Conan matches the symbols to the Hiragana table and reveals that the symbols in the objects direct to other objects in the room.
The Detective Boys are in a puppeteer camping trip, where they are practicing for a school puppet play. At the same time, a serial killer has been spotted near the areas of the camp. While at the camp, the students disappear with their puppets, leaving the Detective Boys alone.
Hattori Heiji, bringing along Kazuha, is hired by the rich Takeda family to investigate a series of suspicious suicides that has plagued their mansion in Tottori Prefecture.
Conan and Heiji investigate further into the ghastly death of Nobukazu as well as the suicides of Misa, Kinuyo, and Negishi.
Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and cooperates with Heiji to shed light on the case.
Kogoro is invited to an aquarium where an underwater play is to take place, A woman's dead body rises from the water when it's her cue to come out of a clam's shell in the play.
Conan detects a change in Ran’s behavior and speculates that she may have something going on. Kogoro, on the other hand, takes them to his doctor Yoshiteru Araide’s house for a checkup.
Conan establishes that Yoshiteru was murdered and finds several clues missed by the police including a broken piece of a vase.
Ran, Sonoko, and Conan are at the Tropical Land ice rink where they meet a group of people: Yasuharu Misawa, Izumi Sano, Yoriko Komatsu, Chihiro Itami, and Kunitomo Oda. Chihiro goes to the women's bathroom where she is being followed by a cloaked figure.
Bloody marks are discovered at and near the crime scene. Conan puts Kogoro to sleep to reveal that the culprit.
Saizo Kano, known as the Organizer of Shadows, is shot to death by his subordinates, Sadao Kujirai, Korehisa Kanie, and Teruyoshi Kameda. In the present day, while celebrating their last heist on a luxury cruise ship, Kano’s crew is picked off one by one by a mysterious killer. The stakes are raised when Heiji is thrown into the Pacific Ocean while investigating and a bomb is discovered to be hidden on the ship. Is there something more sinister afloat, or has Kano returned from the dead to enact his vengeance 20 years later?
Richard is called to investigate a suspicious murder where three people admit to killing a man for hitting him on the head.
On the way home from school, Conan and Haibara find Gin's Porsche 356 on the street and places a covert listening device in it. Conan hears that a Black Organization member codenamed Pisco is ordered to assassinate someone at a party hosted at Haido Hotel.
Conan investigates and reveals to Haibara that the purple handkerchief will narrow down the suspects.
Haibara climbs to the top of the chimney only to be confronted by Gin and Vodka.
Conan and the group go to a coffee shop. Nearby, two men are having a meeting. One of them gets up to go to the bathroom, and while he's gone, a truck slams into the coffee shop and smashes the other man who was still seated. Conan realizes it was a planned murder and finds evidence through the truck.
Kogoro is invited by Yoshinori Kana to his home to investigate an unknown stalker harassing his wife, Misaki, who leaves mysterious gifts and letters.
The case is solved, the mysterious man was figured out to be a statue hanged by a fishing rod.
The Detective Boys are walking home one day when they discover two s shaped hooks and a ring with the initials M to A, a wedding ring. They decide to investigate seeing it as an S.O.S.
One day, The Detective Boys were bored so they picked up receipts in a convenience store to guess what the people are buying for dinner. George picks up a weird receipt with food items, a dust bin, a container, a handler light, rechargeable batteries, thin lytax gloves, and chlorine.
Kogorou, Ran, and Conan are invited by the hostess of a car accident charity named Shou Beniko. While driving, they find a message from the Phantom of the Cursed Masks who tells them they should not go.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are driving by when an arrow almost hits Kogoro. Afterwards, they stay at a hotel when an actor is found dead with a bullet in his head and all the evidence suggests it is the work of an outsider.
Conan later solves the case by showing how the culprit tried to place false evidence to lure the police to think it was an outsider.
Kogoro is invited to a house as to impress the client's mother who is a finance trader, simply a loaner. Later, loaner is murdered and with the clues, the suspects are her son, daughter, or maid.
Ran's strange behavior causes Conan to suspect that she knows his identity as Jimmy. Later on, the Detective Boys are taken by Agasa on a camping trip.
The Detective Boys realize that the riddle is a reference to shogi and that the dragon refers to a promoted rook. They take the direction a rook is placed on the shogi board and escape the cave.
Vi reveals the gun was a fake and reminds Conan the threat that the Black Organization poses.
The police are unable to find the source of the poison from the drinks. As they are able to rule the death as a suicide, the black knight declares it was a murder and reveals his identity.
Shinichi takes Ran to a fancy restaurant in order to confess his love.
After checking the company's mascot, Shinichi confirms Satoru to be the murderer, thus locking the two in a game of cat and mouse.
A girl named Yuuki Haruna asks Kogoro Mouri to search for a man named Shuugo whom she texts with on her pager.
Conan investigates and realizes how the pranks were done and who is attempting to scare Haruna away.
Ran and Sonoko are on their way to a restaurant when Chie Yoshino allegedly falls asleep in her car but nearly misses them at the last moment. They soon meet Akio, Chie’s husband, but Ran finds his actions suspicious.
Kogoro wins the city lottery for first place and the reward was an all-expense paid vacation in a hotel and Conan and Ran tag along. In the hotel, a car exhibition is about to do its grand opening.
After investigating, Conan reveals that a cover was used to direct the fume into the car. He reveals who the culprit is.
Kogoro is relaxing at a luxury hotel. After dinner, a drunken Kogoro goes missing, prompting the others to search for him. Eri calls his phone, hears it ringing from the inside of Ritsuko’s room, open the door with the chain lock in place, and find Ritsuko strangled to death. Worst of all, Kogoro emerges from the bed, much to everyone’s shock.
Eri continues to pretend Kogoro is the killer but only to fool real guilty party.
Conan, Ran, and Kogoro are riding a bonnet bus, driven by bus operator Mamoru Kajita and guided by Touko Natsume, through the mountains. On the bus already is the president of the Kagekura youth club, Takurou Yabe. The bus stops to pick up other travelers including Souchiki Okumura, who forces Kogoro out of his seat. He argues with Yabe then drinks from his water bottle and collapses dead from poison.
Ran reveals that the person who ran past her after Funaki was killed was Yabe. Kogoro catches him but Yabe maintains his innocence.
Mouri, Ran, and Conan are staying at a hotel where they meet the twins from the case of the cursed mask. Later, an actress comes and causes trouble. The next day, she is found hanged in her room.
Conan notices that this is not a suicide but a murder. He later proves that the culprit hang-glided to the hotel and went back by stowing in the trunk of a car.
A serial arsonist sets huge fires across the city and Takagi and Miwako with the Detective Boys are out to solve it.
After Ai reveals the pattern of the arsonist attack, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko run into the arsonist who attempts to kill them.
Kogoro is carried by Ran and accompanied by Conan one night picking him up from a bar. While walking they witness a fight in an apartment. The next day a murder occurs. One of the man who's heard arguing comes to Moore for help to prove his innocence. The man has made good suggestions on where to find evidence which are in fact too good.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are invited for a ceremony for a ropeway which is built through a giant Goddess Statue on the mountains by Doumouto Guze. They learn that there is a rumour about a curse by the goddess' anger and Kogoro was invited to disprove it. After riding through the ropeway on the opening day, Doumouto, who has disappeared from the ropeway cart, is later found dead on the goddess' hand.
The Detective Boys excluding Ai, are traveling through a winding path on Mt Ryushin. There they witness a derailed car fall off the mountain. The man has died and through the evidence, Conan concludes another car rammed into that car.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan came as the substitutes for Serena and her father, the Suzuki president, and decided to attend a tea meeting at the Aonogi house. At the backyard of the mansion, there was a pond that shined in five colors. And there was a bridge which led to the tea room. While they were enjoying the pond’s colors something unusual happened… The headmaster died in the tea room, the same way as the legend.
Conan searches for clues to who murdered the Headmaster busily and finally figures out the trick that was used.
The Detective Boys decided to go mushroom picking in the mountains. And during it, Genta got lost in the hunting area.
Ai deduces that if they reveal themselves, the hunter trying to get rid of them will shoot them and say that he thought they were bears. So Ai and Mitsuhiko leave a clue for Conan in the form of different types of mushrooms that tells him who the killer is.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are attending a dolphin show when a murder occurs in the hotel.
Conan believes that Kumada was met with foul play. Conan puts Kogoro to sleep, deducing that the killer drugged Kensuke while he was out with Kumada.
The police inform Kogoro about a serial offender attacking women wearing ganguro makeup. According to the victims’ testimony, their attacker stood at 150 centimeters tall. Kogoro mentions a similar case 20 years ago where female high school students were run over, shocking Megure.
Megure reveals a case in the past which is why he was so anxious.
The Phantom Thief Kid stands on top of a building with his butler. He discusses the time he was almost caught by a famous Detective in the East, Shinichi Kudo. He plans to "steal" the clock tower. Although, he leaves it standing with a code upon its hands, saying "I will not give this clock to anyone".
Conan becomes suspicious of Kogoro's latest client, a woman looking for an old lover, even more so when a murdered man is found clutching a photo of her.
After a thorough investigation, Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and reveals the culprit.
Conan, along with Heiji, Ran, and Kazuha travel the Isle of Mermaids looking for Saori Kadowaki, who had sent a letter to Heiji asking him to save her from being killed by a mermaid.
Conan and Heiji investigate Naoko's brutal murder and discover a trail of fish scales that suggest Naoko's killer came from the sea.
With Kogoro stunned, Conan clears the suspects who were accused of murder, then explains that each victim was called out by the person they trusted and was lured with the promise of a personal gain before being murdered, and reveals the killer.
A boy named Rintaro asks the Detective Boys to investigate on a strange man named Yuuji Kamekura. Rintaro explains that Yuuji appeared one day at his family restaurant claiming he owes Rintaro's grandfather a favor and would like to work at the restaurant. Yuuji soon after begins living with the family and helps them improve the restaurant to the point the family are constantly busy with the customers.
Conan investigates and learns the method and the culprit who murdered Bitou.
Ran, Sonoko, and Conan attend Muneyuki Mino's pottery class to make pretty mugs. Muneyuki is pleased to see Ran as her father Kogoro solved a murder case at The Forgemaster's estate. Later on, Muneyuki displays a dark personality.
Conan finds something suspicious about the pendant on the necktie and figures out Muneyuki and his methods.
Conan and the Detective Boys are taking the transit bus to a ski resort where they meet Araide and Jodie aboard the bus. Soon after, the bus is hijacked by two armed men who uses the passengers as hostages and demands the city to release their boss.
Conan figures out who the accomplice is. The Detective Boys are able to inform the driver to stop suddenly which allows Conan to apprehend the criminals.
Mouri Kogoro accepts a case to help to find out who has been sending threatening phone calls and letters to a man named Mitsuo Yoshimura. On the way to Yoshimura's apartment with his friend Joji Ueda, Kogoro and Conan witness Yoshimura fall to his death.
Agasa takes the Detective Boys to a neighbor named Teruya Kanou who is giving away his belongings before moving to England. While there Kanou's Papillon goes missing when the longcase clock strikes twelve and chimes twelve times.
Conan notices that there is glass wool, which muffles sound, in the incinerator and realizes who the culprit is.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are invited to a private party by a President of a financial business, who is known for his expensive collection and various tastes in wine.
Ran, Kogoro, and Conan go to Shirahama on a vacation they won from a shopping district lottery, and there meet a group of college students named Maki Shinjou, Tatsuhiko Yura, Madoka Mitsui, Kanako Miyahara, and Kouta Fuji. They are all in the same art club, but don't seem to get along well.
Conan investigates and finds out that Madoka was cheating on her boyfriend with another student, Fuji, but that none of them committed the murder.
Heiji invites Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to a celebration of the opening of the 3K restaurant by three American celebrities, a heavyweight boxing champion named Ricardo Barreira, a Major League Baseball player named Mike Norwood, and the pro soccer player known named Ray Curtis who Conan admires.
As Heiji is investigating the rooms, Conan suddenly appears and talks to him about that all three sport celebrities are all innocent.
While traveling home on the Shinkansen from Osaka, Conan, Ran and Kogoro ran into Officer Satou and Takagi, who were transporting a criminal. Later, a bomb was found on the train that Officer Satou went to investigate.
From the crime scene, Conan found a suspicious thing that makes the scene as the place of homicide. During the investigation, Conan observes three suspects. Conan points out the suspects of who the murderer is. After investigating and finding clues, Conan reveals the culprit.
Genta has been acting weird at school lately. The Detective Boys learns that he is being targeted by a killer. Genta tries to remember where he sees the killer.
Tatsuo Mori, a Mori Kogoro impersonator, arrives at the Aoiya Hotel near a creepy forest where he is invited to investigate a case where a long-haired man is said to have committed suicide 4-5 years ago.
After analyzing the clues and facts, Conan is convinced that the long-haired man and Tatsuo were murdered.
Conan, Kogoro and Ran all go to an isolated mansion called the Sunflower building because every 12 hours it rotates. They are having a BBQ outside while the owner is inside when they hear a shot fired. They rush inside to find the owner shot through the forehead.
Professor Agasa takes the Detective Boys and Conan at the beach during school break while Ran and Sonoko also happen to be on the exact beach. At night, all of them ate dinner in a hotel together with the lifeguards they met that morning. The man the lifeguards were supposed to meet didn't show up so they tried calling him but the only sound that could be heard was the sound of the waves.
Conan figures out the culprit and decides to use Professor Agasa's voice to reveal the trick but remembers he forgot his voice changing bow tie at the hotel.
While Conan, Ran and Kogoro are going sightseeing, the village head is killed by the somebody who visited the village head before post office lady.
Ran and Kogoro get an invitation for an engagement party from his favorite idol Youko-chan. Kaoru the one who is getting engaged is another star and a former member of a group they all used to be in. She is a fan of Kogoro and wanted him to find out who was stalking her.
Megure searches everyone for the murder weapon but it isn't found. Though they discover a listening device and find drawers tampered with.
Because of Kogoro's love of horses he takes Conan and Ran to an OK corral ranch. One of their prize winning horses gets spooked and they all go running after her. They reach the horse and Conan finds blood on her horseshoe. They then find the farrier; one who shoes the horses, murdered.
Conan and the Detective Boys find out about a kidnapping case and decide to investigate.
Satou is having an arranged marriage meeting with a man due to her mother's persistence. She arrives to find out it's Ninzaburo Shiratori. She proposes that if Takagi does not arrive to her before sunset, she will marry him whether she wants to or not. He accepts, but Takagi is busy with a store robbery.
Takagi solves the case and arrests the culprit when he tries to make a dash out of the police car. Takagi catches up and gives up on going to Simone in time to stop the marriage as the sun is almost set and the car is too far away.
Kogoro wins a trip to Matsue from a lottery drawing, and while there they meet and join up with a Linked Verse group, which is a type of poetry. One of their members, a loan dealer, is killed, and Conan finds out that almost everyone has a motive to kill.
Conan hasn't figured out who the culprit is, so he gets Kogoro to participate in their Linked Verse Contest so he can have more time to observe the suspects.
Conan and the Detective Boys are out walking around the town the morning after an earthquake when they hear a scream. They see a woman cradling a man bleeding, and they call an ambulance and the man is saved. He says he was robbed and 200,000 yen ($2,000) was stolen from. They have a suspect, but he has an alibi of committing another crime when the man was attacked.
The Detective Boys attend an animal show involving a white lion named Leon. Outside, a man named James Black, is mistaken by reporters for Randy Hawks, a rich man who sponsors zoos and animal shows. The Detective Boys lead him out of the crowd of reporters by pretending he is their English Teacher. As return for their help, Black offers to treat them for lunch and leaves to get his car, only to be mistaken for Hawks and kidnapped for ransom
Ayumi notices that Black still has her Detective Badge, allowing Conan to trace the signal and have Sato set up a road block intercepting the vehicle.
Conan, Kogoro, and Ran go to a restaurant that is shaking because of construction next door. They go back the next day only to find that the man running the restaurant is dead. At first it looks like the construction made a vase fall over and hit him on the head, killing the owner, however, the construction wasn't happening at the estimated time of death.
Conan, Kogoro, and Ran are driving to a hot spring when the road gets closed due to snow, and so they accept an offer of staying the night at a nearby house. The next day they discover the body of the company president dead and when they follow the footprints, they find his eldest son dressed up in armor and also dead in a locked room.
During the informal investigation, Conan discovers that the footprints of the armor in the snow were used to cover up the culprit's footprints, and finds that the locked room the son died in was set up.
Heiji invites Conan to his kendo tournament.
Eri Kisaki is the attorney for a man named Shinji Usami who is convicted for the murder of Tsuyoshi Hirasawa while in a drunken state. On the prosecution side is her rival, Reiko Kujo, dubbed “The Madonna of Prosecutors. During the hearing, Reiko calls Kogoro to the witness stand, leaving Eri baffled and Conan concerned.
Conan explains that Reiko is taking advantage of Eri’s history with Kogoro by using him on her side. Kameda confesses to changing the time on Kogoro’s phone, thus destroying Shinji’s alibi.
Sonoko invites Ran, bringing along Conan and Kogoro, to come to a house in the hills where their chocolates are blessed with good fortune for love.
Nigaki’s corpse is left to preserve evidence. Kogoro takes Nigaki’s recorder and camera to find leads but only discovers two completely black photos and one stained with blood. Apparently the murder takes place before the snowstorm but Conan feels like there's a trick to it.
Kogoro is tranquilized, and Conan reveals the culprit.
Hideo Morita has come forth to the agency asking Kogoro to find his late wife Mrs. Morita’s watch which he has lost in his house. Kogoro refuses the problem, but the Detective Boys and Dr. Agasa offer to help.
Conan does not think that Idetsuki was attacked by an outsider. The kids detect the scent of flowers coming from the microwave and Conan gets how the crime was committed. Using Agasa‘s voice, Conan reveals the murderer.
Ran, feeling she met the mysterious man before, attempts to remember why.
Conan's investigation leads him to discover the meaning of the symbols. He drops hints for Joseph Meguire to deduce what the symbols are.
The Detective Boys meet an old woman in the park who feeds and takes care of stray cats, and also likes to give the kids quizzes from a puzzle book she has. The next day she doesn't show up to feed the cats, but the cat Bruce comes with the old lady's scarf around his neck. The scarf has a code and blood on it, and to find and save the lady Conan and the gang must solve the puzzle.
Ran catches a cold and visits the doctor. When there one of the doctor's patients mentions that his apartment is haunted by a girl who was burned to death four years ago. Conan and Kogoro decide to investigate.
The three people excluding the old man are given more back story. One man does not believe in the ghost, one man is a horror movie filmer, and the other man just lives there.
Takagi loses his badge after breaking up a fight between a manager and his singer. He searches for it with the help of the Detective Boys.
While at the Professor's, Conan recalls his last meeting with the Black Organization. Conan deduces that another Black Organization member must have been at the hotel party. This is when he finally singles out Chris Vineyard as his suspect.
Heiji immediately destroys the theory of suicide, by showing that the man who fell from his apartment attempted to grab onto the curtain to save his life.
The Detective Boys and Agasa go and watch a soccer game of the Tokyo Spirits vs. Noir Tokyo. On the way back they see a very rude and loud supporter who has gotten kicked out of many stadiums for his crazy behavior. They all get on a train to go home, but as they are exiting to change trains they see the rude supporter fall on the floor with a knife in his stomach.
After questioning the 3 suspects Conan still cannot determine who is the culprit, but notices that Haibara is watching the next soccer match on the subway's TV.
The 3 Detective Boys are playing 'make-believe detectives' when they encounter a real case. A man is killed right in front of them, wrapped up in a sheet and thrown into a truck.
Kogoro, Conan, and Ran are driving in the mountains when they run out of gas and are kindly picked up by Majima, the president of a furniture company. Most of the people that work for him and live with him seem to hate him, so it isn't a surprise when Majima turns up dead the next morning in the beautiful house rock garden.
Kogoro accuses one of Majima's employees who was in debt, but is quickly proven wrong. He then accuses Endou, one of Majima's company managers.
Arguing with receptionist for free dinner ticket, one of movie director's crew invited Ran and her crews. However, the director man dies at a restaurant by cyanide but they are unable to find the source poison.
After the case is solved, Ran falls ill. To everyone's surprise, she falls from her chair and collapses on the floor, having memories of certain people she met a long time ago. These people include Sharon Vineyard and the mysterious man.
Ran loses consciousness due to her illness and reminisces about her past with Shinichi in New York.
The performance of The Golden Apple begins. During the climax of the musical, the actor Heath Flockhart, who is portraying Paris, is shot.
Shinichi tells his mother his deductions on the case to have her solve the murder.
Mitsuhiko is missing during the radio taiso day. The Detective Boys ask about his whereabouts from Mitsuhiko's sister and learn he had been going out to an unknown location for the past few Sundays.
Conan's radar runs out of power forcing the group to search for Mitsuhiko in the forest.
Heiji and Kogoro are invited to Okinawa to solve the case of a body that was found on Onikame Island alongside a mysterious carved message by the body.
Heiji tells them the Anchor he found was approximately four to five years old, the same time period on which the strange events have been occurring on Onikame.
When Conan and Heiji find the name "Kaa" and "Chi" written by Miyako many years ago, they realize who the names are referring to. Conan and Heiji have an epiphany and realize the culprit faked Tiara's time of death.
The Detective Boys along with Kogoro, Ran, and Sonoko take a trip to Kumamoto, Kumamoto so the Detective Boys may participate in a Tennis Tournament. While Sonoko is in the bathroom, Ran overhears three men planning to murder someone. To hide their conversation, the men kidnap Ran.
The police department receive a ransom demanding a large sum for Ran's life. The police send their men to search around town for Ran. Conan and Haibara soon deduce from Ran's description of her location.
Kazuyuki Kawai invites Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to his houseboat for dinner and to view the fireworks. During the fireworks, Kawai's guest, Tsuneo Yamasaki, is found dead from electrocution.
Kisaki found herself defending a burglar being charged by the state prosecutor with murder instead of manslaughter
Conan went along with Kogoro during the investigation.
Kogoro has won another contest and so he, Conan and Ran go on vacation, where four friends recognize him as the famous detective Kogoro Mouri. He has dinner with them, which is interrupted by a rude man trying to buy one of the friends' businesses, but they refuse to sell.
The rude man is found dead, hit on the head with a rock. Kogoro immediately suspects the four friends who all had motives, but when he questions them they all have alibis.
Agasa takes the Detective Boys to watch a parade. They run into Sato, who explains that they received a bomb threat and believe it is related to a bomb case three years ago.
After a thorough investigation, Conan realizes that the mail truck never arrived and realizes the explosion was a distraction and what the true motives for the bombers are.
While walking around town the Detective Boys hear a woman in an apartment scream. They investigate the source of the screaming and find a dead old woman stuffed inside of a Sofa.
Sato reminisces about the bomber case three years ago. Three years ago, a bomber sent a fax to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police containing the location of a bomb in the form of a riddle. Matsuda discovers the bombs location and realizes that the bomb contains a clue an even larger bomb and that the clue is only revealed during the last three seconds before detonation; Matsuda sacrifices his life and allowed the police to locate the second bomb.
Kogoro was invited to make an introduction in an episode of a popular detective TV serial.
During a break in the filming, the star was discovered with his throat slit, with Ruri over the body and her hands bloody. No murder weapon could be found. The immediate suspects were members of the cast, including Ruri and the Nagumo father-son.
Three game designers arrive at Kogoro's agency to ask for his assistance to look for their game programmer Subaru Itakara. He was last heard in a video mail which shows him in a hotel with an igo, shogi, and chess set.
A forensic officer reveals that the body is missing a sock impression on the right ankle, this causes Conan to realize who the murderer is.
Ran tells Conan that Akai is an FBI agent causing Conan to wonder what the FBI are doing in Japan
Conan uses his voice changing bow tie to impersonate Itakara and is able to learn of the location and time of their planned meeting.
Once arriving at their destination point, Conan reveals that the two people are the jewelry robber. Conan reveals that they hijacked a car as evidenced by the man's inability to handle the foreign car and how coins were found in the ashtray yet the man is a smoker.
The Junior Detective Club accompanied Ayumi to an apartment where she was promised by the owners, to replace her own broken ningyō (traditional Japanese doll), a complete set of 7-tier Hinamatsuri dolls if she could correctly position the dolls.
The police was called into what appears to be a break-in that occurred while all occupants happened to be out.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are on a hiking trip. When they reach the observation deck, they witness a man jump off the edge to his death. The body was found at the bottom of the hill and is identified to be Takaya Hirai. Conan investigates the scene and realizes that it was a murder made to look like a suicide.
Jiroo Kuroki calls Kogoro to help his artist sensei, Shizusan Hayakawa's, depression due to the fact he is unable to draw anymore due to his age. During a fishing trip, Hayakawa's maid finds that he had hanged himself on bamboo.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan attend a professional wrestling match where a wrestler challenges the legendary wrestler Wolf Face. Before the match begins, Wolf Face's challenger, Hyota Nagase is found dead in his room. A secret video camera reveals that a man wearing Wolf Face's mask murdered Hyota.
After re-watching the murder on the camera, Conan realizes how they will find the murderer.
With security cameras, Conan manages to have some more information. The analysis of the route taken by the alleged offender, allows the boy to understand the facts as they occurred. Conan finds the offender and reveals all through Kogoro.
Yuuichi Kusaka, a client of Kogoro's, is found dead in the park. Conan then sets up a meeting at Kogoro's office where the police and two suspects are gathered. After knocking Kogoro out with a tranquilizing and using his voice changing bow-tie to impersonate Kogoro, Conan reveals the culprit.
Conan and the Detective Boys go to visit Jun, one of their friend who is hospitalized. The boy wants to go to game room and asks his friends to help him sneak out. The children accept and Conan takes the place of Jun in the hospital. A man enters the room, however, believing that Conan is Jun kidnaps Conan and asks for a ransom from Jun's family.
Jun and Detective Boys back to the hospital and so the police understood that Conan was abducted as a hostage instead of Jun. Conan manages to escape from the place where it is locked, go to the hospital and is questioned by the police.
Heiji, Kazuha and a man named Kasukawa are held hostage in an attic of someone's home. Meanwhile, Conan, Ran, and Kogoro are tired of waiting for the two and begin searching for them based on clues from the last phone call.
While held at gunpoint, Heiji sends a modified version of the code to Kogoro and asks him to solve it. Conan manages to solve the code.
Heiji is asked by Kasukawa to investigate a man who is lurking near the house of Ryoko Morozumi. An arsonist, dubbed the Red Horse after the red horse figurines he leaves behind at the fires, has been burning precincts in order.
Ran and Kazuha receive a red horse from Genda on the way home. Kogoro realizes that Genda plans to burn the Mouri Agency with Ran and Kazuha in it and rushes home to find out that Genda had been arrested.
After investigating Genda's home, they find out that there were covert listening devices in planted by Soga and Gondou and realize who the culprit is.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are invited by Ran's friend to attend their small birthday party. There, a woman is poisoned from drinking wine, but her wine was given after someone else took a drink already. Conan figures out the trick and proves the culprit to be the murderer.
Ayumi decides that on the Detective Boys camping trip, she will attempt to address Ai Haibara by her first name and to call her "Ai-chan". During the camping trip, they run into four college students who offer them a ride in their campervan to the top mountain to watch fireworks. While driving down the mountain, one of the four college students, Yasumi Shirafuji, is found on the road dead.
After a thorough investigation, Conan finds out how the body was placed on the road and who the murderer is.
Conan discovers the truth in Iwao Akashi’s death but loses his voice in the process.
Kogoro is hired by a rich man named Mikio Fujieda to find out who wants to kill him and had been promised ¥10 million after solving the case.
Conan investigates and realizes who the murderer is after receiving a hint from his father.
Yukiko brings Conan, Ai and the detective boys to watch a Kamen Yaiba movie preview. Once there, they find out the movie has been delayed to later that night. Yukiko having to leave to catch her flight to America, leaves the kids in the care of Akira Hojima, one of the four employees of the Kamen Yaiba film. Before leaving, Yukiko tells Conan to be careful of the black car that has been following them. Akira takes the kids to his apartments near the studio and invites his fellow employees to a game of Mahjong. While everyone is asleep, they are awakened by a scream and find the salesman Furumura Norihiro murdered with a knife.
Conan calls Agasa over to reveal Akira as the murderer and to reveal Furumura's missing third shirt button had an important role in the murder.
Kogoro and Conan are on their way home when they witness a struggle between two men over a backpack. Later, one of the men fell off the building and died.
Ai and Agasa could not leave the shopping mall as the exit was blocked by the police. While with Dr. Araide, Jodie notices the sick Ai in Agasa's car and remembers her from the bus hijacking case. Jodie thinks she knows Ai's true identity.
This episode reveals bits and pieces of Ai's family. Ai knows very little about her parents, and considers her mother a cold and mysterious woman, nicknamed Hell Angel by the Organization. Professor Agasa then brought Conan and her to the house of her father's old friend, who is also a professor. Later, after leaving the bathroom, that professor is murdered, leading Ai to believe the Black Organization is behind it.
From the track of poison, Conan discovers the trick of poisoning the professor to death.
Sonoko invites Ran and Conan to attend a wedding between Shinya Ooga and Akane Katori at the Huis Ten Bosch.
Jodie is planning to leave, and Ran and Sonoko, stunned by the news, decide to throw her a going away party.
Aya's boss threatens to fire her and call the police if the case isn't solved, leaving Ran as her only hope.
Kogoro receives an invitation to a Halloween cruise; the Halloween cruise is famous for hiring guests to star in a horror film.
Conan and Haibara, along with the other Detective Boys, are walking home from school discussing the previous event that occurred, meanwhile Ran and Sonoko visit Jodie who is in the hospital recovering from her injury.
The investigation led to three suspects, all three have that model of car, do not have an alibi for the time of the attack and said they had lost the original key (the culprit can not produce data that may be bloody)
Ran, Conan and Kogoro with the Detective Kids arrive at an inn. There they meet another tourist group and a very rude man (who eventually leaves to another inn). During dinner the owner gets angry reading an article which says the inn is haunted and that's why it's popular.
The owner is taken to the hospital. Kogoro is requested to investigate the case. Even as Kogoro starts his wronog deductions, the kids continue investigating, and find that the road where the knife was leads to an end, meaning that the criminal is someone from the village or one of the tourists.
Kogoro takes Conan to a restaurant, where the waitress called Azusa, asks for his help to find the owner of a lost cell phone.
Conan finds out that most of the numbers are very close to each other, suggesting they might be neighbours.
Ran and Conan were invited to a fishing tournament that was being sponsored by Sonoko's father's company. After hearing that, Genta, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko wanted to come along as well. During the tournament, they met Ayukawa Saori and Masubuchi Takuya, both participants, and Funaki Toshihiko, a freelance writer. On the second day of the tournament, Funaki was found dead by Ran and Sonoko near the lake.
Conan and the Detective Boys continued their investigation.
A seven-year-old movie star by the name of Kazuki Kinukawa comes to the Mori office to try to find his mother who abandoned him at a church.
The forensic team reveals that Kamoshita was knocked on the head with a shower nozzle knocking him unconscious and was later strangled. While the police are watching a videotape found in Kamoshita's room, Conan notices that the movie ended two minutes earlier than the time indicated on the box and realizes how the murder is done.
Sonoko's uncle wants to capture Kaito Kid to improve his fame. Kaito Kid arrives on the scene and seemingly walks on air to investigate the treasure he will steal. Conan investigates and finds out the trick Kaito Kid used.
Ran and Conan run into Sachiko, an acquaintance of Ran's, while shopping. She says she is buying steak for dinner with her lover who's visiting. Later Ran and Conan find that Sachiko is murdered.
Takagi and Sato are on a date at the amusement park. Meanwhile, Shiratori along with several officers are at the amusement park investigating a rumored drug deal involving a dealer in hiding named Asakichi Yakura; At the same time, they intentionally interfere with Takagi's date.
They confront the golfer and discover he is not the owner of the backpack. Conan investigates the backpack's contents and upon sniffing oil from a rag, reveals the owner to the baseballer.
The Detective Boys visit a pet shop and find the owner, Minoru Shirai, dead. They find a Rhinoceros beetle and pamphlets of an insect museum at Gunma Prefecture. Takagi drives the Detective Boys to the museum where they learn that a truck load of Rhinoceros beetles were stolen from the van.
Sonoko, Ran, and Conan go to the school where they discover the real Dr. Araide is back.
Conan solves the case and reveals the culprit was a close friend to the dead student.
An old lady is found dead after a pot falls on her from the top of a building. Officer Chiba is sent to investigate, and Conan helps him figure out who the culprit it really is. The news, of course, comes to a shock to Amy, who just happens to look up the culprit.
Mouri is hired to stalk a man. He follows the man and finds out his attempted murder on a woman. He later flees but falls off a building. Later they find out his twin brother also died at the same time he did.
After interrogating the woman, they learn her boyfriend was a gold digger and that he was spotted talking with the attacker from before. Conan figures out that the two exchanged murder targets so they would not be suspected of the murder.
The Detective Boys are out fishing with Dr Agasa. Since the ship came to pick up the fishing members, one of crews calls their fellow, but the man is found to be poisoned. Remaining Three Crews of the poisoned man got involved to be suspect of the case by the circumstances of the Crime Scene.
Conan investigates and with evidence proves who the culprit is.
Sonoko takes Conan and Ran to the "Candy House", a Hansel and Gretel-themed store specializing in various sweets and candies. The trio then meets three masters who make pastries and puddings: Maeda Gou, Fujino Yasuo and Morimoto Tomomi. Behind the scenes of the shop is their boss, Sachiko Hashigaki, who has stern words for her employees about their performance. When things have cooled down, Sachiko is found bludgeoned to death, her employees are now suspects, but no murder weapon can be found.
Doctor Yokoto Ōwada of the Beika Central Hospital wins the third place prize at a raffle. The raffle makes it his third winning of the week.
Conan and the gang visit a game company where they end up with a tape they believe to be a new edition of a video game. They end up being hunted down by the president of the gaming company, but they don't know why, until they actually put in the tape and see something that puts their lives in danger.
Kogoro is invited to attend an interview with famed baseball player Toshizo Nose. Ran and Conan tag along hoping to get photos of Nose as he is Eri’s favorite baseball player.
Conan continues logically shaking Masaharu, who he believes murdered his friend, Toshizo Nose.
Conan and the group meet spider researchers. One of them gets a call, and they rush to the facility on to find their Professor fallen deadly to a poisonous spider. Conan discovers that the spider was already dead before the Professor came into contact with it, and there's a needle on the ear piece, pointing to murder.
For an astronomical observation, Conan and the group went to this pension deep inside the mountain. Other than the pension owner, there were also other three people in the pension, the victim's fiancee and the two magazine staff. As they went to the nearby hill to see the stars, they saw a decayed bones and on top of it they found the dying message and then that night the other man from the magazine staff was killed and left another dying message.
The bones probably belong to a student who disappeared years before. During the night another guest is murdered, and also the telephone lines are interrupted.
The Detective Boys are on a camping trip accompanied by Ran. Later they witness an arguing couple who then leaves. They then set up the tent in the couple's area. Later, the couple returns demanding their place back and the girlfriend decides to let them have it. Later Ran is drugged and kidnapped.
The Detective Boys along with Dr. Agasa went to the Okayama prefecture to visit the museum. Later, they found a group of guys, childhood friends, who gathered to celebrate the marriage of two of them. The Detective Boys noticed a container floating in the water and discover that inside is a secret message.
Conan discovers that the time capsules were created by the group when the children attended elementary school and that they each had buried a container of others, but a boy died shortly after due to an accident.
Conan, Ran, and Kogoro take a trip to a hot springs lodge. One of the guests, Harumi, asks Kogoro to investigate a case from five years ago.
Conan notices that the footprints outside the shrine are too shallow and sees that there is a crack in the ceiling in front of the hot spring; from these and other clues he is able to deduce how the culprit faked an alibi.
Heiji and Kazuha make a surprise visit. Later at a restaurant, Heiji and Kazuha argue for what they should attend tomorrow, a theatre or a baseball game.
Heiji and Conan figured out the trick of Culprit and also found that Kazuha and Ran got trouble with the case.
Heiji won the bet in the previous episode to go see a baseball game and so it's decided that they're all going to the high school baseball finals in Koshien Stadium. But there is a mysterious guy willing to commit a suicide bombing there.
Mouri is targeted by a killer who is after Kimura. Mouri accidentally took his jacket at a bar and now the killer is trying to kill him. Conan finds out that Kimura is not who he seems to be.
Mouri is invited by a granddaughter of a rich household to solve these mysterious accidents that happen whenever someone tries to play a Stradivarius for her grandfather on his birthday. Four incidents have happened on that day already and it is about to come up again.
It is revealed that the house hold are killed off one by one in the order of the C Concert scale.
Conan figures out the object was the real Stradivarius that lured the grandmother to fall to her death.
Kogoro is invited Kagoshima for a variety talk show to promote their local shochu and is later invited by Takakuma Shochu sample their handmade sake.
Conan, Kogoro, and the police continue to search for clues to solving the case. Conan learns more about Tatsumura, the current owner, Satoshi, and the company's history from one of the employees.
The Detective Boys are walking home when they noticed a strange jogger. Takagi, Sato, and Chousuke are placed on the case of a murder. The Detective Boys come across them and identify the jogger as the suspect.
Conan discovers that the suspect tricked Chiba's sense of time.
On a walk with Ran, Conan runs into Takagi who explains that Katsugoro Kitamura, the president of a construction company, is found dead from a stab wound. The suspect, Yuuichi Minamida, is in custody while the police attempt to figure out how the murder was done. The knife angle on the body suggests Kitamura was murdered by someone shorter than him; Minamida is 20 cm taller than Kitamura making it technically impossible.
A motorcyclist crashes outside of Mouri's detective agency. The motorcyclist is dead, but they find a suitcase with 300,000 yen and a note suggesting the money is a ransom drop.
Agasa, Haibara, Conan, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta go camping. While they're camping they find a lantern in a pond with some writing inside. They show the stone lantern to Conan who determines that it is a code to finding a large diamond. The lantern is also hiding another secret...a dead body at the bottom of the pond.
Conan, Haibara, and the kids decide to enter the house which belonged to Kichiemon a puppet maker and architect of the riddle.
The sword contains the last clue, which leads everyone back to the pond.
A woman, Fumie Ozawa, is found dead in her bathroom around 9 am, having appeared to have committed suicide by hanging herself with a thin wire, by her friend Etsuko Aikawa who claims it was murder.
A woman named Tomoko Kiriya hires Kogoro to search for her cellphone which contains messages of her affair.
Conan reveals that the person who has the cellphone is obviously inexperienced with one.
Ran turns on Conan's cellphone only to find out there is a four digit lock. She reminisces about the time Shinichi was forming words through the Hiragana and numbers found on the license plates.
The Detective Boys meet Takagi in a jewelry store, and soon after, they witness the store being robbed. They chase him to a nearby roof, which he jumps off of, killing himself. Conan notices several suspicious things about the incident, leading the police to believe that it wasn't as simple of a case as it first appeared to be.
The Detective Boys and Conan solve the case and show the police that they were wrong about almost everything that happened.
The Detective Boys and Conan meet Yuriko an orphaned girl. She is a potential heiress to her great-grandfather's fortune, but she must first solve a riddle.
The Detective Boys parallel the legend of the Minotaur and Theseus by using the yarn from their clothes to navigate the labyrinth.
One day a man was jogging and finds a dead body. He calls the Ambulance but worried about the man's life, decides to run to the nearest bus station. Because of his actions he is considered the main suspect.
Conan, Heiji, Ran, and Kazuha are at Dogo Hoshikawa’s magic show.
Tenko’s brutal murder is investigated. Conan and Heiji now realize how the murder was executed.
Conan recreates the trick used by the killer, disappearing and reappearing in front of everyone in the creepy long hallway.
Tamanosuke and his troupe are preparing a show but Renge Kataoka's father, the actress, forbids his daughter to attend the show. Tamanosuke is in trouble and asks Ran to replace the girl until it was able to convince her father to let her play.
The time of show is getting closer, Tamanosuke decides to play the show without Renge Kataoka, the actress, by replacing Ran as the girl before the end of the show. Thus Conan manages to find out who has kidnapped the girl and free just in time to enable it to play its role in the show.
The detective boys are hiking on a trip to find stag beetles on a mountain forest. . Later Conan receives a phone call from Ran and Sonoko who tells "Shinichi" that a burglar tried to steal Sonoko's bag. Since it relates to a murder, Conan investigates the picture sent by Sonoko to learn about the dying message. While at it, he helps the Detective Boys solve one of Agasa's code.
Later Conan solves both codes and finds out that Ran and Sonoko are riding with the murderer.
Kogoro is invited by TV producer Ryoko Inoue to share some of his case stories. He meets scriptwriters Joji Yagami, Morio Kouda, and Akira Sakuma. During negotiations, Joji drops dead from poison laced in his coffee.
Conan and the Detective Boys are invited by their classmate Yuka Konno to come to her house to investigate her pet budgerigar.
A man is being haunted by a ghost, since exorcisms did not work they want Kogorou to solve the case. The clue is a card that says the fifth ghost will kill them unless they repent their sins. Since the time that card was sent, the master installed a door that needs a pin code and fingerprint scan to access the top floor. The master, lady, and the installer of the door are friends who are hiding a secret about the sin.
Afterwards, the master is found dead from a heart attack. Conan realizes he must've seen something that was impossible causing him that much of a fright.
They decide to investigate the four workers of the mansion along with the accident that took place thirteen years ago.
A small three-story house is put up for rent in the neighbourhood and the Detective Boys decide to pass by it on the way home from school. Haibara tricks the real estate agent into giving them a tour of the inside and Conan notices that he could see Mouri's detective agency from the third floor window. The next day, they discover the house has been sold to an old couple and Conan finds them suspicious.
Conan, Ran, and Kogorou go to the mythical village of Izumo. there they meet Eiko Ezumi, an employee at the Grand Shrine, and learn that she is to marry a rotten businessman, Kouji Wanibuchi - founder and president of his own company. Later they meet her childhood friend, Ryousuke Fukuma and it comes to a rocky start when Kogorou yells at him. The next day, Eiko's fiancee is found dead with his Sword of the Eight-Headed Snake he was carrying goes missing.
Conan proves that Eiko and Ryou's alibis were to protect the other.
The Detective Boys are at Agasa's house when they happen to find a letter from Agasa's first love. Apparently they are supposed to meet every decade but was unable to because Agasa could not solve the code from the letter.
After Conan re-examines the hint, he realizes that the sounds were animal noises pronounced by the English.
Ayumi and other young detectives saw an olive tree on which lives a family of caterpillars. In the same area has been committed murder and a boy, despite having seen the face of the murderer, makes no witness to the police. Conan, talking with the boy, unable to understand why the boy do not want to talk with authorities.
Mouri, and Conan are checking out costumes for Mouri's one day of being a chief firemen. Later they meet people attending a costume party. While walking home, they find a police car in front of the house and meet the people from the costume shop earlier, realizing the host has been murdered.
Kogoro is asked to help News Reporter Rena Mizunashi who is experiencing persistent Knock, Knock, Ginger every Saturday for two months. Conan places a transmitter device outside the door and investigates.
Ran receives an anonymous "love" letter that has Conan worried.
Mitsuhiko tells the Detective Boys that Shouko Amemiya, a girl that strongly resembles Haibara, is missing. Conan considers the possibility that the Black Organization kidnapped her and investigates.
From Amemiya's strange behavior the Detective Boys head to a garage where they find kittens Amemiya had been tending. Unable to find Amemiya, they investigate the area around the garage and realize there had been a recent car accident.
A client named Atsushi Misumi asks Kogoro to search for his girlfriend, Ami. Deducing from her last words, they realize Ami is waiting for Misumi at the place where they first met. They are driven by Misumi to Gunma Prefecture where they find Ami in a sealed up car dead.
After investigating, Conan realizes how the murder was done.
Mōri, Ran, and Conan are at a café when they run into Takagi who is aiming to pick up girls. Meanwhile, he finds Sato there doing the same. After a tense date with two strangers, Conan realizes from the conversation that a boy home alone is in danger. When they arrive at their house, the boy has been kidnapped. The kidnapper leaves an email demanding money.
After solving clues Takagi leaves suddenly and Conan reveals who the kidnapper is.
Conan and Ran pass by a dog park and befriend two couples whom each own a dogs; one is named Musashi and the other is named Coeur. Yoriko Nakatani, the neighbor of the owner of Musashi, the Tsutsumi couple, asks Kogoro to investigate the dog Musashi who acts aggressively to her. Conan and Ran disclose they believe she did something to upset the dog, causing her to leave. The next day, Nakatani's mother in law is seemingly killed by Musashi when his teeth marks are found on her throat.
A free-lance writer comes to do a story about the Detective Boys. They go along with their teacher to the writer's apartment, but when they arrive they find that he has been bludgeoned to death.
Three out of the four messages on the answering machine are suspect, but in each one there is something going on which helps them verify the time and place of the call
Aya, who made a promise with Shinichi, comes back to his house to ask help for a case involving her grandma and her daughter that died at the age of 17.
The waitress of Poirot Cafe, Azusa Enomoto, reported she received strange messages from a boy, suggesting he might be kidnapped or trapped in a location without food and water. The only way to find him is by reading his text messages. The boy only knows how to send, but does not know how receive. Conan must put the clues he gives together to find out his location.
A man named Sasamoto is nearly killed by a falling cinder block. He believes that it's his old college friend, Hikage, who disappeared 3 years ago, but since has written a murder prophesy novel where he kills his 3 friends from college
The Detective Boys visit a Kamen Yaiba Stunt Show. The director, Shinji Fukamachi, and assistant director, Hidehiko Nakasato, scold the stunt driver, Kengo Rikiishi, for doing such a dangerous stunt with the car. Later, Kengo dies on impact and the Detective Boys investigate
Kogoro and Conan are brought to an apartment to examine the death of a man named Yamamoto. It is presumed a suicide as evidence project he put a gun in his mouth and firing.
A struggling artist named Daijirou Manaka is nearly killed by a falling I beam. While he's lying in the hospital Takagi and the Detective Boys go through his bag and find his license, a rope, a pair of gloves, and a suicide note. Daijirou wakes up and when Takagi asks him about the bag he claims to have amnesia, but Conan notices he is lying.
The Junior Detective Club are at the beach digging up clams. Soon they encounter a college group of students on similar excursion. Later, however, one of the college boy is found dead from poisoning in the car in which they had ridden
Conan is convinced that this is murder and, with the help of Detective Boys, recovers evidence to confirm his theory and the offender is arrested.
Kogoro is asked by a man to solve a coded text message from his daughter since she refused to tell him the meaning of the text message.
Sonoko, Ran, Eisuke and Conan were hiking to Sonoko's mountain villa when they discovered the bridge leading to the lodge had collapsed due to disrepair. Out of range of mobile phone signals, they went to a neighbouring villa to request the use of the house phone. They learned that it was recently bought over by a music group "Dorcus" as a den for composing new music. The band members revealed that they got the villa dirt cheap as it was supposed to be haunted.
Inspector Misao Yamamura arrived to investigate. Conan also tries to gather clues to help, but is limited to what he can do when a sneaky Eisuke starts to spy and watch him. Conan has to use different tactics so he won't seem suspicious to him.
They make a stop by a famous Rakugo actor's restaurant, Meguro. The Rakugo actor, Ichimatsu, helps out at this shop with Meguro Miya, ex-wife who is also the owner. After the play, Ichimatsu is stabbed and sent to the hospital.
Takagi and Miyamoto poses as a bride and groom in order to catch a serial killer/burglar who had threatened to kill the real bride and groom.
A famous magician hires Kogoro to keep watch on his staff members, as he believes one of them may be out to kill him.
Conan fishes around for clues in hopes of finding the true culprit. By the short trip close to the stage, Conan got some clues to resolve the case. After gaining info, he learns who's behind the trick, and exposes the true mastermind behind the death of the magician.
Conan, Ran, Mouri, and Sonoko travel to Shikoku to see the kabuki play Phantom of the Konpira. It is a play based on Phantom of the Opera. Things start to mimic the play.
A man buys a ticket to see a movie, which is a sequel to another he and his friends have seen in the past. He gives his ticket to one of his friends, then leaves, but clues he has left behind leads Conan to believe that he has more on his mind.
Manda, a well-known author, is greeted by his editor who needs his manuscript. He tells him that he is almost done and the editor goes and waits in the hotel hallway. Manda sneaks by in a disguise and goes to Haramoto's house, a man who has been ghost writing for Manda. Haramoto gives Manda the script and then tells him about a new mystery he is planning to unveil once Manda introduces him to the right people. Manda kills Haramoto with a vase and steals the detective story before returning to his hotel room.
Genta hits a baseball through the window of Haramoto's house and breaks a vase. They go inside to apologize and find Haramoto dead. Conan realizes that the victim must have known the killer, and Manda is acting suspicious especially when he interrupts the housekeeper when she mentions the mystery Haramoto was working on.
Sonoko brought Ran, who in turn brought Conan, to visit the site in the countryside used as location in the filming of a well-received romantic TV series, where the lead actress tied a red handkerchief to a tree branch to enable her lover to find her.
The murder investigation narrowed to three suspects who were recent arrivals at the nearby inn. Conan deduced the culprit and the cause of the murder.
The Junior Detective Club visited An overly strict man, since Ayumi and Mitch suggested to interview him. Later, however, the Club Crews just have seen that the overly strict man is accused of murdering a woman. Is it murder or is it self-defense? Conan must investigate and figure out the truth.
The teacher of the Detective Boys decides to give the class a mental test. Conan is called by the teacher so the class must solve it without him.
The Detective Boys are doing a book report when Ayumi notices that the last page to her book, Alec's Adventure, has been torn off. Conan and Ayumi decide to search for Tsukasa Naito, the one who burrowed out the book last.
A rockstar named Roku Itakagi has been missing for the past few days. A young boy named Takumi Hashiratani claims that on New Year's Day, he witnessed a man carrying Itakagi in a bag and throwing him over a bridge.
While investigating, they learn that Itakagi's band logo was of a snake with nails piercing through it. After questioning a tattooist, they learn that the tattoo was new and only three people have gotten it.
Eisuke asks Kogoro to investigate a mystery and believes it is crime related to The Red-Headed League
After a thorough investigation, Conan tranquilizes Kogoro and reveals the culprit.
Conan realizes how the murder was done and gathers the suspects along with inspector Misao Yamamura.
The Junior Detective League head to a pond to witness animal control officers attempting to capture an alligator snapping turtle that is loose in the wild.
Takeyori Oikawa claims that the Phantom Thief Kid is targeting his painting which is to be unveiled to the world live that day. The painting is a final part of a set of four. He hires Kogoro Mori to protect the painting from Kid.
After a thorough investigation, Conan concludes there was never a painting behind the cloth and that it was suspended by a fishing line.
Kogoro takes Ran Mori and Conan to an onsen in a rental car after being given a special deal. Kogoro then receives a call from Inspector Megure who reveals that a bomber called the police station to tell them a bomb was placed on Kogoro 's car and will detonate when his speed goes below twenty km/h.
Conan's class finds a wallet with a message from Ran ten years ago. Conan shares the story of how it got there by explaining the adventure he had in the past.
Shinichi solves the riddle and heads to the school and finds the next riddle on a stop sign. Back in the present time, Conan realizes what the riddle actually means.
Eri Kisaki is visited by Ran and Conan who came to remind her it is the anniversary of her first date with Kogoro
Kogoro takes Conan out to look for a restaurant in the city and witnesses a hit and run resulting in two pedestrians being injured. A witness reveals he saw the car waited for those two before speeding into their direction and Conan concludes it was an attempted murder.
Agasa takes the Junior Detective League to a cheesecake bakery. Genta however decides to remain in the underground parking lot and continues to kick a soccer ball against a wall. When Genta hears a strange sound, he misses his kick and subsequently losses balance and falls on his head causing him to lose consciousness
The police gather the three suspects together where Conan reveals the culprit
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are in a mall when a murder occurs on the third floor. The police arrive and seal the mall preventing people from leaving the third floor and preventing public access to the mall.
Kogoro, Ran, Conan, Heiji Hattori, and Kazuha Toyama are at a festival when a monk asks them to solve a case of a disappearing body at the temple.
Agasa takes the Junior Detective League camping, they end up being stranded in the middle of the woods. They decide to ask for lodgings from a house owned by an elderly woman named Iwae Tanaka. At the same time, Akane Ooba and her two hosts, Raito Adachi and Fuuga Kahara, also request for lodging and Tanaka complies. That night, Mitch goes to the restroom but sees something horrifying causing him to run back to his room
Tanaka dismisses Mitsuhiko's accusation as his imagination and the police continue their investigation. As Conan investigates he realizes who the murderer is.
Conan and the Junior Detective League run into Amy's neighbor, Yasuyo Akimoto, who is searching for a kind bearded policemen who she ran into multiple times last week. At the police station, they reveal they do not have an officer like that and it was against police regulation to have facial hair.
Hattori tells Conan he found someone that has knowledge on Ethan Hondou's father; However that person is dead but his grandson, Souhei Nishigun, has a photograph of Ethan's father. Conan, Vi , and Agasa travel to Nishigun's apartment and realize that someone has stolen Nishigun's photograph album and deleted the data off his computer.
Nishigun phones all three of his friends to ask what they were doing during the time of the robbery. Conan realizes who the culprit is from the phone calls and reveals the culprit.
Conan and Vi rescue a kitten from a tree and return him to his owner, Tamotsu Ishigami, the owner of a local café. A woman barges into the café exclaiming she found her boss, Kenzo Kanemaru, dead.
Kogoro is invited to attend an interview of the mystery book writer Masataka Moroguichi. The next day, Moroguichi is found dead from consumption of poison. The room was locked and the key was in Moroguichi's palm; The only opening to the room is a small window which can only fit a small child.
Yoko Okino takes the Junior Detective League to a TV studio for a tour. When they run into Onizuka Satan, a vocalist for a visual kei rock band. The Junior Detective League decide to search for his room to get his autograph.
Eri Kisaki is asked to defend Hiroaki Takeuchi who had been accused of Hit and Run incident. However the evidence suggests it was his wife, Mariko Takeuchi, who was committed the crime.
Hattori tells Conan that he met a better Detective than Conan during his middle school years and reminisces about the case.
Conan, Ran, and Sonoko are visiting a sick friend in the hospital. There they meet Eisuke who tells them he is searching for his long lost sister who looks identical to Rena Mizunashi.
Conan suspects there is a hidden component to Eisuke's story and believes Eisuke is searching for Rena with an ulterior motive.
Kakuzō shows Kogoro a photograph of Tango's body in a pool and points to a white glove Tango is wearing. He reveals that the glove was the same glove their previous butler wore before a car accident killed him, and that Tango's murder occurred on the anniversary of the butler's death.
Conan's investigation leads him to realize how Kakuzō and Tango's murder was accomplished.
Conan contacts Jodie Starling to inform her Eisuke may be searching for Rena and learns from her that Eisuke's father, Ethan Hondō, was a spy for the CIA who were investigating the Black Organization.
The nurse tells Conan that she just remembered Eisuke had surgery for leukemia when he was young, raising the possibility Rena may in fact be his sister.
That night Kusuda is caught sneaking into the nurse's lounge photographing the patient list and the FBI proceed to apprehend him. Kusuda reveals that under his cervical collar are explosives which he will detonate if they attempt to arrest him.
The FBI plan on transporting Rena to another location in one of three identical vans, making the other two decoys. Elsewhere, the Black Organization cause food poisoning throughout restaurants in the city, release poisonous gas in public areas, and start a fire in a local theatre. These incidents cause a large number of people needing medical attention to flow into the hospital.
Rena appears on television while the FBI agents are gathering the small explosives which causes them to gather to Rena's room to investigate
Rena wakes up and knocks Camel unconscious, causing the car to crash. Once freed, she reunites with the other members of the Black Organization.
The Detective Boys run into Officer Takagi who tells them the president of a foreign talent agency was murdered only a few minutes ago. The police gather up three foreign suspects, one of which includes FBI Agent Camel. Camel is the prime suspect because of his physical features and refusal to answer the questions relating to his profession since the FBI's investigation in Japan must remain a secret. Conan calls Jodie to come and help prove Camel's innocence.
Jodie arrives and tells the police that Camel is an FBI agent and that they are a couple vacationing in Japan
Conan realizes why the culprit took the memo and tells Inspector Megure his plan to reveal the culprit.
Akai meets with Rena.
Eri Kisaki is getting her hair done by her barber, Minayo Hasaka, prior to having dinner with Kogoro, Ran, and Conan that evening. Kogoro, who was on his way to pick up Eri, finds a dead body at a garbage collection point.
The police confirm that Hasaka was at the convenience store during the ten-minute period. Conan notices that there are strange scratch marks on the pole near the convenience store and the guard rail alley directly above the garbage collection point. Conan realizes how the murder is done, tranquilizes Kogoro, and impersonates him using the voice changing bow tie.
Eisuke returns to school and Ran and Sonoko take him to karaoke to celebrate his return. Conan notices that there is a strange man following them and presumes he is an FBI agent sent to keep an eye on Eisuke.
The police search the rooms of the four suspects for the blunt weapon used to murder Tatsumi Moniwa. Conan realizes that the man is not an FBI but a stalker who was targeting Sonoko. Upon investigation, Conan realizes who the murderer is.
After school, Conan receives a phone call from Jodie who tells him that the Black Organization has received a new member codenamed Bourbon.
Conan realizes who the arsonist is and reveals the identities of the "Red man", "White man", and "Yellow man" are related to types of cars
Subaru reveals that when the paper plane is unfolded, the symbols ··· — — — ··· is Morse code for SOS.
Kogoro is invited by a famous fortune teller named Reika Shiijou for an interview. Ran asks Shiijou to read her fortune; Shiijou tells her she will read it later and gives Ran her room key's diamond keychain as compensation. Later that evening, Shiijou's guests realize she has been in her room for far too long. Unable to open her door, they see her through the outside window dead.
Two TV producers, a man named Shougo Somei and a woman named Maiko Kazumi, ask Kogoro to star on his own show. Kogoro agrees and they plan a meeting for the following day. They find Nakama who had died poisoned coffee. Conan investigates the coffee stains and realizes the culprit was with Nakama before he died.
Conan investigates reveals that Somei tampered with the evidence to suggest Nakama was alone during his time of death.
Jirokichi Suzuki decides to bait Phantom Thief Kid with the Purple Nails, a pair of high-heeled footwear with embedded jewels worth a fortune, in an attempt to capture him
Kogoro is hired by the Torada family to solve the murder of Yoshirō Torada; Yoshirō was swept away by a tornado and was found by an unknown culprit, who instead of helping him, left a dead centipede beside Yoshirō and left him to die. .
Kansuke Yamato reveals that Shigetsugu hooked his fishing rod onto the railroads power lines resulting in his death. He shows them Shigetsugu's diary which explains that the four victims were the cause of Kuroto Kai's death and deduces the culprit who murdered the three victims.
The Detective Boys are at a shrine dedicated to Shōin Yoshida, a famous figure of the Meiji Restoration. While there, they witness two men attempt to wrestle a book from a woman named Kimiko Kobayakawa. After the two men flee, Kobayakawa explains that the two men are after her grandpa's diary which contains the location of a treasure which could buy a country.
The kidnappers call Kobayakawa's phone and demands Conan's group to find the treasure before nightfall.
Kogoro is invited as a guest to a wine appreciation party hosted by a wine collector named Murozou Honjou. While exploring the villa, Conan and Ran notice Honjou in an argument with a wine critic named Gorou Akamaru. From afar, Conan witnesses Honjou smashing a brick into Akamaru's skull. Conan runs to their location but is unable to find evidence of the assault.
Heiji takes Kazuha, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to East Okuho after receiving a letter from Makato Okuda addressed to Shinichi; The letter tells Shinichi to meet with him so he could explain Shinichi's deduction mistake from his past investigation.
Heiji and the others find Ran unconscious in a shed and realize the Shiragami carried her there to address her wounds. Heiji's investigates and realizes how the culprit is framing Shinichi.
Shinichi and Heiji reveal that the victim died while driving evidenced by his body temperature. They are able to narrow the list of suspects to three people by examining the time on their toll tickets and matching it with the victims.
The Detective Boys are on a camping trip when Professor Agasa's car runs out of gas, stranding them in the middle of the mountain. A man named Gouki Sudou drives by and refuses to help their situation. Soon after, Sodou drives to his home atop the mountain and an explosion occurs
Conan interrogates the party guests at Sodou's home and learns Ena has been persuading her husband to wear his wool sweater under his fleece jacket and to use his classic car for the past three weeks.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are at their usual diner but learn that their waitress' brother is a suspect in a murder.
Kogoro is invited by the manager of a theater to investigate strange occurrences. While Conan goes off to investigate on his own, he overhears Hiroshi Komazuka, one of the main actors, plan on switching a fake rapier with a real one to murder Robert Banno, another main actor, in the sword fight scene of the play
Eri invites Ran and Conan to dinner along with her friend Yuuko Arisawa. Yuuko tells Eri that someone is stalking her husband and wants her to help.
Ran decides to phone her father to ask for help, but he is busy playing Mahjong.
A person who murders people with a hammer, dubbed "Hammer Man", has been seen escaping to an apartment after assaulting a woman. Sato and Takagi stake out the apartment and are later accompanied by Conan, Ran and Sonoko.
Conan investigates the apartment and finds the bathroom to be too clean and that there is no underwear in the dryer. He deduces that the Hammer man is trying to hide his gender.
A blind rich woman named Shoudo Kuromi asks Mouri to help her find a boy who saved her life in the past; the only clue is that the boy should have a large scar across his torso.
After going over the characteristics of the boy, Conan realizes who it is.
Takagi and the Detective Boys decide to accompany Conan and his interrogation of the victim's relatives. Conan than realizes the victims share one thing in connection.
Conan notices something is strange about Hiramune's dying message, and realizes his message indicates the person who murdered him was a copycat killer.
The Detective Boys decide to investigate a spooky château but realize a man is currently inhabiting the house.
Jirokichi Suzuki receives a letter from Kaito Kid which reveals that Kid plans on opening Jirokichi's impenetrable safe, the Iron Tanuki. The letter however is not written in Kid's usual style raising the idea that an imposter is after Jirokichi's safe
The nearly hired maid and adviser inform Conan of Jirokichi's strange behavior.
While on a walk, Conan, Ran, and Kogoro hear a gunshot from a house. While heading to investigate, Kogoro was unable to catch a masked man that runs past them.
Kogoro receives a request from a client named Ryouzou Gamou to find a witness to confirm his alibi.
The Police continue their search for the suspect of the murder.
After fishing, Conan and the Detective Boys are picked up at a fishing dock by Subaru Okiya while the professor is busy. On the way home, they decide to explore an island named Ikkaku Rock and come upon a dead woman's body.
While Inspector Jugo Yokomizo interrogates the three, the Detective Boys try to figure out the meaning of the dying message.
Conan, Kogoro, and Ran all attend a concert at a local department store. After the drummer, Yuusuke Nakamura, hears about a CD Ran is searching for, he tells her to follow him to the storage room where he has a copy of it. While there, they discover the lead vocalist, Yukiko WaTanbe, dead in the storage room.
Conan, Kogoro, and Ran pass through Mount Fuyana on their way home and are stopped by Misao Yamamura who instilled a road block in order to catch the Silver Witch, a woman who drives a White FD car and challenges people in a drag race.
Later that day, Conan realizes the culprits created a mirage of driving into the air and tells Kogoro they shall capture the witch tomorrow. The next day Conan reveals the pair with the fishing gear to be the culprit.
A man named Ryousuke Oomine threatens Kazuyoshi Onda, the president of a game company, to pay his game designer the money he deserves. During the dispute, Oomine accidentally shoots Onda with a gun and leaves the crime scene. The next day, Ran and Sonoko take Conan out to an ice-cream parlor in the mall. Conan overhears Takagi and a police officer discuss the how a young girl has been kidnapped and held hostage by Oomine. Conan searches for the girl at the parking lot and frees her from Oomine's grasp. However, Oomine captures Conan and uses him as his hostage.
At Agasa's house, Oomine reveals the gun he bought was supposedly filled with blanks and it was only used to scare Onda. After Onda was shot, he reveals he threw the gun away. Conan, Oomine, Ran, and Kogoro decide to search for the gun.
Agasa takes the Detective Boys to a revolving sushi shop. While there, Ryuuzou Agatsuma, a food critic, collapses by cyanide poisoning.
While investigating, Conan realizes Ryuuzou was left-handed and finds out how the murder was done. Using his voice changing bowtie, Conan impersonates Agasa and reveals the culprit
Genta's father is in a competition where anyone with the surname Kojima are allowed to participate. Conan and the Detective Boys attend to watch the competition after hearing Genta's father making past the preliminary rounds as one of the three finalists. When it is announced the competition is canceled, Conan notices the announcer has blood on his sleeve and investigates
The police interrogate the three finalists and learn all three culprits share the same shoe size, voice, and were all left handed
Two men named Fumitaka Togashi and Tsuneo Hakamada are released on parole. The next day Togashi is convicted for the murder of parole officer Takehiko Sakuraba. Kogoro attempts to persuade Togashi who has taken an oath of silence to tell him everything about the murder.
Kogoro and Ran take the Detective Boys to an onsen in Kinosaki, Hyōgo so Conan can heal his sprained ankle. While there, Ran runs into a little girl named Haruna. Ran learns that Haruna is by herself and accompanies her around Kinosaki and remains unaware that a mysterious man is secretly stalking the pair.
Haruna is found unconscious and taken to the hospital. While her parents are arguing, Haruna sneaks out of the hospital after remembering that the man threatened to kill Ran if she did not deliver the "Rainbow Child" to him.
While driving home, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan witness a traffic collision between a green car and a red car. The man in the red car, Shun Hayami, dies from the collision due to his car catching fire. While the police interrogate Seiji Kurumatani, the man in the green car, he claims that he did not see the car at the intersection which caused the accident.
Agasa and Haibara become stranded when their car breaks down. They receive a ride from a suspicious man and woman. Haibara suspects they are part of the Black Organization when she learns that they are interested in meeting with Kogoro's assistant, Conan and how the man wants to show them his "half-kill".
Yamato and Euhara takes Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to a mansion. Euhara reveals that the mansion was owned by a rich man in the past. The man one day decided to search for five talented people and gave the five a room in the mansion until they have reached their dreams.
Yamato tells Koumei to take Ran and Conan with him to investigate the four suspects.
Koumei investigates the crime scene at the mansion and realizes who the culprit is. Before he could text his answer to Yamato, he is knocked unconscious by the culprit
Koumei regains consciousness, together they conclude that they lack the evidence to capture the culprit and thus decide to empty the Empty Fort Strategy to lure the culprit out.
Kogoro is hired by the Nijimura company to investigate a counterfeit company who has been copying their styles in handbags. Kogoro, Ran, and Conan witness the president of Nijimura become kidnapped by an unknown culprit.
Jodie Starling sees the deceased Shuichi Akai but dismisses it as an illusion. She heads to the bank to withdraw some money when a bank robbery occurs.
Conan manages to incapacitate one of the robbers and realizes the robber had changed into his clothes and realizes that the robbers plan to escape the bank by pretending to be the hostages.
Kogoro enters a barber shop and rests in a chair with a towel over his face. A few minutes later, a statue breaks and the owner, Ebihara, is found dead with a poisoned dart through his heart. Conan investigates and realizes who the murderer is.
Ran and Kazuha retreat inside the house and discover the inugami is gone. Conan and Heiji's investigation leads them to find conclusive evidence Saki's death was planned by the culprit. After hearing Ran and Kazuha's story, they realize the culprit is housing the inugami nearby and investigates an abandoned cabin. Inside the cabin yields evidence of a dog living there confirming their deduction. Nearby, Tomoaki Inubashi is pounced by the inugami and receives minor burns; an onion is found near the attack. Heiji asks Miyuki Inubashi about the family history and learns that Tsunechika had planned names for all eight of his illegitimate children which are based on the eight virtues of confucianism.
Conan, Ran, Sonoko and the Detective Boys are invited to a small island resort for diving lessons. While exploring the island, they find a filming crew lead and directed by Yuuya Miyasaka, an actor who lost his fame due to assault causing the drama he starred in to cancel. When the weather turns bad, they all return to the resort. Later, Miyasaka is found dead in his room. The resort staff, film crew excluding Miki Kitagawa, and Conan's company meet in the lobby to discuss the identity of the murderer. Due to the rooms having an automatic lock when closed, they conclude Miyasaka had let the perpetrator into his room and suspects it to be the work of one of the crew members.
A threatening letter signed "the Guardian of Time" warns that Rukako Hoshina, the mistress of a large mansion with a clock tower, will be murdered during her birthday party at 6:00PM. Kogoro and Conan goes to protect her but fails. It appears that the culprit stabbed her with an ice pick and fled from the balcony, but shoe prints and the murder weapon are never found. According to witness testimonies, the culprit is in a dress who moved nimbly, yet is plump and of a large build, yet no one in the party matches the description.
Conan deduces that Hoshina was stabbed with an umbrella, which fitted the description perfectly. A contraption on the mansion's clock tower set up by the culprit dragged the umbrella away and out of sight when it hit 6:00. The culprit is one of the party guests, Teigo Karube, who had designed this mansion and lost his clock technician friend four years ago. He reveals that the mistress treated the clock technician like trash and even threw away his friend's beloved clock, so he killed her in order to avenge his friend.
Kogoro is asked to star in an educational television program. Once there, he is introduced to guest stars and studio members. Noburo Kimijima, the leading figure of Enka, has his priceless vase stolen during rehearsal. They deduce the culprit is still inside the studio room.
After failing to find the vase in possible hiding spots, Conan realizes the vase has been smashed and reveals it is hidden inside the fanny pack of Kimijima's disciple, Shinobu Oki. Conan deduces her motive and has the guest star appraiser reveal the vase was a counterfeit and that Oki most likely destroyed it to prevent Kimijima from being humiliated on television. Oki confesses and reveals Kimijima's wife's dying wish was to prevent Kimijima from learning about the vase's real value. Kimijima accepts Oki's good intentions and reveals he made a deal with a producer who will help start Oki's debut as a singer.
Kogoro and Conan eat out at a ramen restaurant. Tokumori Saizu, the president of a real estate company, dies while beginning his meal due to poison. The police arrive and order Kogoro, Conan, and three suspects out of the shop while they investigate.
Ran, Sonoko, and Conan head to a hotel for a cake buffet. On the way there, a molester is stopped by Masumi Sera, who befriends the group. At the hotel, Teigu Usumi killed after being thrown off the hotel while fashioned as a suicide. The police arrive and reveal the annex where the victim vandalized the security camera is the only blind spot in the hotel and most likely the murder location. There, they discover a wheelchair attached to a long fishing line.
Heiji and Kazuha visit Tokyo where the two part ways. A murder occurs at the restaurant Kazuha is in, forcing Kogoro, Ran, Masumi, Heiji, and Conan to investigate
Heiji explains Kazuha went to Wakamatsu's home in Osaka per the letter's instructions where she finds a disguised person with the word "EYE" carved into the bathroom tiles. The person causes a blackout, sneaks away, and the carved words disappear.
Conan and Heiji resume their investigation while Ran and Kazuha gossip about Shinichi's confession towards Ran. Conan and Heiji discover powdered poison on Ikuro's doorknob and Serika's slippers; the evidence indicates her as Ikuro's murderer. The two confront Serika whom is found dead in her office from cyanide poisoning. Wakamatsu's secretary, Satake Yoshimi, reveals that per Serika's will, a letter of confession to Wakamatsu's murder is to be given to the police upon her death; the letter confirms Ikuro was the murderer and Serika's role in hiding the dying message.
The Detective Boys discover officer Chiba's has been vandalized with a threatening word. Realizing is the culprit is the same person who has been on a vandalism spree that month, the Detective Boys push Chiba into investigating it with his first love, Naeko Miike. They investigate an underground parking lot where the vandalism occur; There, a rear-end collision is caused by the vandalism culprit. The police seal off the parking lot leaving three people as the suspects. During the investigation, a draft removes Naeko's hat revealing her face to Chiba.
Chiba is unable to recall Naeko's face though notes his familiarity. During the investigation, Conan realizes the culprit's motif and has the police let the suspects leave. During the night, the police set up an itasha to lure the culprit out, revealing the culprit to be Tokuko Shigei. Tokuko was vandalising cars with obstructions on their rear windows due to the trauma of her child being killed by a car of the same condition. Afterwards, Chiba remembers passing by Naeko but remains unsure of her identity.
Ran and Conan meet Takae Kiritani, an elderly woman who claims Kogoro had been visiting and assisting her on a weekly basis. They discover that Ryohei Onda has been posing as Kogoro to entertain and assist Kiritani. During their visit, a neighbor, Gensuke Denikawa is found dead by the other neighbors.
The Detective Boys wish to capture a few beetles to bring to school, and as a result, visit Agasa's old friend in the mountains. The Detective Boys manage to find a bunch of beetles at night, but return to find Namatame injured. Namatame's last words are "Miyama Stag Beetle" before losing consciousness.
The Detective Boys find a strange map on the back of a piece of paper, with many 'x's at different locations. As the group visits each house, they are able to figure about the meaning behind the 'x's, as well as the identity of the murderer.
Anblick Tateno and Kogoro found a dead body in the house and a devious old man was murdered in cold blood, leaving only the letter "k" as a message. And there were two suspect who might be true culprit of the murder in cold blood, and both of them had a "K" letter in each name.
Officer Chiba is asked to help a woman who feels she is being stalked, but after the supposed stalker is found dead in her home. It is suspected she murdered him, and Conan have to uncover the truth behind the crime scene.
Ran's karate senpai, Kyodo Nanami, invites the Detective Boys for a treasure hunt at her home. Once there, they discover the fact that the treasure is very likely hidden in the Dark Tower. However, there aren't any entrances nor windows to enter the tower with. Around the estate, they also discover that this house has been equipped with various tricks and traps. Later, Nanami's mother, Kyodo Momoe, had been discovered dead, thought to have fallen from the tower. While investigating both cases, Haibara disappears, and the others also discover two secret entrances.
While investigating in a tunnel, Conan is separated from everybody else. As he realizes he has ventured into the tower itself, he lets everybody into the tower. He then tranquilizes Kogoro and explains that Momoe's death was an accident due holography and a misunderstanding. Afterwards, Haibara, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta are discovered to be safe and that the treasure hidden in the tower was a giant kaleidoscope.
The detective boys are invited by a couple for a barbecue. After eating the husband was looking for his phone get engaged into a quarrel with his wife. Meanwhile, Ayumi finds the cellphone and goes to return it to the couple finding the wife trying to kill her husband. As the detective boys go into the house they find the wife was lying on the ground stabbed in the heart.
Mouri, Ran, and Conan try surfing for the first time with their surf instructor and her much older husband. The couple soon gets into a heated argument over the safety of surfing with an approaching storm, hinting at a troubled relationship. They find the wife dead on the beach the next morning. The absence of footprints suggest a surfing accident. Conan soon observes clues indicating foul play. Sleeping Kogoro reveals that the husband murdered his wife and carried her body to the beach without leaving footprints by crawling inside a cardboard wheel.
Today is the anniversary of the death of Takagi's mentor, Wataru Date. Detective Takagi finishes work early but no one, including Sato, knows where he disappeared to. The Detective Boys are waiting outside the police station for a safety pamphlet photoshoot when a stranger asks them to deliver a parcel to Takagi's girlfriend. The parcel contains a tablet broadcasting a tied up Takagi in real-time. They have about 24 hours to figure out where he is before the bomb explodes. The police investigate the 3 old case files Takagi was recently looking over.
After discussing the suicide cases with Sato, Conan concludes that Takagi was looking for his mentor's girlfriend who never got news about his death. She committed suicide believing Date left her. The police find the girlfriend's old English teacher who mixed up the two Watarus and blamed Takagi for her death. Before Sato can get any information about Takagi's whereabouts, the old man succumbs to the poison wine he was drinking.
With the kidnapper dead, the police have to rely on the video of Takagi to figure out where he is. Conan recognizes the Western Jackdaw that is only found in Hokkaido and narrows down the search area. Every four story building is searched, but Takagi remains missing. After reviewing the footage, Conan realizes that the kidnapper placed a mirror underneath Takagi to give the illusion of a tall building. Takagi manages to remove the scarf over his mouth and name his location. Sato finds him right before the bomb detonates. In her joy over his safety, she kisses him in front of the cameras. Every police officer who was worried or crying over Takagi earlier suddenly wants to beat him up again.
Ran, Sonoko, and Sera find the body of a man in an alleyway with the kanji symbol for "death" written in blood next to it. Ran is reminded of a similar case that happened 10 years ago and heads over to the Kudo residence to look for the case file in the library. Shinichi remembers the case as the one his father walked away from claiming that the murderer would never reappear. Subaru joins the girls and Conan in their deductions.
In a phone call with Ran as Shinichi, Conan hears that Subaru compared him to a ninja. Reminded of the sanada flag with its six coins, Conan solves the mystery.
Kogoro assists the police delivering ransom money to the Nihonbashi Post Office. When arriving at the post office, Kogoro is given a briefcase with further instructions. After Kogoro falls off a boat and gets sick, Conan and Ran begin investigating, but soon...they stumble upon a body!

After tracking him down, they make him lose the stuffed toy by spilling more similar toys and the police manage to catch him when he tries to take the money. He turns out to be Kouda. Ayumi manages to find the toy with the usb and when Inoue tries to take it, Haibara stops him. Sleeping Kogoro tells them all that it was actually Inoue who stole the secret data.
As Conan, Haibara, and The Detective Boys are playing football, they meet a cat that makes rounds around the Beika area. Following it, they get locked up in a delivery truck, within which they find a dead body. The delivery men talk about how it was an accidental death and they are making rounds and getting people to notice them make up an alibi. As the kids realize that they cannot ask for help directly, Conan comes up with an idea.
The Blush Mermaid goes on display at the Suzuki Museum, stuck on the shell of a turtle swimming inside a water tank. Kaitou Kid has announced that he will steal the jewel.

Mouri Kogoro, Ran, and Conan watching the ending of an old movie staring retired actress Misuzu Shirakawa at the actress's home. As the trio tour the home with the actress, her three children, and the maid, they are surprised to witness consistent quarreling in the household with Misuzu Shirakawa being the unpleasant one. As the afternoon draws close, the actress retires to her bedroom for an afternoon nap, a car accident occurs outside, and then smoke emerges from the bedroom.
Doctor Agasa and Detective Boys including Ai and Conan went to Figure Expo to observe some Figures for research of their works. Upon hearing a woman scream, Conan and the Detective Boys rush into a room to find Kitajima lying dead on the floor from a stab wound. Thus the police have to find the culprit who killed Kitajima among the editor who was rude at him, his fiancé who was upset at him, and a fellow artist who owes him plenty and was distant at him.
Conan and the Detective Boys run into Naeko Miike and Yumi Miyamoto, who were talking about Yumi's ex-boyfriend. Naeko Miike shortly receives a call from her acquaintance, Sakurako Yonehara, about a dead body. When the police arrive on the scene, the case seems to be a suicide, but Conan points out that the ripped-out suicide note does not match the ripped page of the victim's notebook. Also, the note is signed with the victim's full name, while all of her other notes were signed with only her first name. Thus, the case develops into a possible murder.
Conan pieces all the clues together: the suicide note with somewhat strange contents, Shukichi Haneda mentioning a "well-prepared move", same phone models of all the family members, the trick behind the bedroom door closing upon Sakurako and the victim's husband entering the room, and the victim's phone on the floor.
Sonoko must go to a wedding representing her family, and since she doesn't want to go alone she ropes Conan and Ran into going with her. The groom is the eldest son and heir of the incredibly rich Hatakeyama family, and he's marrying a young woman named Miho. The wedding takes place in a very nice villa, and things go well at first until the end of the reception.
Professor Agasa takes the Detective Boys to see cherry blossoms. Conan informed Jodie Starling that Scar Akai is actually Bourbon in disguise. Professor Agasa told Conan that he have witnessed someone being hit repeatedly at the shrine grounds. After solving the case, Conan finds it weird that the suspect Benzaki does not seem to recognize the victim despite seeing her twice. Benzaki’s pregnant wife Motoe appears and falls on Jodie Starling. Both Conan and Ai find it weird that Motoe appears to be 6 months pregnant but still having morning sickness.
Since Kataoka is a big fan of Mouri, the crew got invited to Kataoka's house. While all the people got gathered in the garden, Kataoka, disguised as 'Kaito K', insisted Mouri and others to find him as a seeker during the hide and seek in his house. After hearing Kataoka scream, Conan, Ran, and Seiya head in the direction of the sound to find Sada holding the deceased Kataoka. It appears Kataoka died after receiving blunt force trauma from falling off a ladder.
Conan and his friends were playing Frisbee at the park when a dog named Matsunosuke launched off of Conan's head and caught the Frisbee. Matsunosuke's owner, Kanae Asakawa, apologized and took Conan's jacket in order to get it cleaned after Matsunosuke left dirt all over it. The next day when Conan and the Detective Boys arrived at her house to get the jacket they met Kanae's friend Tomoko and see Matsunosuke in his dog house, asleep.
Kogoro is undercover at the Blue Parrot, because Yuzuki Fukui request him to investigate on a weird popping sound she hears frequently. Conan joins him stating that Ran is angry because Kogoro is not home. But a simple investigation in a bar becomes more dramatic when Chikafumi Usuda, the company’s boss, is found dead.
As Conan and Ran are waiting for a meeting with Eri, they meet Sera, who is investigating Rumi Kitao's boyfriend, Kenya Settsu, about adultery. Thinking that Kenya will make a move upon seeing Ran, Sera has Conan and Ran approach the couple upon the pretense of needing a meal. However, Kenya doesn't seem to be interested in Ran and asks Ran to accompany Rumi to wake Waka, Kenya's ex-girlfriend. Rumi and Ran have to open Waka's apartment with a key when no one answers. Later, Ran finds Waka on the bathroom floor, but she collapses herself due to chloroform in the air.

The Detective Boys are invited on the yacht of a wealthy businessman in Shinta City. The owner's wife invited the group to eat on the boat. During lunch, the woman shows guys two videos: one in which the husband swims with the help of a tablet and one in which the man has finally learned to swim. After a few hours, the boys see the entrepreneur jump into the sea and drown.
Three different people have come forward claiming Taii belongs to them. Now it's up to the group to determine who is telling the truth.
After unlocking the door, Conan runs into the bedroom to find Teishi barely breathing after apparently falling off a chair and hitting his head while fixing a light, but something doesn't seem quite right...
Ran visits her former school friend who now lives in a shared apartment house that goes by a bunch of scheduled rules. When Kogoro and Conan arrive to pick her up, one of the housemates is found dead on her bed, and suspicion is placed on the sole male housemate who had argued with her earlier.
Yui Uehara of the Nagano police arrives and learns of the murder case and details, such as the fact that no blood traces where found in the bathroom. As the other guests are in distraught over Masaie's death, their whereabouts are told to the detective. Why were tomatoes floating in the bathtub?
A search is conducted they don't find any knife-like objects or wigs. A woman is seen lurking outside again. The group checks some pictures which point to the red hints of all the previous 'pranks'. In one the pictures, Yui points out that on the day she was found she was wearing a red coat. She notices the ones who found the knife 3 years ago were Kansuke Yamato and Taka'aki Morofushi, while they were still attending police academy. Morofushi was sure that the bones which were found belonged to the red woman, while Yamato refused to accept it.
After an unlucky while at the pachinko salon, Kogoro who walks about sees Conan at a small police office near a train-station. He walks in angrily only to find out that Conan was there only to return a found wallet. As they are about to leave the well-known comedian Rokusuke DoDonPa (real name: Rokusuke Tanigaki) walks in and announces to have murdered his chief.
Conan and Kogoro feel something is wrong with DoDonPa's all too convenient alibi. After taking on the guilt for a murder he didn't commit, DoDonPa becomes the man of the hour for trying to protect the reputation of his benefactor Tendo. Conan begins to strongly suspect him.

In the hallway on the 30th floor of Sera's hotel, various editors wait for famous romance author Hiura Keigo to finish his manuscripts. Conan tries to find out the culprit behind the attempted murder of Harumi. Ran is sent to join Harumi to the hospital, while the others continue on the tour. Conan discovers that Harumi had actually had the original clues stashed in her bag, and pretends to voice Kogoro in telling Ran to help him. Ran informs everyone that Harumi has escaped from the hospital, so the group splits up to look for her. The culprit tries to attack Harumi, but it is Ran is disguise, and the suspect is revealed to be her fiance, who had been involved in the theft of five million yen four years ago.
Conan, Ai and the Detective Boys bump into a drug dealer on the run. The drug dealer loses his notebook and Conan finds that there's a code inside about a drug exchange which is going to take place that same day. In order to stop it, they'll first need to solve the code and find the location and exact time of drug deal. The Detective Boys contact Heiji and they determine that the code is connected to the train networks for both of their cities.
With the help of Heiji, Conan and the Junior Detectives found out that the drug exchange is going to take place in Osaka, and that the suspect will be carrying a white rose. Heiji goes to the spot and finds three possible suspects, which Heiji uses his phone camera to show the kids. However, one of the suspects is acting awfully friendly and chatty to Kazuha who happens to be in the area, and Heiji becomes infuriated.
Conan finds out that the man falling into the river wasn't an accident but a murder attempt. The main suspects are: the man's wife (who he was on the phone at the moment of the crime), his partner, and one of the contestants whose sister was having and affair with him.
Conan, Haibara, Agasa and the Detective Boys spend the weekend at a cottage with the three sisters who own it and the little sister's boyfriend. After dinner, the little sister realized she ran out of medicine and her boyfriend volunteers to walk through the storm to bring her more. Once the storm has ended, everyone decides to look for him since he was taking too long, and they find him dead on the snow.
Bourbon and Conan help with the investigation and arrive to the conclusion that the culprit must have switched her cup with the victim in order to poison her. There is one problem though: each one of them is drinking a tea of a different color.
Shinichi helps the police to solve the murder case. As an apology for what happens, he promises Ran that he will take her to the new amusement park, Tropical Land, if she wins the next karate tournament.
As the group reaches their hideout, they find that it is made to resemble the crime scene where Mr. Pimple, who is Mr. Head's son, was killed. All of them, including Kogoro and Conan, are locked inside, until the culprit is revealed.
The Detective Boys and Conan met a group called the Detective Elderlies, who are similar to them. The Detective Elderlies said that they saw a thief with blond hair and followed him into a house, where they saw Kiyomasa Kuroda's corpse. The Detective Elderlies then seemed to have solved the case and said that the blond thief killed Kiyomasa, but Conan is doubting whether that is the truth.
A woman asks Kogoro to find her missing husband, who went to an unknown location to draw and has stopped communicating with her. Thanks to the last picture he sent to his wife, they are able to find the location. When they arrive, they find the missing man dead, with his painting being the only clue of who the culprit may be.
The police review a photo of the answer sheets Natsuko was grading. Jodie and Camel fail to discover any information that could help them solve the crime from the photo, but Amuro and Conan realize who the culprit is after seeing the picture.
During his Meijin title match, Haneda Shukichi receives a threatening letter from a man calling himself the Headless Shogi Player who claims to have kidnapped his girlfriend Yumi. Conan solves the second game's code and arrives at a grave on Yureizaka.
Conan and his friends go to a hotel pool where Nagami, daughter of the president of Oiso Finance, drowns to death. She had been wearing a diving tank and searching the pool for her lost necklace. Based on the crime scene, Inspector Megure believes it may have been an accident. However, the hotel bellboys claim the body in the pool suddenly appeared.
Nagami's body is discovered in the hotel pool. Megure questions Samaki, Hamaka, and Toyoshima regarding the actions they took after they left Nagami alone in the pool. The bellboys describe the situation at the pool while they were searching for Nagami, leading Conan and Sera to investigate the pool and discover which of her three acquaintances murdered her. They reproduce the manner in which the body disappeared in an experiment, bringing them closer to the culprit...
Supermarket Beikado employee Kanzaki receives death threats over the phone. He hires Kogoro to investigate the threats, but Kogoro believes it to be a prank played by a friend. However, an incident occurs the following day on Sunday...
Conan, Ran, and Kogoro are having dinner at Restaurant Danny's when they witness Ryuta Someya punch Yasuo Nashimoto in the face. Kogoro calls the police while Ryuta flees from the restaurant.
Conan helps the police solve the case and reveals the truth behind it. The Detective Boys leave the crime scene and Ai Haibara has remembered this common feature about Rum that everyone who has met him agrees on.
Kogoro, Conan, and Ran accompany actresses Haneki Ryo and Sawazaki Reina to the on-location shoot of their gourmet travels TV show. After several attempts on her life, Kogoro is hired to protect Ryo as her bodyguard and determine who is trying to kill her.
While humming the song "Nazo", Ayumi jogs toward school, but as she passes by the Makabe residence, she sees a man carrying a woman. Both people look injured, and Ayumi, peeking through the bushes, believes the man killed the woman.

A weird girl who calls herself Funachi meets with Kogoro to get his help to find a missing person. But Kogoro declines her request, so Conan decides to help her instead. Funachi and Conan work together to find a missing person named Hikone who apparently resembles a hero in an otaku game.
A drunken man was saved by Conan when he fell from the top of a building, before the man hit the other person who is standing right below the place where the man fell. It seems the man committed suicide, but the evidence lead Conan to think that someone else caused the man to fall.
One morning, the Detective Boys are on their way to an abandoned building lot which Professor Agasa has managed to loan from a wealthy acquaintance, in order to practice their soccer skills for an upcoming school match. The lot is located next to an eight-story building and was formerly the site of a mansion that is already torn down, with only a family-sized pool and a shed remaining. However, when they arrive at the lot, they find the grounds crowded by the police: A body has been found in the pool.
The police (Inspector Megure, Detective Sato, and some others), dressed in Cheetah Delivery uniforms, Kogoro, and Conan are at the Saekis' house, ready to carry out the plan to catch Reina's kidnapper. Before the housekeeper, Suzuko Tanaka, sets out to deliver 100 million yen of ransom to the kidnapper, Conan sneakily places a transmitter on the her sleeve.
Kogoro takes Ran and Conan to Tottori prefecture to come up with a story for the first Super Mystery Award. He brings them to Tottori Sand Dunes, ties up Conan, and throws him down, because he wants to write a story of how a kid who is tied up and abandoned at the sand dunes escapes from danger; in other words, he is using Conan to find inspiration. However, since this place has numerous tourists, someone is definitely bound to save any kid in that situation. As a result, he gives up on that story and that award, and they go sightseeing instead.
While Kogoro and the police detectives continue to investigate the alibis of every family member, Conan and Ran head to Nashikkokan to gather information on Naomi Senda, who they think is suspicious, from her uncle, Kozo Adachi. After a bit of investigation, the three of them realize the truth behind the robbery.
Arsons have been occurring at different children's playgrounds. The Detective Boys, accompanied by firefighters, go on a fire safety patrol. A man is seen running past them toward the direction of fire and Genta knows who he is. The Detective Boys try to find evidence to prove that the man is the arsonist.
Conan prevents an accident involving a out-of-control car with no working breaks. Someone poked holes in the brake hose, and the police investigate the incident as an attempted murder. The driver Hosoo was on his way to deliver a valuable double-sided mask to Ichikawa Ebizo, who is rehearsing at the kabuki theater. Ebizo plans to use the mask at next month's performance of "Nanatsu Men."
While on his way to meet Kaneko, Conan is kidnapped! Conan awakens in the dark basement of a building being demolished. Realizing he doesn't have his phone, he attempts to use his Detective Boys badge to call for help, but there is no answer.
The ventriloquist Tengan puts on a show about a ventriloquist who becomes possessed by his doll and murders his wife. Tengan falls victim to a genuine split personality disorder, and the personality of his doll appears and orders him to kill his wife Kazuko. The next morning, Kazuko is found murdered. Tengan confesses...
Police Lt. Shoji Kano is found dead in his home. From the body's condition, Inspector Morofushi reasons that after being strangled, Kano was hung from the ceiling. Later, the culprit sends an e-mail declaring that he will kill three additional people. Sgt. Shinsuke Akiyama is called to Mt. Saijozan by the culprit and is murdered. Inspector Yamato's fingerprints are found on the rope that was wrapped around Kano's neck, so Section One Chief Kuroda puts out a BOLO for Yamato as the suspect.
Members of the Nagano Prefectural Police are killed one after another. After observing the crime scenes, Section One Chief Kuroda puts out a BOLO for Inspector Yamato as the murderer of the three men.
In the morning, Conan notices a suspicious man watching Amuro at the Cafe. Later, on his way home from school, he spots the same man. Believing something must be up if Conan is interested in him, Mitsuhiko, Genta, and Ayumi follow the man. Conan warns Amuro that the man may be a member of the Black Organization...
Professor Agasa takes the Detective Boys to a cake buffet in a hotel, where they meet Saya Kitami and Kyona Shono, two rival actresses who are filming a drama. Kyona asks Saya if she's seen her blog and warns her that she should surrender if she doesn't want to have her secret exposed. Conan checks Kyona's blog but is unable to determine what the secret is. Later, Kyona is found murdered in her locked hotel room.

Conan remembers what Kyona said previously about Saya’s secret and tries to uncover it from her blog. After talking with the Detective Boys, he figures out the trick to the locked room!
Unemployed man Hanzaki Yasuo slips and falls to his death after he sees office worker Takedera Hitoshi wearing an alien costume. After questioning Takedera's three acquaintances who witnessed the incident, the Detective Boys investigate and close in on the truth.
A man comes to Kogoro for him in locating his missing fiancée. Kogoro narrows down the list of suspects, but Conan believes that the case was too easy to resolve.
Ran attends a concert of Risa Purple, a rising idol. Kogoro is also acting as her bodyguard. However, before the performance can start, Ran is mistaken for Risa and is kidnapped. Things take a turn for the worse when the kidnappers find out their mistake and try to bury Ran alive to cover their tracks.
Conan and Kogoro set a trap for the culprit and the real culprit behind the kidnapping is captured and Ran is rescued and rushed to the hospital.
Seven people, including Kogoro, Ran and Conan, are caught in a typhoon and forced to take shelter in a train station, along with the station master and his assistant. Kogoro receives a warning that a murder will occur. The murder occurs in the middle of the night, with no one knowing who the murderer is. Will Conan figure out the culprit before a second murder occurs?
Detective Takagi and Chiba are investigating the robbery happened in Beika involving 30 million yen. However, the robber died in a car accident and the money he stole was not there.
A rumor is floating around that Yoko Okino and soccer star Ryusuke Higo are dating when they are seen together. Yoko fan Kogoro, Conan, and Higo fan Haibara decide to investigate if the news is true. They end up in an Italian restaurant belonging to Higo's former teammate, Teiya Asuka, who is discovered in a storeroom with his throat cut.
With the owner found dead in the storeroom, the culprit appears to be an employee. Can Conan figure out which one before Higo gets blamed?
The Detective Boys take shelter from rain in a house filled with toys. As Genta is struggling to go to the toilet, they ask the two men in the house to let them in for a bit. It turns out that all is not as it seems, when they hear a woman shout out for help from within the house.
Conan, Ran, and Mouri visit a tidal park in Chiba Prefecture. Kogoro is about to take them to a seafood restaurant for dinner when they discover a body on a flooded bridge.
Conan, Ran, and Sonoko are taken to Sera's regular ramen spot, Ramen Ogura, where a murder previously occurred. Inside they find regulars Shono Yuna, Mizushina Sosuke, and Nakanishi Osamu eating. Conan finds the great quantities of condiments and seasoning they put in the food strange. After they leave, employee Sayo reveals a robbery-murder occurred in the neighborhood a few days earlier. The police chased the culprit into the restaurant, and the customers present at the time were Shono, Mizushina and Nakanishi.
The police have narrowed the suspects down to three regulars of the shop: Shono, Mizushina and Nakanishi. After the incident, Yumi ran into her ex-boyfriend Haneda, who says he heard a strange noise every time the culprit took a step. Upon hearing Haneda's story, Conan realizes something. He and Sera solve the mystery behind the reason the culprit was swinging a hose around after committing the crime, determine the reason the culprit continued to visit the shop, and close in on the truth.
After making him drunk, a man was lured to the Kometo Bridge. While his back was temporarily turned, a flashing boomerang quickly drew attention. When the man looked after the mysterious glowing object flying by, he was grabbed his legs and tipped him over the bridge railing to his death in the dried-out riverbed.
When Kogoro, Conan, and Ran go to the cottage where a zombie movie was filmed, they encounter Heiji and Kazuha there. Later, a movie crew arrives to shoot a trailer for the sequel to the zombie movie. While filming, producer Takashi Harawaki goes missing, and the others search for him in the cottage. Conan and Heiji discover Harawaki's body.
Conan and his friends discover Harawaki's body at the filming location of a zombie movie. On his smartphone is a video of Harawaki drinking hydrocyanic acid. Because only Harawaki was able to drive and there is no cell phone service at the cottage, they are unable to call the police. That night, the bedridden Kogoro tells Ran and Kazuha that zombies have surrounded the cottage. The girls do not believe him, but then they are attacked.
Camerawoman Kyoko Ejiri is found dead. On her smart phone is a video in which a zombified Harawaki bites Kyoko on the neck, and Harawaki's body has disappeared from the other room. Conan and Heiji believe this case and the one from eight years ago may be related. Gunma police Inspector Yamamura begins his own investigation, while Conan and Heiji close in on the truth.
Takarada's wife, Mika, has no alibi, and she becomes the prime suspect in the strangling when material evidence is discovered, meaning Koji will inherit Takarada's fortune. Conan suspects Koji set up Mika and questions him, but it becomes clear that Koji has an alibi. Conan goes over the facts again and gradually closes in on the truth.
Conan, Sonoko, Ran, and two friends decide to go to a recording studio to record some songs. They meet the members of a girl's band, who are arguing about their upcoming performance. The drummer is later found strangled in the studio. Three of her band members are suspected of killing her, but when the police cannot find the string used to kill her, the investigation encounters some trouble.
Inspector Megure learns the drummer often fought with other bands and believes someone else may have committed the murder. After listening to the stories of the three surviving band members, Conan checks the video of the band practicing. He realizes why the string-like weapon used to kill the victim has not been found in the studio and determines the identity of the killer and the surprising trick that was used.
Kogoro drives Conan and Kei down a seaside highway. Six months earlier, Remi hanged herself in her apartment. Her neighbor Kei blamed herself for being unable to prevent her suicide. Now Kei has moved and is working at her uncle's resort inn. Kei is showing Kogoro and Conan around the local area. Remi used fake names to flee from debt collectors. Conan finds it strange that she used her real name to rent an apartment just before she died. He notices a few other strange things about the story as well...
Conan, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta, and Ai go to the Beika Department Store with Professor Agasa. During their visit, head chef Hosogoe of the restaurant on the top floor is stabbed by a customer near the stairs. Inspector Megure questions Genta, Ayumi, and Mitsuhiko who all saw the culprit, but their testimonies are all over the place. Together the Detective Boys visit the various floors to determine the why the kids seemed to have seen different culprits.
Detective Chiba is investigating a strange case that took place three months earlier. Magazine editor Kyogo Nakatsu was suffocated to death and pressed face-first into a patch of concrete at Haido High School. The prime suspect is UFO fanatic Yusuke Kuchiki, who testifies that an alien flew down in a UFO and murdered Nakatsu while floating mid-air, and a security camera captured a mysterious shadow.
Conan visits Yusuke Kuchiki's house with Detective Chiba and Kogoro to question him. While there, Conan discovers something in the room and realizes the reason behind Kuchiki's strange actions. Later, Conan confirms the appearance of the UFO. Having closed in on the truth, Conan gathers everyone to conduct an experiment.
Building manager Koroku Hachitsuka hides the envelope containing a marriage registration form Haneda gave to Yumi and locks his computer with an eight-digit password. The location of the envelope will be revealed when the password is entered. Believing the solution may require more than one sheet of paper, Conan and his friends decide to search the room for the other sheet. During their search, Yumi notices the code sheet is a copy and not the original. This clue leads Conan to the solution.
Kogoro takes Conan and Ran to the Beppu hot springs in Oita Prefecture. Kogoro's true purpose is to find Manami Nakadai, the missing daughter of Nakadai Electric's president. It's highly probable that Manami came to Beppu to see her ex-boyfriend, Hiroyuki Hayami. Kogoro is able to find Manami, but she is then kidnapped. Meanwhile, Detective Miwako Sato and the police are pursuing an armed robber in Oita Prefecture.
Manami is kidnapped, and the bag containing the 100 million yen in ransom money is carried away by Ryuji Ogikubo using a drone. Detectives Sato and Takagi are also pursuing Ogikubo as the suspect in an armed robbery. Ogikubo takes Sato hostage and heads for the hot springs, where he plans to meet up with his accomplice and split the ransom money. The detectives arrest Ogikubo, but the 100 million yen inside the bag has disappeared. Conan pursues Manami and Ogikubo's accomplice in order to solve the case.
While Conan walks with Ran, Sonoko and Sera along a cherry blossom-lined road, Ran recalls how she met Kudo Shinichi. Thirteen years ago, Ran was being bullied by some boys in her kindergarten class. She was approached by Shinichi, who had just joined the school. Shinichi suspects something is up when he notices teacher Ronsuke Efune staring at Ran the whole time. Later, he's suspicious when Efune shows favoritism to Ran. Efune explains each of his actions, but Shinichi suspects Efune is plotting something.
Shinichi tells his parents about Ronsuke Efune's suspicious behavior toward Ran. The next day, Efune takes the children to the park far away from kindergarten. Yusaku Kudo goes to check on the children while dressed in disguise and witnesses the driver of a parked van taking photos of the children. Yusaku learns Efune's wife is staying at the hospital next to the park and begins to unravel Efune's plot.
The body of neighborhood nuisance Tatsuya Amagi is found in the park of a high-class neighborhood. He was stabbed numerous times by an awl-like weapon. Next to the body is the bloodstained medical examination card of neighborhood association president Hikoichi Bando. The police head to Bando's home to question him, but discover Bando has been poisoned with a combination of liquor and pesticides, and near his body is a bloodstained awl.
A piece of evidence discovered at Bando's home leads to college professor Yosuke Chino becoming the prime suspect. However, Conan realizes something is off about the case and reasons that the real killer framed Chino. Conan discovers an important clue at a café and realizes what really happened and the identity of the real killer.
While hiking, Conan and his friends meet campers Eiko, Ashizuka, Hayashida, and Takemi at a mountain cottage. The four of them have gathered to commemorate the death of their friend Motoki who accidentally fell to their death three years ago. Takemi, who camped by herself in a tent at the bottom of a cliff, is found murdered the next morning!
Kogoro is hired to catch a thief. While working the case, the body of Junko's neighbor Kitagami is discovered in the parking lot behind her apartment building. Kogoro reasons Kitagami got drunk and accidentally fell from his room, number 704. Conan finds it strange that Kitagami left his front door unlocked when his apartment was fully equipped with anti-theft devices...
Real estate company president Hiyama is murdered while holding a pair of scissors. The crime scene is very similar to that of an unsolved case from 17 years ago. Conan and Okiya believe former candy shop owner Senba who discovered the body is the culprit, but are unable to determine how he brought the weapon inside the annex where the crime took place. Later, Conan and Okiya question the bodyguards standing at the entrance and identify the trick the culprit used to bring the weapon inside. They even find the weapon, and they begin solving the whole case...
Kogoro is invited to go on TV with the Soul Detective who has promised to help solve the mysterious death of Kohji Haneda. When Conan and Kogoro arrive, they find the Soul Detective dead in his room.
Conan and Masumi investigate the Soul Detective murder. While investigating, Conan suspects Masumi is hiding something...or someone in her room. Does this case have anything to do with the murder of Haneda 17 years ago?
An old children's story writer is found dead by her nephew next to the park the Detective Boys are playing soccer at. All three suspects have an alibi, but what does her missing Myna Bird have to do with the case?
While cleaning Shinichi's house, Conan and Subaru overhear Ran and Sonoko talking about a musician about to release lyrics from a song written 17 years ago with the title, ASACA. Something about this leads them to believe it could be related to the Black Organization. When arriving at the musician's rehearsal, Amuro is there with Azusa from the Cafe....but it's Vermouth in disguise!
Conan and the others help an old bookseller with books he was unable to carry. While at the store, he's seen arguing with his son over getting new books they don't need. While in the park next door, a stack of books falls over and hurts the owner!
A robbery goes wrong when a gang starts to murder it's victims. One gang member manages to escape, but is shot with a crossbow bolt in the process. While Conan and the Detective Boys are on a weekend adventure with Professor Agasa, they find the shot gang member passed out on a villa property. It seems the gang is still hunting for him.
After falling head first off a cliff into the sea, Conan and the escaped gang member are thought to be dead. Having managed to get into a tunnel under the cliff, they now use their status to try and catch the rest of the gang at their next heist with Haibara's help.
The Detective Boys go to Gifu to explore and see a local hero show. Afterwards, Mitsuhiko goes to ask for their autographs. While waiting, the Detective Boys feel he's been gone a long time. When they go to their tent, they find the heroes and Mitsuhiko have gone missing!
Heiji is invited to Yadori Village along with a historian, archaeologist, reporter, and a writer along with Conan, Ran, and Kazuha. Following a group dinner, a mysterious sound is heard and a fire is started outside. A mythical beast, known as a Nue is thought to be seen outside.
While seeing the Nue outside, the historian goes missing and is found dead in the woods with claw-like marks. Ran and Kazuha move rooms after finding mysterious writings from its deceased inhabitant.
As the Nue appears again, the archaeologist has been poisoned, but everyone was visible while it happened. Conan and Heiji quickly move towards finding the culprit before another murder occurs.
While at a high tech plant, Conan, Ran, and Kogoro witness a murder. One of the employees was strangled. Was it a murder or is there more to it?
A thief makes a run for it after being caught by the person they were stealing from. During his escape, he runs into Genta, who he quickly pushes out of his way. As Genta pursues, the thief runs into another man knocking him unconscious, both tumbling down a hill. When he awakes, he switches clothes to frame the man he knocked out.
As Ran, Sonoko, and Sera try on swim suits, Conan wonders through the department store and overhears a lady accosting the other people near her dressing room. After Conan leaves, he later hears a scream from that area. The rude woman turned up dead.
As Conan investigates the dressing room murder, he thinks about a bigger mystery: what Sera is hiding about her past. Conan and Ran both begin to recall a meeting with her from over 10 years ago.
Conan and the Detective Boys get stranded in the rain and take shelter in a nearby mansion. Upon entering, it is learned the master of the house's wife died several months ago and he believes he is seeing her ghost!
Conan and Heiji go to Poirot to while waiting for Ran and Kazuha. While there, a gathering of old friends is quickly interrupted by a power outage. During the blackout, one of them turns up stabbed with blood splattered everywhere. Yet, nobody has blood on them...
With all of the possible suspects having no blood on them, Conan and Heiji quickly discover the method used. Now they need to discover the motive.
Kimika asks Jirokichi to help her open a trick box created by a mid-19th Century tinkerer. Inside the box is Luna Memoria, the world's largest moonstone left to her by her late husband. The instructions to open the box are written on a piece of paper stuck between the pages of one of ten thousand books given to Jirokichi. In order to lure Kaito Kid, Jirokichi puts the trick box containing Luna Memory on display. Conan and friends try to figure out how to open the box, while Kid lurks nearby in disguise...
Kogoro receives a letter from a mysterious person named Kurataya Komakichi claiming he wants to give him his family treasure, so he heads to Yamaguchi prefecture with Conan and Ran, but he's mistaken for a robber's accomplice and is arrested. Komakichi is the name of a robber who shot owner of Japanese-style cafe Takarada in the arm and stole millions of yen worth of Keicho gold coins. Kogoro is released after news site reporter Asuka clears up the misunderstanding. Kogoro, Conan, and Ran visit Hagi in their investigation into the case, but someone is trying to kill them.
Kogoro, Conan, and Ran arrive at a popular lakeside restaurant. On the table are five settings for dinners that have just been started, but the customers are missing. Later, Conan and friends find chef owner Kuchiishi bleeding from his head. When Kogoro asks about the missing customers, he points towards the back door. A note with the character for "curse" is posted on the door, and five sets of footsteps lead to the lake ten meters past it. Conan feels something is off about the crime scene and closes in on the truth behind the mysterious case...
Wakita seems to be getting competitive with Kogoro, who avoids going any further into the matter as it seems that the ticket he accidentally picked up was originally hers.
Eri manages to stay hidden, while trying to send coded messages to Ran, Conan, and Kogoro. Conan continues to try and pinpoint her location by what she can see and hear. Just as she's about to be discovered...
Conan, Mouri, and Ran witness Nichiuri Sports reporters arguing at a restaurant. One leaves the restaurant and accidentally takes the other's travel mug with him. That night, a body is found on the riverbank. The cause of death is poisoning by cyanide mixed into the coffee in his travel mug.
Conan and his friends discover the bodies of real estate company president Kawai Shinzo and his former employee Shibata Kensuke in Shinzo's home.
Kogoro, Conan, and Ran arrive at the boarding house Hatobue Lodge. Also staying at the lodge are entertainer Otaro, web designer Ide, stationery company employee Fujiyoshi, and local magazine writer Shirogane. Otaro's former comedy duo partner Kyujiro's body is discovered. In his possession is a card of the Masked Comet Byun, a character from a TV showed that aired seven years prior. The manager's daughter Miona appears to be frightened by the mention of Byun, and Conan investigates the connection between this case and the robbery and murder committed by the culprits wearing Byun masks seven years earlier.
After the body of Otaro's former partner Kyujiro is found, Otaro is found dead in a locked room at the Hatobue Lodge. It becomes clear that Otaro was one of two culprits wearing Byun masks responsible for the robbery and murder that happened seven years ago. It also comes to light that Manager Yuri Asako's daughter Miona was the witness in the case. The police believe Otaro died in his room accidentally after killing Kyujiro to keep him quiet, but... While investigating Otaro's room, Conan closes in on the truth...
Kogoro, Conan, and Ran arrive at a restaurant with a sitting room looking out on a river. The watermill upstream catches Conan's eye. Later, they meet Teito University students Juri, Maria, and Yuko, who ask Kogoro for feedback on the photos they've been taking to submit to a photo contest. All three leave the restaurant for one reason or another, but only Maria and Juri return. Just as they are wondering where Yuko went, they see a body floating down the river amidst the blood-red water...
Inspector Megure asks Kogoro to help him solve the case of Japanese literature scholar Reigan's murder at his home in Yotsubadai. The day before Reigan's nephew Maihama was to go to trial, he claimed he was committing a burglary in Sasago-cho when Reigan was murdered.
Painter Kitasono is murdered. Two of his apprentices visited him on that day, and his apprentice Higashio was the first to discover his body. His other apprentice Nishiyama was painting at Lake Okuho and was late. Nishiyama was working on a painting of Conan, Genta, Mitsuhiko, and Ayumi in front of Lake Okuho. Jewelry store robber Takatori pushes Conan out of a moving car. He is taken to the hospital for minor injuries but leaves at the earliest opportunity. He heads to the Shingetsu bar to follow up on his only clue. Near the bar he discovers Takatori's accomplice Utsumi's apartment and the body of jewelry store buyer Yamaga inside. However, he soon realizes that he's not alone in the apartment...
The National High School Spring Kendo Tournament is being held at Toto Gymnasium, and Heiji has made it to the semifinals. During the lunch break, referee Nukitani is murdered when he has his throat cut. The old blind man Katsunari at the crime scene says the killer headed into the bathroom after the murder. The individuals inside the bathroom, Nenji, Tsuneyuki, and Akane, are suspects. All three had motive to kill Nukitani. The tournament is nearly canceled, but Heiji panics, as he has something he wants to tell Kazuha when he wins...
The Detective Boys went to an eel warehouse's exhibit where there was a huge country fair at Genta's recommendation. Professor Agasa had asked them to bring some eels back to cook for them but, at the fair, Genta goes to the washroom and disappears. The Detective Boys search for him until they go to the loading deck and see Genta in a van gagged and attached by two mysterious kidnappers. They pursue on foot until they run into officer Yumi and Naeko's mini-patrol car and tell them to follow the truck since Genta is inside and has been kidnapped.
When Conan and Kogoro follow Ran because she's unusually excited, they see her meeting Sonoko and Sera at a café. They're planning a trip to Kyoto together. Later, waiter Saraie is clubbed to death with a large vase in the changing room of the café. Customer Motosu's restaurant was heavily criticized by Saraie on his food blog. Waitress Isuzu was being harassed by Saraie's romantic advances. The manager Tamao previously dated Saraie. All three have a motive to murder Saraie, but none of them are able to swing the vase used to kill him...
Waiter Saraie has been clubbed to death with a large vase in the changing room in the back of a café. Kogoro believes customer Motosu is faking his injury and begins accusing him. Meanwhile, Sera determines the trick the culprit used to murder the victim. However, the normally helpful Conan remains silent, apparently deep in thought...
Conan, Ran, and Sonoko go to a tangerine farm located in a mountainous region within the prefecture in order to pick fruits. Farm manager Terauchi Tetsuji scolds Sokono for carelessly picking and damaging his tangerines. Conan and his friends are treated to a variety of tangerine-based dishes at the Terauchi family home. At the recommendation of Tetsuji's wife Nobuko, they head up to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset. Just as they're finished watching the sunset, they see Tetsuji riding the agricultural monorail up the mountain, but...
Conan, Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko, and Haibara return to Professor Agasa's home after a BIG Osaka versus Tokyo Spirits match. Haibara realizes the Higo phone strap she purchased is missing. She lost it while they were on the train. In the video Mitsuhiko recorded by coincidence is a sun-tanned man with a mustache picking up the strap. Conan and his friends go to look for the strap for the heartbroken Haibara, but...
After receiving an antidote from Haibara, Conan temporarily turns back into Kudo Shinichi so he can go on the school trip to Kyoto with Ran, Sonoko, and Sera. Shinichi meets his mother's friend actress Kurachi Keiko at Kiyomizu Temple. She asks Shinichi to decipher a code delivered to her former college classmate Nishiki. While trying to crack the code, Shinichi receives a message from Keiko telling him to come to Nishiki's room, where he finds Nishiki lying on the floor upside down and bleeding from the chest with two bumps on his forehead...
In an unexpected turn of events, Ayumi becomes friends with Saki. Conan and his friends learn of Tazuko, Tachibana, and Michiyo, all of whom view Saki in a baleful way. They then learn all three of their apartment buildings can be seen from Saki's window. Tazuko's apartment is in a blind spot, but Conan and his friends believe it's possible Saki has seen Tachibana and Michiyo's secrets from her window. However, after questioning the three of them, they learn none of them hate Saki. They believe their fears were groundless, but then...

It's nIghttime at the Metropolitan Police Academy. As the cherry blossoms fall, the sounds of Furuya Rei and Matsuda Jinpei duking it out echo across the premises. Even though they're attending a police academy, Matsuda dislikes Furuya's determination to become a police officer no matter what. Neither one gives any ground as their fight continues. Around 2AM, Morofushi Hiromitsu wakes from a nightmare and hears a knock on his door. Standing outside his room is Furuya, who is covered in injuries. Upon seeing him, Morofushi asks Furuya if he thinks he'll get along with the guy who did that to him. During their morning assembly, standing next to the injured Furuya and Matsuda are their classmates Morofushi Hiromitsu, Hagiwara Kenji, and Date Wataru.

While playing soccer, Genta nearly runs into a nearby woman. She was speaking into a voice recorder, but their near collision leads to her playing soccer with the kids. After a while, they begin hearing thunder, so they leave behind the woman who seems to be waiting for someone. The next morning, Conan sees a certain story on the news...
Conan, Ran, and Sonoko have come to the newest date spot. When they discover the elderly Kamogawa Haru anxiously sitting on a bench, they go to speak to her believing she may be lost. Just then, a man appears. Conan and his friends assume he is Haru's son based on his appearance, but he is apparently her boyfriend Kazama Joji. Noticing that Haru is fairly wealthy, Sonoko believes Kazama, who is young enough to be Haru's son, is a gold-digger and cautions her against the relationship, but the couple blows her off...

Just then, Madam Gaga, a producer who revitalizes run down shopping centers, and her assistant Rabbit Suzuki show up. Madam Gaga announces that a pro wrestling event will be held to revitalize the shopping center. The shop owners engage in various forms of exercise to train, and Kogoro agrees to participate in the event as a referee, but...
Conan, Haibara, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko arrive at a takeout pizza restaurant. They participate in the store's campaign to guess the weight of a ball of pizza dough, and thanks to Genta, they win a free pizza. After splitting the pizza into fifths and placing their slices inside special boxes, they head home. On their way, all of them have their pizza stolen by someone. When the kids meet back up, each one has a torn pizza box. Conan and Mitsuhiko realize based on the damage that the culprit was after their boxes.
The Mori Detective Agency receives a phone call from client Nagamine Mayako. Mayako has an appointment at the agency office, but she seems to have gotten lost. Though it's past her scheduled appointment time, Kogoro, who knows from her social media photos that Mayako is beautiful, seems excited. The client noticed her husband has been acting suspiciously and would like him to investigate the possibility that he is involved in criminal activity. Kogoro continues waiting for a while, but Mayako never shows up, and the agency receives another phone call...
Yusaku is approached by a TV reporter when he exits the Metropolitan Police Department. He's asked if he visited the police to confirm that the false charges against Kaito Kid had been dropped. However, Yusaku responds that his assistance was requested with the series of locked room murders that recently took place. He announces that he has solved the cases and will reveal the solution on a live broadcast over the weekend and even leaves a message for Kid before he departs. However, Yusaku runs into trouble on the day of the broadcast!
Ayumi runs into a purse-snatcher and the man pursuing them, Kume Shosaku. The other Detective Boys arrive, and while they're being filled in, a body is discovered in the apartment complex the culprit fled into. For several days, pairs of unidentified foreigners have been turning up dead. While discussing the case on their way home from school, Conan, Genta, Mitsuhiko, Ayumi, and Haibara come across a foreigner who has fallen off a building. When Conan sees Vodka on the roof, he instructs Haibara to take the three kids and leave the scene. Conan discovers an FBI ID and phone displaying a coded message on the fallen foreigner and heads to the Kudo family home, where he finds a gathering of FBI agents.
For several days, the Black Organization has been killing FBI agents. They head to the location of the sound, where they find housewife Yamada Sachiko and her beloved dog Pan being attacked by a man wearing a ski mask. Rather than rescuing his owner, Pan flees during the commotion. With help from Conan and the kids, Sachiko escapes danger. Sachiko, who doesn't know why she was attacked, heads home with Pan once he returns, but Conan and the kids are curious about the masked man's goals and decide to investigate.
While on their way to go shopping, Conan and the Detective Boys hear a man scream. They head towards the sound, which brings them to a tanning salon. Inside the building is salon employee Tsunoda Yasuo, who informs them that there is a dead body in the third room from the back. They head down the dark hallway and find the body of Nishitani Shin inside a tanning machine. He is a bodybuilder with tanning gel rubbed all over his body in order to achieve an even tan. The police arrive, and according to their investigation, the gel was poisoned...
While passing by Doterasu Shrine in Beika City, the Detective Boys hear a scream and rush to the scene. They find Jupita on the ground, who struck his head after falling down the stone steps. Jupita is taken to the hospital and is likely to survive. Jupita's older sister and rising songwriter Juria and her mentor Saimon meet the Detective Boys at the hospital. Just before being attacked by a mugger, Jupita called Juria to tell her he was in another town. The Detective Boys begin investigating why Jupita lied about coming to Beika City.
While walking down a deserted road after completing a job, Conan, Ran, and Kogoro hear the sound of an alarm whistle and a scream. The sound leads them to security guard Nezu Goro, who has been stabbed in the stomach with a knife. Nezu points towards the main avenue and says the words "white clothes" before he dies. Furthermore, at the top of the stairs Nezu is thought to have fallen down is the crying and screaming Yuki Keiko and the body of her husband Yuki Hideto, the IT company president. Conan heads towards the main avenue in pursuit of the culprit where he encounters a young man dressed in black.

He persistantly emphasised his need, to ascertain all of the late Yasuki's friends and acquaintances, especially those "questionable" ones.

According to the police, the man is Takamatsu Jiro, who worked in a nearby building as a moneylender, leading them to believe the murder may have been an armed robbery or related to money troubles. The blood on the rock used to kill him suggests the culprit is covered in blood. The children, who were in the park the whole time, didn't see anyone suspicious, and the trail of bloody footprints they find ends abruptly.
