2010For the sin of falling in love with a human, Gumiho gives birth to a daughter and enters the world of humans in order to protect her young, tender child. However, Yun Dusu, the man who chose her, is the father of a dying daughter. In order to obtain a liver to save his beloved, illness-stricken daughter, he is forced to do the unthinkable: to kill Yeoni, the daughter of Gumiho. Unaware of this fact, Gumiho opens her heart to Dusu, who protects her as if she is family, and once again falls in love with a human, ultimately suffering for it. And the one man who falls in love with Gumiho, a nonhuman with more humanity than any human, realizes he truly loves her and attempts to make their love work.

Gumiho has waited 10 years to marry a human and become one. On the night before the 10th year, Gumiho's husband breaks the promise and leaves her. However, Yeoni, the young daughter - half beast and half human - follows her father.
Gumiho and her daughter, who were about to leave Yun Dusu, are arrested by Governor Jo for digging the grave.
Yun Dusu wants to have Gumiho as the concubine. Gumiho tries to feed Yeoni the liver of a cow to have her half beast and half human daughter transform back into a human.
Jeonggyu reveals his feelings for Yeoni. The two children have their pretty, first kiss.
Gumiho finds out that there is a conspiracy to kill Yeoni, who is about to die by the hands of the gang at the request of Lady Yang.
Cho-ok's illness worsens as the day approaches, but Yun Dusu cannot kill Yeoni. He's conflicted as times goes by.
Finding out how Yeoni came to see him, Jeonggyu runs after her. Yun Dusu does everything he can to save the lives of Cho-ok and Yeoni.
Determined to sacrifice Yeoni to save Cho-ok, Yun Dusu gives a sword to Mansin. At the last moment however, Yeoni gets to escape.
The mountain echoes with Yeoni's cry for her mother. Gumiho sheds the tears of blood, not being able to save her baby.
Yun Dusu is caught up with desire and pity as Gumiho looks at him with a bright smile. However, there is someone watching him in secret.
After learning that she ate Yeoni's liver, Cho-ok begins to suffer from bizarre incidents. One day, Cho-ok is drawn to the tomb of Yeoni at the sound of bells beckoning her.
Gumiho finds that Yeoni possessed Cho-ok. She tries to leave the town behind with her child. However.
Yun Dusu, stabbed by Cho-ok possessed by Yeoni, loses his senses. Distraught, he blames Lady Yang.
Because Lady Yang's charms, Cho-ok's soul returns and Gumiho loses Yeoni once again.
Lady Yang is terrified by Gumiho who is closing in on to take the life of Cho-ok every moment. Lady Yang decides to visit Governor Jo to protect Cho-ok.
