Four years after Inger Johanne Vik lived her life in Washington, working for the FBI, we find out the reasons she came back to Sweden. But will it stay in the past? Helen Tyler, the president of the United States comes for a state visit and unpredictical events happen.
Swedish police put all their resources towards the search for the American president. Inger Johanne realizes that her past is about to catch up to her when Ingvar becomes the Swedish contact person for Warren Schifford.
Inger Johanne is forced to steel herself to work with Warren. The differences in culture of the Swedish police and the FBI is becoming more and more evident when the search for the president finds the dead body of bodyguard Hunter Russell.
Invar suggests he and Inger team up to track down the mole in the Swedish police force, but Warren Schifford does his best to frustrate their efforts. As evidence begins to mount, possible leads emerge in relation to President Helen Tyler’s disappearance, but Schifford insists everything points to the work of a single individual.
Swedish police search for a mole within their own ranks, while Inger Johanne leaves Ingvar behind and goes looking for the US president on her own. Meanwhile, Ingvar pays Warren a visit and some theories start to emerge about who might be behind the president’s disappearance.
