1978Dinky Dog is an 11-minute animated segment on The All-New Popeye Hour from September 9, 1978 to September 1981 and was Hanna-Barbera's first show created and produced in Australia. Following the original network run of The All-New Popeye Hour, Dinky Dog was given its own half-hour timeslot in syndication. Thirty-two 11-minute installments of Dinky Dog were produced; two were aired per 30-minute episode.

A ghost named One Boo Bascom has moved out of his drafty old castle. The house he chose to move into belongs to Monica and Sandy's Aunt Agatha, who runs straight to her brother's the moment she sees Bascom.
The girls get a job as hostesses on a cruise ship. They manage to sneak Dinky on board without the Captain knowing. The Captain soon discovers him and locks him in the purser's office.
Monica and Sandy got a job at the circus for the next two weeks. They will be running the hospital benefit kissing booth. Uncle Dudley is helping them build their booth. Dinky is along to cause some chaos like destroying the girls' booth.
As Uncle Dudley is looking for a late night snack, Dinky's antics attract the attention of an officer on patrol and a reporter looking for a story. Monica and Sandy offer to find him that story.
Monica and Sandy find out that Camp Kookiehaha needs a camp counselor for the summer. They decide it would be a great way to get out of the house, and get Dinky out of Uncle Dudley's hair.
Uncle Dudley is complaining about the cost of dog food. Sandy tells him she can help because she has accepted a job for her and Monica to do some lite housekeeping. Monica points out that Sandy has read the ad wrong because it is really a job for lighthouse keeping.
Sandy reads an article in the newspaper that says the movie studio is looking for a dog to star in a new movie and thinks Dinky should go to the audition.
Sandy tells Uncle Dudley that she and Monica will pay for the damages caused by Dinky, so they go out to find a job. As they are driving around, they see a help wanted sign at a rundown hotel called the Heap Cheap Hotel.
Uncle Dudley is angry at Dinky again, this time because he destroyed the plumbing. This means that Monica and Sandy have to find jobs once again to repair the damage. Luckily for them, they are walking through the park when they are offered a job. They are asked to get the park ready for the new playground dedication by the mayor.
Everyone is at the supermarket so naturally Uncle Dudley starts complaining about how much it costs to feed Dinky. On the drive home, Sandy comes up with a great idea for her and Monica's next new job. She suggests getting a job on a farm so they can earn money and learn how to grow their own food.
Uncle Dudley and his nieces have taken a drive to the shore to enjoy a day at the beach. Uncle Dudley keeps Dinky busy by throwing a Frisbee for him to catch, as Sandy plays a harmonica and Monica plays a guitar. They all plan to see Buck Ferris and "The Bong Show" on the pier later that day.
