Jo and Al go to Dudley, West Midlands to meet mother and son Wendy and Wayne who have got themselves into a state. They will have to de-clutter Wendy's house so it can be sold and she can move into the annex of her son's house.
This time Jo and Al head to Essex to meet Shirley, a retired civil servant who urgently needs their help. Shirley's home has become so full of stuff that she has had to move out her own home to go and live at her mother's house.
Once again, Jo and Al are in Essex where they are tasked with helping 59-year-old biker Chaz who struggles with his mobility. The ladies need to go in and give his home a thorough clean and tidy to get him back on track.
Jo and Al travel to Yorkshire to meet Anastasia - whose house has gotten into a terrible state. She has cerebral palsy and finds any housework difficult and now her home is so dirty she sometimes wakes up with flies in her mouth.
This time, Jo and Al have their work cut out for them as they travel to Southampton to come to the rescue of Tracy. She has not cleaned her flat since her father passed away 10 years ago.
A 55-year-old widower has been threatened with eviction because his flat is so dirty and cluttered. Plus, a young family need some help to tidy up their filthy home.
Jo and Al head to Braintree in Essex to come to the aid of retired couple John and Barbara, but Jo will need to overcome her fear of birds to do so. Plus, Al is brought to tears by the state of an elderly woman's flat.
Karen's model railway collection is buried beneath 25 years of clutter, so Jo and Al clean up her dirty and dark home so she can enjoy her favourite hobby once again.
Jo and Al head to Bradford, West Yorkshire where another Jo has asked for their help. This Jo suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome and has become overwhelmed with clutter after downsizing from a house to a flat.
The first series concludes with Al and Jo travelling to the Midlands to meet grandmother Sandra who is hanging on to clothes she has bought over many years.
