The Merediths unearth an original schoolhouse chalkboard in a future guest suite. They preserve the chalkboard and give the suite a classic schoolhouse theme with stunning vintage-inspired decor.
Candis and Andy face their most opinionated client yet, their 5-year-old daughter Kit. They design a room to fulfill her dreams, complete with a forest of pink, hand-painted wallpaper, a secret playroom and one-of-a-kind antiques.
Inspired by the original 1907 baseboards and chalk tray, Candis and Andy transform a classroom into a formal den, restoring much of the original architecture to keep the space connected to its history.
Candis tests Andy's design skills as she encourages him to tackle their family room with the goal of creating a space that is the perfect mix of form and function for their family of nine.

Candis and Andy tackle their most challenging renovation yet when they convert the unfinished, third-floor attic into a livable space for their six boys, complete with eight bedroom nooks, four lounging rooms with hammock chairs, a locker room and more.
For the final room in the school, Candis and Andy design a color-filled and playful space where the kids can explore their creativity.
For the third and final guest suite, Candis and Andy pull inspiration from the Art Deco period of the 1920s and '30s. They visit an ornate, Art Deco-style high school and work to achieve a similar look on a smaller scale and budget.
With the renovation of their school-turned-house coming to a close, Candis and Andy focus on the exterior as they say goodbye to their first family home.
