1Colonel Bleep was the first color cartoon ever made for television. It was created by Robert D. Buchanan, and was filmed by Soundac of Miami. The show was originally syndicated in 1957 as a segment on Uncle Bill's TV Club. 104 episodes, of varying length of between three and six minutes each, were produced. Of these episodes, slightly fewer than half are known to survive today.

Colonel Bleep, interplanetary intelligence agent from the planet Futura, has been sent to Earth on a top secret mission to observe its people, places, and customs. Accompanied by his two companions,Squeak the puppet, and Scratch the caveman, Colonel Bleep travels through time and space to fight for right and justice!
Colonel Bleep, Squeak, and Scratch want to have a home. Squeak has made a sketch of the kind of house he's dreamed of. From that sketch, the Colonel builds Squeak his house, and a cave for Scratch, and of course a laboratory for himself where he can carry out experiments with the power of Futonic energy.
The United States launches a rocket when suddenly a strange beam comes from the moon and takes control, aiming it at zero zero island. Will our hero's be destroyed.
