2014 / NRIn search of inspiration, rock band “Excellent Souls” — Lee Mingi, Kang Hyeok, Yoo Hancheol, Han Gijoon — goes on hiatus deep in the countryside. To their surprise, the village elder is none other than Kang Yoonhee, a zippy woman who's not only the town’s first female leader, but also the youngest. She also just so happens to be bandleader Mingi’s first love. Amidst a rural backdrop, these scrappy rockers take stock of what stirs their passions — both musical and romantic.

As the leader of the washed-out band of yesteryear Excellent Souls, Lee Mingi is strapped for cash. Upon his grandmother's passing, he realizes that his inheritance of land might be a prime area to grow cabbages.
Mingi and his buddies discover that farming cabbages is harder than they anticipated. Together, they cause numerous disturbances in the tiny village, where Mingi runs into his first love.
Mingi and his friends meet two mysterious girls in the village, then discover that farming is more expensive than they thought. Kang Yoonhee must win the upcoming Village Olympics in order to remain as village foreman.
After accidentally setting their house on fire after a drunken night, Mingi and his friends are forced to stay with Yoonhee. The town's pride is on the line with the upcoming Village Olympics, and Mingi and his friends help to train the townspeople.
Hadurokri prepares to go against their rivals in the Village Olympics. Mingi and his friends learn that they need the village's farming god's help to plant their cabbage seeds.
Mingi teaches Kang Minho how to deal with a bully. In order for Mingi and his buddies to use the greenhouse, they must help Park Sangdeuk prepare for his blind date.
Mingi runs into his former crush, Han Yoona, unexpectedly, causing him to deal with his lingering feelings. The cabbage seeds begin to sprout and get moved over to the field for the first time.
The entire village works together to find the culprit responsible for stealing the crops. Lee Sooyeon finally agrees to go on a date with Yoo Hancheol.
Mingi's lingering feelings towards Yoona has Yoonhee feeling jealous, despite having a suitor of her own. Sooyeon tries to turn away from Hancheol's feelings and heads up to Seoul.
The Hadurokri townsfolk participate in a relay protest against rising rice prices. Both Minho and Hwang Mingook are embarrassed about their upcoming Bring Your Father to School Day.
The neighborhood kids worry about Bring Your Father to School Day at school. Yoonhee and Kang Hyeok inadvertently spend the night together and Mingi's past come to light.
The villagers head up to Seoul with their crops to sell at the street market. Yoonhee has to stay at home with an injury with an unlikely guest who takes care of her.
The village prepares for a national sing-off show in order to promote their apples. Mingi and his friends discover that the little snails in their cabbage patch are pests, not adorable.
It's Han Gijoon's birthday, which brings a surprise visit to the neighborhood. The village continues to prepare for the sing-off auditions and Mingi starts to see Yoonhee again in a new light.
Yoonhee pretends to be lively after being visited by Pianist Lee Hyeonseok. Hyeonseok's existence concerns Mingi.
Yoonhee becomes a village tour guide for those who want to experience the farm life. Minho goes to Seoul.
A four-man band is now in danger. The band members are determined to sell them in the capital of Seoul.
A meteor falls in Hadurokri and crowds of eager treasure hunters flock the village. Mingi and his friends have trouble selling their cabbage and try to find new opportunities to make their album.
Mingi finds out about Yoona and Hyeok's secret. He sends off Yoona to the United States to start anew.
Sooyeon finds out about Hancheol's limited days left to live. They go on a date and complete his bucket list.
