201820 year old Tsukimi Kurashita can barely see without her glasses. She came to Tokyo from Kagoshima Prefecture to become an illustrator, but she doesn't attend college or sells any of her illustrations. She lives at a communal apartment. At the apartment, only otaku type women live there. Tsukimi Kurashita likes jellyfish due to memories she has with her late mother. One day, due to a jellyfish, Tsukimi Kurashita meets Kuranosuke Koibuchi. He loves fashion and his hobby is to dress up like a woman. She also meets Kuranosuke’s older brother Shu Koibuchi. Her life soon changes because of them.

Tsukimi, one of the tenants at an all-female apartment called Amamizukan, is thrown for a loop when she finds a naked man in her room! An unlikely friendship is formed between an otaku who is a lover of all things jellyfish, and the elder son of a politician who loves to cross dress.
The Amamizukan is going to be torn down. Kuranosuke gives the Amars a dramatic makeover, in preparation for the battle against the developer. Tsukimi secretly feels that Kuranosuke is an amazing person.
How does a jellyfish dress look like? Tsukimi feels sad when she finds out about Shu and Inari. Shu questions his own feelings for Tsukimi while Kuranosuke's real identity is exposed.
The Amars are once again dragged along by Kuranosuke’s impulse to make more jellyfish dresses. Conflict arises between them due to Kuranosuke’s decision. Meanwhile, Shu keeps getting involved with Inari because of his dad.
From finishing Jelly Fish's debut collection, putting on a fashion show to being a model, the Amars try to save the Amamizukan. So what's next for the Amars?
Even though their goals are the same, rifts emerge among the Amars. Will their friendship crumble before the Amamizukan gets torn down?
Things don't always go based on your plans just because you're passionate. The Jelly Fish designs are put to test. And the battle is about to begin!
Tsukimi agrees to go to Singapore to work as a designer in order to save the Amamizukan. Is this the only way the Amars get to stay? Will they let Tsukimi go?
Everyone is trying to stop Tsukimi from going to Singapore. But getting her back would mean the end of the Amamizukan. Things never go as planned.
It is the Amars' final transformation. Shedding their shells, the Amars find confidence in their individuality.
