Seasons & Episode
Melinda quits her job at the Country Club and gets another as bartender at Hotel Malibu. Her colleague, Harry is half-way forced to get Nancy Salducci a job cleaning hotel rooms. Commissioner Reynolds is being bribed by the hotel's manager to let it be torn down. However, the Commissioner is even more tempted by Nancy Salducci's female attraction.
Commissioner Reynolds is awkwardly sitting on the doorstep to the bathroom of his hotel suite. Although it is obvious he is dead, Jack doesn't call the pollice or something. He is too eager to overcome the buraucratic obstacles at the county to sell the hotel. So the 'Do not disturb'-sign is still at the Commissioner's hotel suite door.
Melinda moves away from her father over-protective domain and into an apartment shared with Nancy, whose brother, Harry, gets a grim surprise, when Stevie's fiance unexpectedly arrives. Jack Mayfield flirts stubbornly with Melinda, at the same time halfheartedly letting Dan investigate how to burn down the hotel. Melinda's father dates Jack's mother.
Nancy's 'former' husband, Louis Salvucci, arrives from prison and makes Nancy, now Witzard, feel double booked. Jack wants to show Mark and Stevie how a romance with someone from a lower class should be run, but Melinda has long ears.
Sal tries to cheer Ellie up as she prepares for the worst; Stevie discovers some unsettling accounting discrepancies as she works with Jack to turn the hotel round; and Harry introduces Louise to a ""good catch"" to distract her from further extortion attempts on Nancy.
