2006Murder 101 is the name of a series of four TV movies released by the Hallmark Channel between 2006 and 2008, and now appearing regularly on the Hallmark Movie Channel. While on the Hallmark Channel, it was broadcast in rotation with the movie series McBride, Mystery Woman, and Jane Doe, under the umbrella title Hallmark Channel Mystery Wheel. Murder 101 stars Dick Van Dyke as Dr. Jonathan Maxwell, an absent-minded and brilliant criminology professor, and his son Barry Van Dyke as Mike Bryant, a former cop who is working as a private investigator. Both had previously starred together as father-and-son crime solvers in the TV series Diagnosis: Murder. Barry Van Dyke's son Shane Van Dyke appears in two of the films as Ben Manners, Mike Bryant's nephew who was studying to be a lawyer and brings more technological aspects to the sleuthing.
