2008Burying Brian is a New Zealand television series produced by Eyeworks Touchdown which premiered on Television New Zealand's TV ONE on 2 July 2008, and ran for 6 episodes. The series is about Jodie and her three female friends. At the beginning of the first episode, Jodie's husband Brian dies during a domestic dispute. Jodie believes that she may go to jail for his murder, but her friends convince her not to report the death, but instead to bury the body and make it appear that he has run off with another woman. Although the series was a ratings success, no further episodes were made after the first season.

Jodie is struggling with her secret, Theresa is feeling the strain of lying to her husband, and Gerri is ready to snap. To make matters worse, Brian's mother Rhonda turns up on Jodie's doorstep.
Jodie tries to get on with her life, but it seems everyone else has other ideas, including Brian, whose secrets are starting to come to light. Their son Josh makes an inappropriate new friend - Brian's very young, very pregnant mistress, Kimberley. Plus, the four old friends finally have a major falling out and earthmovers are digging up the vacant lot next door.
Jodie's friends have ditched her, leaving only Denise who is behaving strangely. When her plan to move Brian's body goes badly wrong, Jodie is faced with blackmail on one side and discovery on the other.
While Jodie searches frantically for Denise, Theresa finds support from an unlikely source. Can Brian finally be laid to rest?
