Cheerleader Nation is a US television series based on the Paul Laurence Dunbar High School cheerleading team's ups and downs on the way to Nationals, of which they are the three time champions. The show also explains how cheerleading is an intense physical activity. It takes place in Lexington, Kentucky. The team is on a quest to win a third National Championship. After an intense tryout puts the girls to the test, it turns out their mothers may be the first to crack. A freshman tries to push past the trauma of a bad fall, and some fierce resentment flares when a new girl wants to make the squad.
An injury forces the new squad to rethink their stunt groups. Chelsea goes head-to-head with her mom over her curfew. Nicole must choose between her best friend and her man, and a surprise Sweet 16 party ends in tears.
The coaches squabble as the big competition approaches and it appears the squad may not be ready. The academic demands and family expectations leave Ayrica rattled, and Amanda's mom worries she's growing up too fast.
