Politics can be a dirty game. And when one city landfill closes, it opens the door for upheaval. Then-city council member Jasiel makes mayoral moves.
Sam Sutter defeats Will Flanagan in a special election. Less than a year later, Jasiel defeats incumbent Sutter. But new evidence begins to surface that could put Jasiel in jeopardy.
Rumors run amuck in Fall River. Meanwhile Jasiel defeats Linda Pereira in his second election. But when the FBI enters the picture, a federal indictment catches up with Correia.
Amidst a pending federal prosecution, some Fall River residents call for the mayor’s resignation. But Jasiel, deadset on his innocence, carries on business-as-usual for his city.
Jasiel refuses to step down, but new candidates and competitors crop up. Paul Coogan brings experience and age with his ticket.
Jasiel is recalled, but is swiftly voted back into office. His sights are set on his impact and legacy, but another federal arrest gets in his way.
