Seasons & Episode
Mike Holmes faces uncharted territory when the homeowner who needs his help is none other than his son, Michael Jr. Michael's modest renovation ideas are turned upside down by Mike's ambitious plans to gut his bungalow and add a second story.
Tensions run high as Mike and Michael Jr. run into a revolving door of disagreements, including the second-floor layout, exterior brick choice and even the necessity of a dishwasher. Then, after months in the making, it's all Holmes on deck to complete the house before the big reveal.
Mike and Michael Jr. take things to the next level as they decide to go into business together. They purchase an outdated, suburban property and face a wonky layout, too many stairs and open-concept headaches.
Mike and Michael figure out the open-concept dilemma at the Suburban House and turn their attention outside, where their plans for a spacious new deck come up short. They must quickly find a solution before the fast-approaching open house arrives.
Mike finds a potential investment for Michael and himself, but the property is three-and-a-half hours away on St. Lawrence River. Things get even trickier as structural issues accumulate, causing stress levels to rise and the budget to go off the rails.
Mike throws Michael a curveball that has major consequences for their business partnership. The rebuild of the River House continues as they battle muck, rain and snow, and after many stressful months, the property is ready to be revealed.
Mike and Michael buy a bungalow in the country that sits on five acres with a barn and two-car garage. It also has major water issues, leeching bed woes and a flooring battle that won't be swept under the rug.
Mike and Michael rush to finish the Country House before winter hits, but their schedule and budget are tested when an open permit, left on the barn by previous owners, is discovered.
