Peter Parker, still reeling from the death of Gwen Stacy, hunts down those responsible. When his leads turn him on to a mysterious man at the top he realizes he may be in over his head. With the help of Detective Jean De'Wolff Spider-Man must stop the criminals from their assault on Oscorp.
Spider-Man and Jean search for any clues that will lead them to the identity of The Big Man. Soon, their paths cross with Black Cat who isn't exactly who she appears to be. As Spider-Man's world gets more complicated a new threat emerges: The Shocker!
Spider-Man and Black Cat break into Oscorp in search of information on the identity of The Big Man. Max is approached by a mysterious figure to help him out of money troubles.
Captain Stacy puts out a warrant for Spider-Man marking him public enemy number one. Peter and Felicia plan to take on Kingsley before they are interrupted by an old threat. Max's world spirals as he is hit with an unforeseen tragedy.
Peter tries to save Max as his powers become more and more unstable. The two friends face off in an electric season finale.
