Seasons & Episode
In this episode, we get acquainted with the inhabitants of the "Pentagon" — a house in which there is no sewerage and heating, the roof leaks, the balcony railing and the entrance doors fall off. The heroes of the film — like sailors on a sinking ship — run from one hole to another, trying to patch them up, but they are afraid to complain to the administration: "it would be worse." Although, it would seem, where is it already worse?
One day two Pauls arrived in Novouzensk. Pavel Provotorov, a resident of the Pentagon, received a leave of absence before being sent to war in Ukraine. Pavel Plotnikov was brought from Ukraine in a zinc coffin.
Lena managed to get a job in the online banking support service, buy an apartment on credit and leave the Pentagon. Aunt Natasha firmly decided not to go anywhere and not to complain about anything: "They don't touch us and they don't touch us. As they say, you can't jump above the authorities anyway." The stormy celebration of the New Year at the Pentagon ended in a scandal, after which the operator Alexander left the project ahead of schedule.
The visit of the public advocate invited by the film crew ends in a complete fiasco: the residents of the Pentagon clearly do not intend to fight for their rights. A drunken firefighter accidentally met in a cafe passes a cruel sentence on Aunt Natasha and her neighbors: "This is a home for those who could not realize themselves." It's hard to argue with this, but who is to blame for this: the people themselves or the government, which left them alone with their troubles and remembers their existence only when fresh cannon fodder is needed?
