Brown's third series, Feasting on Asphalt explores "road food" in the historical and present-day United States, with an emphasis on unique restaurants and regional cuisine. In the first two seasons, Brown and his crew seek "good eats" across the country, via Brown's BMW motorcycle. "As far as I’m concerned, there’s no better way to experience the road than from the back of a bike," says Brown. During the third season, Brown trades the motorcycle for a boat to island hop throughout the Caribbean with a similar mission.

Join Alton as he begins his journey along the Mississippi River in search of honest and authentic road food. He and his crew mount their steely steeds at the Gulf of Mexico and start their adventure feasting their way north.
Alton Brown and his renegade band of motorcycling flavor seekers invade Mississippi, a land where just about everything is deep fried and sauced in secrecy.
Alton and the gang roll into Memphis and consume everything in sight from smoked ribs to cherry shakes to chitlins.
Alton and the boys ditch the bikes to camp on a mid-river island for a few days. Then, it's on to St. Louis.
Pies, Pies, and more Pies. The crew is destined to taste every pie in the mid-west. Other stops include Morel picking and harvesting asparagus. Not to mention the fried Chicken Livers.
The ride wraps up with a fishing trip, a very large meal, and a new tattoo. Oh, and some very stinky fish.
