10 new pastry chefs were invited to the MasterChef kitchen to compete for a $100,000 prize and the Dessert Masters title. In their first challenge, they were given three hours to prepare their dessert masterpiece. Jana's Tunnel Vision dessert and John's coconut and lime creation were the top two, and John won the Secret SOS box, which would grant him a hidden advantage during a future challenge.
Contestants are stunned tonight when they find out that their dish must somehow incorporate movement—it might drip, turn, float, ooze, or dissolve, but it must also be delicious.
Nine contestants - Darren, Katherine, Reece, Jana, Dan, Donato, John, Alisha and Emelia - are set to compete in the competition's very first elimination challenge.
