2011When high schooler Subaru's basketball team is disbanded for a year, his aunt talks him into coaching an elementary school girls' team.

Tomoka's father forbids her from attending the upcoming festival, and does not approve of her playing basketball. Subaru offers to speak with him.
Tomoka has a one-on-one match with Mimi. Mimi and Kagetsu go to Takenaka for help to form a new team of 5th graders to play against the 6th graders.
The 5th graders show off the results of their talent and training under Subaru's father in an earnest match against the 6th grade team.
As the 6th graders prepare to practice, Subaru encounters his old rival who coaches a middle school team. He challenges them to a three-on-three game.
Subaru, Airi, and Tomoka train hard for their rematch against Ryuichi's team with coaching from Banri, Takenaka, and most importantly, each other.
Subaru and Aoi win a trip for two to Kyoto that coincidentally falls on the same dates as the 6th graders' school field trip to the city.
Maho's father invites Subaru and the team to a party and asks them if there is anything he can do for them. After thinking a moment, Subaru responds.
The 5th and 6th grade teams face off in an exciting match in which they keep adjusting their strategies to get ahead as their coaches cheer them on.
Saki and Masami get into a culinary duel at a food fair, assisted by their respective teams, when they suddenly encounter Rena from Suzuridani.
The 5th and 6th graders join up to train each other for an upcoming tournament, where the Suzuridani team looks forward to their match together.
In an emotional match between Keishin and Suzuridani at the tournament, the 5th graders are fired up at the chance to prove themselves against Rena.
The game goes into overtime, and the 6th grade team gets substituted in to show what they can do. But Suzuridani promises to fight back, too.
