Its target audience is preschool kids and Nanalan' is "designed to foster children's curiosity and love of learning, with the hope they will carry it with them as they grow". Excerpts from the show also air on Fox Kids UK. Nanalan also aired on Nick Jr. as short episodes in between shows. Nanalan' began airing in 1999. In 2004, it was nominated for the following three Gemini Awards: Best Performance in a Pre-School Program or Series; Best Writing in a Children's or Youth Program or Series; and Best Pre-School Program or Series. Nanalan' won Best writing and Best performance, an award shared by Jamie Shannon, Jason Hopley, Marty Stelnick, Todd Doldersum, and Ali Eisner. Several compilation DVDs of the show and a CD of musical highlights are also available.

This episode is all about smells! Mona likes the smell of flowers while Russell likes the smell of garbage! Mr. Wooka performs the puppet show "the magical Sniffy Thing" and Nana reads a great scratch and sniff book called "Sniffer"
Mona eats a whole plate of brownies and gets a big tummy ache. Nana helps her to feel better, and they prepare a healthy fruit salad! Mr. Wooka performs a show with a pair of puppets who argue about the best foods to eat, and at the end of the day, Nana sings a song about all of the different fruits we can enjoy. Delicious and nutritious!
When things come together to make a whole, the result is magical! Instruments form a band, a full plate is served at lunch, and a ripped stuffie gets stitched back up. At the end of the day, Nana reads a story about Mr. Kirkus, a ringleader who needs help pulling all the acts together to complete his circus!
Mona is feeling under the weather today, but a little rest, Nana's magic soup and a personal puppet show are sure to help! Mr. Wooka performs a musical puppet show about a sick little monster and her doting parents. At the end of the day, Nana reads a story called "Sammy Duck Feels Yuck", all about taking a rest to get better when you're sick.
A big purple bug gives Mona and Russell a good scare! Mr. Wooka shows them there’s nothing to be afraid of, and performs a puppet show about two monsters so afraid of each other they can't be proper monsters. Ready to conquer her fears, Mona puts on the purple monster costume in Nana’s closet, and has lots of fun being scary! At the end of the day, Nana sings a song about being a brave little monster.
Mona has fun blowing bubbles in her milk until Russell spills the cup all over her! In this episode, Mona learns to name the emotions she's feeling. Nana sings a song about different feelings, and Mr. Wooka performs a puppet show about different moods, Nana reads a story about a grumpy kitty.
Mona spends the night in Nanalan'! Nana takes her outside with a flashlight to explore all the cool things that happen in the night, and Mr. Wooka performs a mesmerizing shadow puppet show! At bedtime, everyone has fun jumping on the bed together and Nana reads a story called Simon Squirrel about a squirrel trying to get comfy!
This episode is all about Halloween. Mona & Nana dress up in their costumes. Mr. Wooka does one of the best musical numbers in the series called "Shake Your Bones" , Then Mona goes trick or treating for the first time!
Apple trees have a lot to offer! Mr.Wooka shows Mona everything we can make with the wood from trees, including silly dancing puppets! Freshly picked apples make a tasty treat, and Nana reads a book that Mona’s mom made when she was a little kid, all about apple trees!
