Fish Police
1992 / TV-PGFish Police is a comic book series by cartoonist Steve Moncuse. The plot centers on law and crime in a fictional underwater metropolis with the protagonist, Inspector Gill, trying to solve various, often Mafia-related, crimes while avoiding being seduced by the buxom Angel Jones. The comic featured several marine species as its characters, while the plots and dialogue were reminiscent of film noir. Original Fish Police stories were published from 1985 to 1991, and featured the early work of Sam Kieth as inker.

A terrorist is trying to sabotage the Miss Fish City beauty pageant.
Gil thinks that he has finally caught his nemesis Calamari, when the Codfather is murdered and all fins point to Calamari. However, the Codfather's funeral reveals that the Codfather staged his own murder in an attempt to throw off the federal agents. Gil has no choice but to let Calamari off the hook.
Unknown to Inspector Gil, Calamari's newest plot is a Gil impersonator who stirs up a sea of confusion throughout Fish City.
When the Fish Police Charity Ball money is stolen, Gil suspects Calamari's three slimy nephews. However, Gil is under accusation as well, by Angel and Pearl, after he invites both of them to the Ball.
