The UK version was also aired in the United States in 2004 on ABC Family, and its popularity resulted in ABC ordering an American version. On August 24, 2007, it was announced that the show had been cancelled, along with shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and You Are What You Eat.

It's another year for the campers, and instead of the usual 6 we now have 7 UK brats; Alex(15) Alex has been a binge drinker and has been expelled from school, but has maintained her interest in beauty. Joe(16) Shelagh and Mark, have been concerned that he is a bad role model because he is so full of hate. He did badly in his GCSEs, but has been keen on his punk band, guitar and saxophone.
