As Brooke prepares herself for her comeback at the annual Calle Ocho concert in Miami, she receives an unexpected call from her father explaining that he's in the emergency room with an injured back. He decides to go for a radical operation to get rid of his constant pain. Brooke wants to be his caregiver, but also wants to perform well at the concert.
Ashley finds inspiration from the green movement and hopes to get her reluctant roommates to follow along. But Brooke becomes annoyed with her after she starts limiting her shower time and shutting down lights around the home. Will recycling break up the roommates?
The roommates find a cute stray dog but it's against condo rules to have pets. They can't locate the owner before a preplanned road trip to Key West. Luckily, Hulk happens to be coming into Miami that weekend so he and old wrestling pal Brian "Nasty Boy" Knobs agree to watch the dog.
Brooke's roommate Glenn is invited back to his tiny hometown in Michigan to give a speech at his old high school. It's the first time he's gone back home since the world learned he was gay on Brooke's TV show. Brooke and Ashley travel back with him for emotional support. While the girls squirm and squeal doing the dirty work on the farm, Glenn wonders if his family and old friends will accept him.
Hulk brings Brooke and her roommates and his girlfriend to visit NASA's training center for the upcoming Space Shuttle launch. But Glenn misses his new boyfriend he just met in Miami.
Brooke's musical career gets a boost when Hulk sets up a musical collaboration with a hot new artist Colby O'Donis. When Brooke and Colby meet in the studio, there's clearly more than just a musical connection. When Colby's Dad brags that his son can charm any woman, Hulk gets upset. Will Brooke and Colby make beautiful music together?
While still uneasy about her mom's relationship with a 19 year old, Brooke does miss her mom. After a silence lasting nearly a year, Linda and Brooke make overtures at reconciling. But can Brooke really go home again?
Brooke is weary about an offer she and Ashley receive from two Miami gentlemen to receive $20,000 to show up at a yacht party. While Ashley is excited over getting her first offer to appear at a gig for pay, Brooke finally gives in and agrees to go. But after hitting the main deck they realize the are just two of only six women on board. What can they do now?
Glenn is disappointed by a flurry of bad dates. Brooke makes a wild suggestion for Glenn to try dating a woman again. After explaining that switching teams is not too easy, he asks Brooke: how do you know you don't like women? So the roommates make a pact to all date women for one night.
Brooke finds herself struggling to find her bearings after the past year her family had gone through. The Hogan's are in the middle of a nasty divorce. Brooke wants to meet her dad's new, much younger girlfriend. Mom also found herself a new, younger boyfriend and Brooke hasn't spoken to her for 10 months now. Can Brooke keep her ssanity and be the rock of the broken family?
