Mot i Brøstet is a Norwegian situation comedy created by Tore Ryen. It originally aired on TV 2 from 22 January 1993 to 8 December 1997 and has since aired in reruns on various TV2 channels. It was the commercial Norwegian sitcom, and remains popular with fans, even fifteen years after its end. It was released on DVD in 2007. A spin-off, Karl & Co, aired on TV 2 for three seasons from 1998 to 2001, spawning a total of 63 episodes. Another spin-off, Karl III, aired on TV 2 in 2009, but was cancelled after only 12 episodes due to negative reviews.

Nils and Henry illegally connects to the neighbour's TV channels. Henry discovers that TV signals can be broadcast both ways, and together with the two other guys they start up their own TV channel in the garage.
Henry is admitted to the hospital for a thorough medical check. Karl is curious of what Målfrid really is doing at the hospital among so many men. Nils becomes addicted to sex.
Karl is bothered by the fact that he's spending the easter holidays at home, instead of going skiing and getting a tan. He gets very jealous when he learns that Nils has managed to borrow a cabin up in the mountains, and threatens to throw him out of the house if he gets a better tan than himself. This way, Karl is permitted to borrow the cabin from Nils, unaware that Elna is planning to visit Nils in the hut.
Nils is asked to watch over the neighbour Fredrik's premium dog, Zico. Karl is not very happy with this, as he is scared of dogs. Karl is going on a date with Målfrid.
The neighbor, Kristine, comes over and tells them that she is being forced to sell her house on foreclosure. Karl and his friends decide to set up a charity concert to save the house.
Karl's mother-in-law pays a visit. Nils is sick, so his mother comes visiting also. When the two ladies arrive, Henry ends up being a popular person.
Henry attends a course to learn to hypnotize. He successfully hypnotizes both Karl and Nils, but for Karl it inflicts long lasting consequences.
There has been a burglary at Karl's house, and Nils is trying to make it more burglary safe. Karl decides to quit smoking, on the doctor's advice.
Henry gets a surprise visit from an unkown relative from America. He is also asked to watch over the rich neighbour's house and car while he is away. Henry finds this really convenient, as he is trying to impress his grandchild. Nils attends a school to learn to become more self-confident.
The friends start up a somewhat questionable contact agency to earn money, and end up getting trapped in a corner by a lovesick man.
Henry and the two others start giving medical advice over the phone, but things tend to get out of control. Karl meets Målfrid, but bails out before the date.
Karl is working on his tax return, and together with Henry he gets an idea how he can get back at his former boss. Henry buys an answering machine, which Nils doesn't really understand how works, as he seems to believe there is a person sitting inside it.
Karl working as an economist, and Nils working as a janitor for the same company, both end up getting fired at the same day. Karl's wife leaves him, and Nils, having no other place to live, moves in. Later on, Henry comes knocking at the door, and saves Karl from getting thrown out from his own home.
