Popee, an apprentice clown, and his assistant, Kedamono, attempt various circus acts and go about their daily lives as performers. Things have a way of going wrong, however—whether it's a blinding rage, burning jealousy, or even something as simple as hunger, and their mentor, Papi, is little help to the chaos they tend to find themselves in.

After an accident while dancing, Popee's eyes fall out and Kedamono accidentally breaks them. After Popee can't find his eyes, Kedamono tries to help him find a replacement.
Popee tries an escape act.
Popee demonstrates his talent for sword swallowing and becomes over-zealous, resulting in disaster.
While practicing trick shots with a shotgun, Kedamono and Popee must stop a stray bullet.
Popee puts on a gorilla mask made by Kedamono. Kedamono is horrified as Popee starts acting like an actual gorilla and must stop him from getting further out of control.
Popee tries to get Kedamono to jump through a ring of fire.
Popee demonstrates his karate skills and attempts to rescue Kedamono's birthday cake from a Frog. Frog's first appearance.
Popee becomes irate after Kedamono's ability to pantomime nearly runs him over.

After catching Kedamono sneaking around to practice knife throwing, Popee forces him to practice...as his target.
While performing acrobatics on a barrel, Popee becomes stuck inside. Kedamono tries to help as things get worse.
Popee tries to limbo. After becoming frustrated with his lack of success, he has Kedamono give it a go, who is very good at it. Jealous, Popee increases the difficulty.
Popee attempts to practice the sawing-in-half trick on an unwilling Kedamono. Surprisingly, it's successful. At least, until Popee tries to put him back together...
