Tragically in 1988, John’s wife died of cancer, aged just 32. John was left as the sole parent of three children, all under 10. He had to immediately give up the job he loved to look after the children, initially going onto benefits to survive. His much-loved Ford Mustang understandably went under a cover (although standing on grass) and has stayed there ever since for 33 years. Tim and Fuzz step in to help bring this vintage bit of US muscle back to life.
In a departure from the norm, Car S.O.S travel to Southend to take on a 1978 JCB digger. The vehicle belongs to former carpenter Kev who has recently suffered two heart attacks and is now unable to look after his pride and joy.
Tim and Fuzz are off to Dorset to pick up a 1987 Renault Alpine GTA. The car belongs to former computer technician David, who has sadly been struck down by throat cancer, leaving his beloved car off the road and in desperate need of some TLC. His friends and family hope Car S.O.S can restore David’s pride and joy back to its former glory. Features motoring broadcast legend, Vicki Butler-Henderson.
Tim and Fuzz travel to Rochdale to collect a unique family heirloom: a 1953 Riley RMF. A now rare British post-war classic has been handed from father to son for 70 years. Current owner, Richard, has been unable to get the Riley up and running, so Car S.O.S has been called in to try and make an automotive dream come true. However, the boys discover there's more to this restoration than meets the eye. Features friend of the show and all-round petrolhead, Edd China.
Tim and Fuzz travel to Oxfordshire to collect a 1973 Porsche 911 Targa belonging to Ben who has been unable to get the car up and running due to life getting in the way and developing early onset dementia. Wife Jeannetta and friend Andy hope that Car S.O.S can breathe new life into this old classic. But is the car too far gone for the boys to repair?
In a Somerset barn, Tim and Fuzz find a rundown Jeep Grand Cherokee belonging to former soldier Ben, who after sustaining life altering injuries, has made it his duty to inspire and help others. But his car doesn’t inspire much confidence in Tim and Fuzz as they must turn this beaten down classic to an off roading machine! Can the boys do this, or should they have left the car back at the barn? Features a surprise Hollywood A-Lister…
Tim and Fuzz take a trip back in time when they take on a tatty 1986 Rover SD1. The car was once the pride and joy of landscape gardener Darren who won awards with it at car shows. Sadly, when tragedy struck, Darren’s beloved car ended up out of sight and out of mind, rotting away in a dirty lock up. Can Car S.O.S come to the rescue? Features legendary TV host and fellow car fanatic, Jay Leno.
After three years of unthinkable tragedy, the loved ones of a widowed father of two have rallied together to cheer him up, and Car S.O.S is here to help
