Mina and Karen purchase a home near the Northside neighborhood that's full of historical features. They do their best to design an open floor plan while preserving as many elements as possible, but structural slow-downs and permitting nightmares threaten their schedule and budget.

They are determined to rework the entire floor plan, but their renovations are halted when they hear unexplained noises in the attic, discover a collapsing floor and uncover live termites. In order to get a payoff as big as the house, they'll have to work through a hair-raising renovation to bring this house back to life.
