The House in Fata Morgana Season 2 Full Episode Guide
In that sea of gold is everything they ever wanted. Here, the girl is not a saint, and the young man not a lord. Beautiful fields of wheat stretch as far as the eye can see, and the people are kind and welcoming. Houses are spartan, meals are modest, and money is worthless. But this is life the two of them always yearned for. The girl knows this realm is just an illusion, but still she wishes to remain. "So I'd... I'd like to indulge in this childish dream for a little while longer..."
The mansion has been released from its curse and the souls of its inhabitants returned to their rightful places. And in their next lives, Michel and Giselle have managed to find each other again. This tale is a small slice of the life they always sought together.
Living alone in the dark mansion, Michel's emotions have eroded away with the years. And then one day, a traveler arrives at the mansion, sick and with very little time to live. The witch presses him to leave the young man to die, but Michel opts to take him in to observe him. At first, Michel is put off by the young man's talkativeness. But in time, he comes to appreciate the traveler's curious outlook and perspective, and they begin to develop a friendship. What will come of this strange meeting between outcast and dying man?
Each believing the other to be dead, the young man and the girl set off on separate paths. He believes that rank and power are all he needs to protect those he loves, and she cuts herself off from the world to protect herself. As the years pass, though, power begins to corrupt the young man, and he loses sight of why he sought it in the first place. The only thing left in his once-earnest heart is the image of the girl he so loved. Their paths will cross again in time, though it will be anything but a happy reunion. And thus the two tales will converge, and past will become prologue.
The girl was always happy—not a sorrow in the world. Through kidnappings, beatings, and abuse, the smile never left her lips. She never felt sad or hurt or scared... ...because she was simply incapable of it.
The wicked lord holds his sword high above a bloody and battered girl. But as he prepares to swing the blade down upon the young saint's neck, a revolt breaks out, and she is rescued in the ensuing chaos. The instigator of the revolt, a young man, takes the girl in, but her trauma from the lord's torture has taken root too deeply, and she remains closed off. Only after years of a normal life is she at last able to cast off the cross of "sainthood" and find happiness with the people who care so much about her. But revolution is brewing in the slums she now calls home...
