Anna Springer is taking a break from her job to write a book about her experiences as a detective. Meanwhile, a young saleswoman is found dead in a delivery van at the Münster weekly market. Detectives Overbeck and Drechshage, who are representing Anna Springer in ongoing investigations, take over the case. René Rösch is soon suspected of having committed the murder. He has a relevant criminal record and a flawed alibi. Anna is under pressure to write her second book that is better than the first. At the same time, there are increasing signs that someone is after her. Could the threatening incidents possibly have something to do with the old criminal cases that Anna deals with in her first book? In her distress, Anna asks Wilsberg for help.
