The season kicks off with Matt Roloff traveling to Iraq to help a family with three dwarf children in desperate need of medical attention. Matt returns from Iraq with big plans for the farm as the twins, Jeremy and Zach, prepare to graduate from high school. Daughter Molly is cramming for her drivers' license and youngest son Jacob hits the field as his focus on soccer grows. Mom Amy learns to let go—she realizes the kids are growing up and she needs to focus on herself, too. The house continues to undergo an extensive renovation, and the family heads to Florida for a much-needed vacation.

The Roloffs travel to the Little People of American National Conference in Detroit, Michigan. It was at this event 22 years ago that Matt met Amy at a Motor City Micronauts basketball game - and Amy reunites the Micronauts for a celebration.

Amy and the kids continue their visit with her parents in Michigan. There, she takes the kids to see the house she grew up in. It's an emotional moment for Amy as she tearfully recalls her decision to leave Michigan to start a new life in Oregon.

After months of renovation, the Roloffs are remodel-weary - especially now that it's winter. But when Matt decides to "go green" and install a gigantic geothermal heat pump system, the whole family chips in to warm up their house again.

When Matt Roloff learns of dwarf children in Iraq who need medical intervention, he makes the difficult, dangerous journey into Baghdad to find the family, befriend them, and get photos and x-rays to bring back to America for evaluation.
