Decked Out Season 3 Full Episode Guide
What do you do when you have a yard with a strange shape? If you’re Paul you take full advantage of it. In this episode Paul takes a pie shape yard and creates a triangle-shaped deck to compliment it. The deck has three areas that all encourage huge parties. There’s a built-in bbq area with an outdoor fridge, a large dining area and a gorgeous lounge with comfy furniture, beautiful steel cut privacy screens and lights to warm up cold nights. Homeowners John and Olga now have the backyard space they’ve always wanted.
Geeta and Taran want something a little different. This couple wants to take their boring backyard and make feel as if they’re back home in Trinidad. Taran also wants a bbq space where he can cook large family meals. Paul can’t wait. This backyard is transformed into a space that begs you to relax. There’s a hammock space with white river rocks beneath and a gorgeous cedar pergola above, a bbq zone, dining area and a stone lounge with a fireplace. This yard went from a place Geeta and Taran didn’t want to spend time in to a place they won’t want to leave.
Anne and Dave love their home, but they’re ready for a new deck. The deck has some sentimental value because Dave built it 20 years ago with Anne’s father. Paul decides to try and keep some of Dave’s original structure but gives the deck a facelift – plus a few extra touches. In this episode we see a deck completely transformed into an entertainer’s dream. There’s a bbq area with built-in counters, a lounge zone that looks out over the pool and a spectacular circular enclosed dining area with stone clad walls and a cedar roof. Dave and Anne get to keep a piece of the past while having a completely new space for their family’s future.
Karen and Rob have very busy lives. And a yard they don’t like. They love their home and want a space outside where they can unwind. Paul wants to give this busy family a place to relax where time stands still. Paul transforms an awkward space into a place this family won’t want to leave. There’s a hammock, a dining area, a built-in bbq, a breakfast bar and a fireplace zone with a glass-illuminated clock where the hands don’t move. Leave it to Paul to find a way to make time stand still. This family is going from having a space they don’t use to a space they’ll always want to be in.
Conrad and Cristina have a unique challenge with their backyard. They need a yard to accommodate their family of nine. That’s right - this busy couple has seven children. They need their deck and yard to be a play space for the kids, a low-maintenance space for the parents, and a great hangout and eating area for their family as it grows up. Paul and the gang fight through snow, rain and cold in an effort to create exactly the deck this incredible family needs. With a dining area, built-in benches, a play structure and a bbq zone, this deck has it all. Their deck incorporates everything they want and it gives this family a unique space that will grow with them.
Diane and Russ aren’t your typical couple and they aren’t looking for your typical deck. Diane is an artist and musician and wants a deck that reflects her creative personality. The couple also wants a space that reflects their gorgeous backyard that actually has a stream running through it. And at one point the stream has Paul running towards it. Paul decides to build the deck in the shape of a guitar, with a hot tub area that has an interactive metal sculpture above that you can actually turn, and a fire feature.
Judy and Mick have lived in their home for over 40 years. They have a beautiful backyard and a deck that has seen better days. Now that they have five grandchildren who spend the summers at their home, they want to re-vamp their space into something that the whole family can enjoy. Paul decides to start from scratch and replace their old deck with a three-level space that has a bbq area, a sit-down bar, a dining space, a huge lounge with a sectional sofa, a fire table and a gorgeous cedar pergola overhead. After 40 years Judy and Mick will have the family space they’ve always dreamed of.
This episode proves that just because you have a small space doesn’t mean you can’t try big ideas. Shelley and Michael want a place to relax and they’ve given Paul complete creative control of how to get there. Paul transforms a narrow strip of yard into a grown-up lounge filled with comfy furniture, marble-clad posts, a grilling station with a stand-up bar area and LED lights embedded into the deck that change colour. Did we mention there’s a remote control for the lights? This is one lounge Michael and Shelley will never want to leave.
Tom and Katrina decided that instead of a cottage they want a deck that feels like a cottage getaway. Tom also has one special request – he wants an outdoor lounge with a TV. In this episode Paul and the crew exceed all expectations by building a gorgeous deck complete with stone clad walls and posts, cedar beams, a cedar roof and an outdoor kitchen complete with a quartz countertop. This spectacular three-season space is an all round stunner.
What do you do when you have a West Coast woman who misses home? You bring home to her backyard. In this incredible episode Paul builds a backyard deck that feels like a ski chalet in the mountains. This deck has everything including a circular pergola with a curved couch that surrounds a fire feature - perfect for cold nights sipping hot chocolate.
In this episode Paul gets to design a deck for Boris, an executive chef and his wife Keren. And what’s the main feature? A gorgeous stainless steel kitchen with custom stainless steel pergola posts overhead. But that’s not the main feature for everyone. There’s also a lounge with a huge hanging fireplace and comfy cushions. Oh, and of course the putting green, which is a particular landscaping triumph. Paul and the crew fight through bad weather, heat and crazy ideas. Order up!
Paul and Ronit love their yard, but feel it is missing a deck. Their space has particular challenges including incorporating a beautifully landscaped pond and leaving enough green space for their playful pugs. They also want a deck that can be used for three seasons. Paul accepts the mission and builds three separate deck spaces including a breakfast bar with 700-pound glass top, a gorgeous metal fire feature, and a lounge area with hot tub that gives a perfect view of the pond.
Can you build an escape in your backyard that feels like one of your favorite travel spots? Absolutely. In this episode Paul and the crew take on one of their biggest challenges ever and completely transform a backyard to feel like a travel destination with an Asian flare. This yard has it all: fire features, waterfalls, and a grilling area that would make any man’s heart sing. This deck takes staycation to a whole new level.
