Sugarfoot is an American western television series that aired on ABC from 1957 to 1961. The series stars Will Hutchins as Tom Brewster, an Easterner who comes to the Oklahoma Territory to become a lawyer. Jack Elam is cast in occasional episodes as sidekick Toothy Thompson. Brewster was a correspondence-school student whose apparent lack of cowboy skills earned him the nickname "Sugarfoot", a designation even below that of a tenderfoot.

When Sugarfoot inherits a mine and a mule team he is hard put to realize any value from them. He begins to build a railroad spur to work the mine but is blocked by a man who wants to gain control of the mine.
After a mine cave-in, Sugarfoot is trapped with a half-breed Indian who has been accused of murder. The man tells Sugarfoot that he has been wrongly accused and that he hid in the mine to escape from the lawmen hunting him.
Sugarfoot is on the trail of a renegade who is selling guns to the Indians. Learning that his quarry is connected with a traveling puppet show, Sugarfoot joins the show.
when four stagecoach passengers are kidnapped by masked bandits, Sugarfoot is dispatched to raise the ransom money.
A pretty Indian girl guides Sugarfoot as he drives a wagonload of supplies to a Pawnee village. But he doesn't realize just what cargo he's carrying.
A group of teenagers decide to become bandits. Sugarfoot tries to help the sister of one of the youngsters who wants to keep her brother from a life of crime.
Sugarfoot, as acting sheriff, is asked to help find a woman's missing husband. When he finds the man, he realizes that he is a wanted outlaw who must be taken into custody.
Sugarfoot's boss, Lucy Barron, tells him that there is a large sum of money owing on her ranch and that it's threatened with foreclosure. Sugarfoot determines to protect his employer's interest.
A friend of Sugarfoot's decides to write to Sweden for a mail-order bride. Convinced that he isn't good-looking enough to attract a young lady, he sends along Sugarfoot's picture instead of his own.
Sugarfoot, who has been studying law by correspondence, is tricked into serving as a juror in a crime case in which his own employer is the plaintiff. As the trial progresses, Sugarfoot comes to the realization that some of the evidence being presented is phony.

Mercy Preston schemes to use Sugarfoot to dispose of two men who stand between her and the possession of a rich mine. Her sister Patience attempts to help Sugarfoot.
Sugarfoot comes to the aid of a silver-mine owner who can't meet his payroll because he has been robbed.
Reunited with his childhood sweetheart, Sugarfoot is disappointed to learn that she is now a dance-hall queen. She tells Sugarfoot that she is trying to break away from this life, but a ruthless cattle baron intends to force her to marry him.
When a trail boss is shot by outlaws, Sugarfoot is appointed to lead a cattle drive to a secret destination. The cattle-owner's daughter reveals this destination to a charming cowboy who then joins the rustlers in an ambush.
An elderly rancher, bitter at the world, uses a gunman as a means of avenging himself. Sugarfoot attempts to stop the gunman's reign of terror, but first must talk to the old man.
Sugarfoot takes a job with a rancher, unaware that his new employer is involved in a range war. Then he learns that the owner of the rival ranch is an attractive young lady.
Crooked politicians in Bluerock appoint Tom sheriff after noting his poor shooting aim. Tom, however, takes the job seriously, and in the sheriffs office he dons a pair of boots standing against the wall. A pretty girl who is watching him says he's not man enough to fill her father's boots and, to prove her wrong, Tom sets out to find her father's killer.
