Tane finds Stanko in a bar. Tane tells him to go to Toponica and talk to Prince Djordje , the author of the painting "The Black Sun", which hangs on a wall in Avakumović's house.

In the late evening hours, Tane and Stanko meet again at the inspectorate - at the masquerade at the House of Commons. Wife of public prosecutor Vojin Djukic, Violeta, someone cut off his head. Tane notes that the victim and Maja Davidovic have identical costumes. He examines Maya and Vojina and quickly concludes that Maya is Vojin's mistress. But, Chief Dimitrijevic appears on the inspectorate and forbids Tane to further question Vojina and Maja.

One night, the kozjak Aljoša kills a priest of the Russian church who found him in the robbery of treasures hidden in the church walls. Young Inspector Stanko Pletikosic gets his first task - to solve this murder together with the inspector-inspector and veteran veteran Andrej Tanasijevic Tane. Stanko seizes Tane in the bar, and the beginning of their cooperation does not seem to be promising.
