Penny's uneasy about her starring role in the school play, because her leading man is betrothed to an arranged marriage. Meanwhile, Trudy's sister--a theater actress--oversteps her level of expertise by playing a motherly role.
Penny and her friends become local celebrities after appearing on a TV dance show, but Oscar threatens to pull the plug on their fame if they don't abide by his dress code. Also, a bowling rivalry develops between the Prouds and their neighbors.
Disheartened over his parents' divorce, Sticky turns to a gang for solace until a worried Penny steers the boy under Oscar's fatherly guidance.
The Gross sisters call Penny out after she clues the school principal in on their bullying ways; BeBe and CeCe visit Dr. Payne for their shots.
Suga Mama is heartbroken when her poodle, Puff, goes missing. To ease her sorrow she spends more time with Penny. Meanwhile, Oscar and Trudy worry that it is their fault the dog has left without a trace.
Penny has a change of heart about Valentine's Day after a secret admirer spray paints her name across town; and Trudy plans a romantic dinner for Oscar with help from the creepy Chef O'Boy.
Penny is swept back in time to February 1955 to learn the importance of black history, a subject she once found boring. In the past, she finds that her school relegates black students to the back of the classroom and there are no lessons in black history being taught. She also finds that her friendship with Zoey, who's white, is forbidden.
The Boulevardez family moves in with the Prouds after Oscar sets fire to their home. Then, Lacienega's ego suffers a blow, courtesy of Penny. Also, the twins take to calling Felix "Da-Da."
Penny is the pooper at her own party until singer Lou Rawls drops by to liven things up.
The Gross Sisters split up when Olei gets a makeover and joins the ranks of the popular kids. Also, the Proud twins star in a commercial.
The Prouds celebrate Christmas by inviting a homeless family to their holiday dinner, where the guests share with their hosts the rituals of Kwanzaa.
Penny is entrusted with her very own credit card, which she plans on using responsibly, but it seems to have a mind of its own. Oscar, meanwhile, nearly spends his family out of house and home in his attempt to catch a mouse.
Penny's grades fall victim to a long-time grudge held between her teacher Ms. Dinkins and Suga Mama; Oscar and Trudy enroll the twins in a private preschool.
Penny breaks her father's no-dating rule when she goes to the amusement park and pairs up with a boy named Carlos. Elsewhere, her parents go on a double date to a day spa.
Penny's efforts to impress a boy at school land her on the football team; and Oscar develops a new snack food called jelly poppers.
Oscar pushes Penny to enter a spelling bee so that he can vicariously relive his own glory days; and Suga Mama goes shopping with the twins.
Penny's crush on a new boy at school has repercussions beyond her wildest dreams when she helps promote his music-sharing Web site.
Penny befriends a magician's pet tiger when she begrudgingly takes part in Take Your Daughter to Work Day.
While Oscar and Trudy are away at an awards banquet, Penny throws a giant party complete with loud music and boys.
Penny leads her peers in a strike against their parents. The kids refuse to do their chores until they receive a cost-of-living raise.
Penny thinks she's made the cheerleading squad, but arch rival LaCienega Boulevardez shows up and ruins everything, so Penny enlists the thuggish Gross sisters to help--but they make matters worse.
