Dog tries to cut down on his smoking, but it's not so easy with such a high-stress job. Today, Dog has to track down Walter, a fugitive who believes that the Canadian military planted a chip in his tooth that allows him to communicate with his van, which is just an old piece of junk.

Dog and his team pursue a heroin addict named Eugene. When they find him, Beth tells him about her first husband (whose life was ruined by heroin) and pleads with him to enter rehab. Meanwhile, Dog and Beth plan a surprise birthday party for Leland.
Dog tries to nab a fugitive named Wayne by tricking him. Dog calls Wayne to tell him that he's won a new vacuum cleaner and he should stick around to get it. Dog then sends his daughter, Lyssa, to "deliver" the vacuum cleaner and lure Wayne out of his house. But when Lyssa arrives, Wayne is gone, and with the sun setting, the chances of nabbing the fugitive suddenly don't look very good.
