Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, later called simply Rehab with Dr. Drew, is a reality television show that aired on the cable network VH1 which chronicles a group of people as they're treated for alcohol and drug addiction by Dr. Drew Pinsky and his staff at the Pasadena Recovery Center in Pasadena, California. The first five seasons of the series, on which Pinsky also serves as executive producer, cast celebrities struggling with addiction, with the first season premiering on January 10, 2008, and the fifth airing in 2011. The sixth season, which filmed in early 2012, featured non-celebrities as treatment subjects, and the series name shortened to Rehab with Dr. Drew. Season 6 premiered on September 16, 2012. In May 2013, Pinsky announced that season six was the final season, explaining that he was tired of the criticism leveled at him after celebrities he treated had relapsed and died.

In part one of this special two part edition of Celebrity Rehab Revisited, Dr. Drew and his head councilor Bob Forrest look back on Season Five and then visit with Bai Ling, Michael Lohan, Jeremy Jackson, and Amy Fisher to see how they are coping out in the real world, 150 days after discharge. Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the woman Amy shot twenty years ago, reaches out to Amy for closure.
As graduation approaches, Dr. Drew and his staff check in with the patients to discuss their aftercare plans and to help them make their home environments safe. Bob accompanies Jeremy Jackson to his apartment where they discard of tens of thousands of dollars worth of dangerous supplements and steroids. Dr. Drew meets with Sean Young and her husband Robert to discuss how he can support her sobriety, and Jessica Kiper wrestles with Dr. Drew's recommendation that she enroll directly into sober living upon graduation.
The aftermath of a family weekend troubles patients; Amy and her husband, Lou, discuss her adult-film career with Dr. Drew; and Michael Lohan and Kate Major have an emotional argument.
Bai Ling's therapy reveals childhood trauma, and Michael Lohan's former fiancée Kate Major causes problems.
Amy Fisher's refusal to openly confess her addiction issues with everyone else seeking treatment quickly draws unwanted attention from one of the other patients, and when Dr. Drew attempts to settle the issue, someone considers leaving the center.
