Over the Top Season 1 Full Episode Guide
Actor Simon Ferguson is determined to look at the bright side of life, no matter what his fate. Fired off a soap opera and deemed unemployable by his agent, Simon relishes the opportunity for some time off and heads off to visit his favorite ex-wife, Kate. While she invites him to stay the weekend, Kate's wary that Simon hasn't matured a bit since their wild but tumultuous parting 20 years earlier. Though he quickly proves her right, it is exactly that impulsive and care-free spirit that allows Simon to endear himself to everyone he meets—even Kate's two children.
Simon is unenthusiastic about directing Daniel's school play, ""Jack and the Beanstalk,"" when he thinks that the father of one of Daniel's classmates is a big-time producer. Meanwhile, Gwen's love life is in disarray when she takes Rose's romantic advice, but Yorgo steps in to save the day.
When Simon and his old rival, Justin Talbot discover they are up for the same movie role, each goes to extreme measures to make sure the other doesn't get the role.
Much to his delight, Simon gets a call to appear on ""Days to Remember,"" as his dead character's evil twin. But there are strings attached, and those strings belong to Dot Chandler, the network head's sister, who happens to have romantic designs on Simon.
