The second season was nominated for six Gemini Awards, including Best Comedy Series, Best Ensemble Performance, Best Directing, Best Writing, Best Cinematography and Best Casting. Cake's 313-day celibacy streak is on the line when Fran (Inga Cadranel) refuses to join him in abstinence and Malta (Sarain Boylan) makes it her mission to break him.
When Joey Almost (Joe Pingue), convinced he has rabies, locks himself in the card room, Cake (Christopher Bolton) must enlist in the help of Joey's wife (Michelle Nolden) and a certain hallowed sports trophy to draw him out.
When an argument over nicknames escalates to a goaltender strike, Cake (Christopher Bolton) enlists the authority of NHL legend Mike Palmateer to save the day.
After unknowingly playing goal for the Gay League, Lance (Gabriel Hogan) is thrown into a crisis of self-examination.
Cake (Christopher Bolton) and Doc (Matt Gordon) head to Burlington to rescue Billy (Stephen Amell) and then race back home to save Café Primo from the hands of the Esposito brothers.

O'Malley (Oliver Becker) wages war on Cake (Christopher Bolton) after Bontar (James McGowan) burns down his beloved gazebo.
As compensation for burning down Café Primo, Cake (Christopher Bolton) takes on NHL goalie Harry Bontar as a rent-a-goalie in a deal brokered by Darryl Sittler.
