Danger Bay is a Canadian television series, produced in Vancouver, with first-run episodes broadcast on CBC Television and the Disney Channel starting October 7, 1985. One hundred and twenty three installments were filmed, ending in 1989, but the series, perceived as wholesome and exciting fare for older children and adolescents, continued to be seen through the 1990s in numerous countries around the world. The plots of the episodes followed the exploits of the Roberts family, led by marine veterinarian Grant "Doc" Roberts, and his two children, Nicole and Jonah. The 30-minute episodes featured the Vancouver Aquarium in nearly every installment. Most episodes focused on environmental issues such as pollution, wildlife endangerment and forest preservation. The series was also broadcast in Gibraltar Bulgaria, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Iceland, Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago, Finland

Grant teams up with an old friend to save the Tamanous Marshlands from developers but soon learns of his friend's greedy ulterior motives.
While working to save a local pond with a population of rare cranes from destruction, Grant and Jess meet Allison Walker, a journalist and mother of 3 who has just moved back to the city to return to local television.
While teaching nature survivalist skills at a camp for the blind, Nicole must convince a young woman that her guide dog may be sick and needs medical treatment.
While using the family's CB radio, Jess becomes obsessed with the lives of a young mother and her baby after listening in on their lives via the family's baby monitor.
Jonah and Nicole stumble upon a 200 year-old Indian prayer ground and must work with an archaeologist after the artifacts are stolen by apparent thieves.
When her father returns from abroad and reveals to J.L. that he may be losing his sight, she must convince him to seek medical treatment.
J.L. and Nicole are taken hostage by a fleeing convict and his girlfriend and must try to escape when their plane is forced to land at an abandoned logging site.
Tragedy strikes when Grant takes Jess camping on her birthday and she nearly drowns trying to save an abandoned duckling from frigid waters.
Jess helps an aged scientist studying cancer therapy with seals and becomes convinced he is lying to further his fame in the scientific community.
Grant is burdened with the responsibility of caring for a problem pig while Jonah tries to woo his sophisticated new girlfriend.
When sent to investigate dwindling deer population numbers, the Roberts come up against a band of hunters intent on wiping out local wolves believing them responsible for destroying their prey.
Grant aids a friend who runs a cannery employed by troubled teens to determine the source of industrial sabotage while Nicole gets close with their prime suspect.
The Roberts family races to collect enough specimens of a tiny rare fish found in a swamp about to be destroyed by developers.
The arrival of Grant's niece Jess throws all into an uproar as the Aquarium staff hunt for an escaped toad, Nicole tries to convince Jonah to introduce her to his new friend, and J.L. hosts a luncheon for an old rival from high school.
After Grant unsuccessfully tries to talk George out of going on an expedition to a glacier, George suffers a compound fracture and must be rescued by Jonah and Nicole in a daring maneouvre.
A weekend away is the order of the day when Nicole, Jonah and George conspire to send Grant & J.L. to a seaside resort for some much needed time together.
Grant and Christine come across a number of beached Grey whales in the vicinity of some new oil rigs and determine that underwater noise pollution is responsible; as they try to convince the company at fault to implement better measures, Jonah takes matters into his own hands via his new job working for the campus newspaper.
After responding to a fisherman's distress signal, J.L. is poisoned by mysterious toxic waste and Grant must race to determine what chemical agent is responsible so she can be saved in time.
Jonah is surprised to find his old high school friend David at UBC having returned from Toronto disabled & confined to a wheelchair. When he realizes that David's father refuses to accept his son's condition, Jonah relies on the help of a prominent athelete to help change his mind.
As Jonah enters UBC, he is hired as an assistant to a scientist studying the use of sign language with chimpanzees; as he gets closer to his boss, jealousy flares on two different fronts with unfortunate consequences.
