While at Cordon Bleu, Giada and her fellow students had to do everything by hand...no mixing tools or short-cuts. In this episode, Giada simplifies the recipes for the home chef, whipping up three French inspired desserts.
Giada makes a stress-free menu for her cocktail party.
The California style is usually laid back and casual...anything goes. But tonight, Giada invites friends over for an elegant dinner party. Guests dress to impress and the menu is gourmet and sophisticated.
Giada hosts an outdoor luncheon that is both elegant and easy. The menu is inspired by fresh flavors and ingredients pulled from Giada’s own herb garden and gathered at the local farmer’s market.
Giada has referred to her Aunty Raffy as her cooking soul mate. In "Lunch with Raffy,” Giada invites her aunt over for an afternoon of fun in the kitchen. Together they create a tasty lunch that is just as fun to make as it is to eat!
All fried, all the time! Giada prepares four dishes that are all fried, including a fried dessert. She also demonstrates a variety of easy frying techniques.

Giada takes Jade and a friend to the famous Getty Museum in Los Angeles. The group enjoys the spectacular art, followed by a homemade picnic lunch of Penne With Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese, Salmon Cakes With Lemon-Caper Yogurt Sauce and Apple and Mint Punch, in the Getty's majestic gardens.

Giada and some of her girlfriends walk a 5K race in Los Angeles to benefit cancer research. The night before the race, Giada prepares a nutritious and energizing meal of Beef and Cannellini Bean Minestrone and Farro With Cheese and Herbs for her team to enjoy. She also makes Apricot Oat Bars, a delicious snack for the group to munch on during the walk.
Giada has some friends who travel to Mexico on vacation and bring home a very fun pinata for Jade. The whimsical gift inspires Giada to throw a backyard barbecue with a Tex-Mex/Southwestern theme. Giada's festive menu includes Fajitas, a Black Bean, Tomato and Corn Salad and yummy Churros.
Giada invites friends over for a pizza party. She makes the dough by scratch and comes up with three delicious pizzas recipes. Friends munch on the homemade pizzas while they make their own individual pies. Giada supplies custom "To Go" boxes so each guest can take home his pizza creation to cook and enjoy later.
