Malibu Country Season 1 Full Episode Guide
In the Season 1 finale, family members set up Reba with an online date, and despite the evening not turning out to her satisfaction, she realizes that she just might be fully ready to jump back into the dating pool.
Reba thinks her dream of reviving her music career is one step closer to becoming a reality when she finally meets Geoffrey's boss, Mr. Bata, in person. But when he informs her that The Big Break he's giving her is writing commercial jingles, Reba begins to worry that her chances of getting back into the music industry may be over. Meanwhile, Kim lets Reba know that she is concerned about Sage's future when he decides against applying to Stanford because he doesn't want to be away from girlfriend June and also wants to pursue a music career.
Reba is torn over whether or not she should tell Kim that her husband gave her an introductory kiss that was a bit too passionate; Lillie Mae discovers the meaning of pain when she stumbles upon a nude beach and gets a full-body burn; Geoffrey urges a buttoned-up Reba to open herself up and be more honest in her songs; June tests Reba's boundaries by inviting neighbor Sage into her bedroom to give her advice on what to wear; and Cash gives away all his new clothes after his old Nashville clothing is rejected for not being up to Malibu clothing drive standards.
Reba's wayward brother, Blake (Blake Shelton), pays a surprise visit and comes up with a hasty plan to turn Lillie Mae's BBQ sauce into a profitable business. But Blake's dubious past for trying to make a quick buck without asserting a lot of effort makes Reba fear that he'll let their mother down with his latest get-rich-quick scheme. Meanwhile, when June lets it slip at school that Cash is still a virgin, Uncle Blake gives him some questionable advice, which Cash awkwardly puts into action to help remedy his situation.
Reba, June and Cash vie to give Lillie Mae the very best birthday gift. But when her wish is for Reba to bowl for her league’s opposing team, the competition gets less than friendly.
Reba and Lillie Mae put their plans for a weekend getaway on hold when their neighbor makes a confession that stirs things up for the entire family and shakes Kim's confidence in her abilities to be a good mom.
In order to keep her from losing her deal with the record label, Reba agrees to collaborate with superstar bad girl singer Shauna, who demands to move into Reba's home in order to get to know her better. But her bad habits start to rub off on the kids. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae begins to think that Reba doesn't miss her when she moves into Kim's house for a few days after agreeing to housesit for her.
Upon learning that Cash is having difficulty writing a one-act play for an English project, Reba tells him to look to his own life and write what he knows. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae decides to embrace her artistic self when Geoffrey gets her into his improv class.
June lands that coveted meeting with Mr. Bata that Reba has been working for months to get. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae and Kim hit pay dirt when they discover Cash's innate ability to make winning horseracing picks.
Reba volunteers to host Kim's baby shower, and Kim's stepson Sage films her every move to document the celebration for her unborn child. But Reba finds herself in a bit of a pickle when she says some unkind things about Kim -- not realizing that the camera is rolling -- and tries to pin the blame on Kim's friend, Brooke (Heather Dubrow). Meanwhile, June struggles with her crush on Sage -- who claims to be gay -- and Lillie Mae tries to help a clueless Cash to get a group of beautiful Miss All-American Teen Pageant girls to notice him.
When Reba learns that June's school has dropped its music program, she tries to rally the music committee moms to revive it. Cash gets a reputation as a bully after he stands up to the most popular boy in school, and enjoys the popularity that his new "bad boy" persona brings. But when Reba goes toe to toe with the school principal, she gains the same reputation. Meanwhile Lillie takes part in a protest to keep her local pot dispensary up and running.
Reba is shocked when Kim is chosen over her to sing a solo during the church's Christmas service, and June confides in Cash that she's beginning to question her faith in God.
Reba's attempts to gather intel on Bobby's past life from his ex-bandmate, Pete (Steven Weber), are foiled by his "bro code" but when Lillie Mae offers this recovering alcoholic some of her homemade beer, all bets are off. Meanwhile, Cash is grounded for sneaking out in the middle of the night to help his sister.
When Reba begins feeling threatened that her daughter is sharing more of her life with Kim than with her, she resorts to text spying and trying on teen fashions to get closer to June. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae teaches Cash how to be the man of the house.
Reba is angered when ex-husband Bobby arrives for Cash's birthday and gives him a brand new sports car, knowing full well that Reba wanted their son to earn a car by working for it and not by entitlement. Meanwhile, Lillie Mae tries to calm down a scared Kim, who finally admits that she's pregnant with no clue how to raise a baby.
Reba is thrilled when Geoffrey gets Mr. Bata to agree to have one of her songs recorded, but is insulted when he wants a rapper (Travie McCoy) to record it in her place; Lillie Mae discovers that she has a secret admirer; and Cash tries to tone down his southern accent in order to fit in with his school peers.
After Kim shows her a tabloid story about Bobby’s new romance, Reba reluctantly agrees to her first post-divorce blind date. Despite Kim’s interference, the presence of her meddling mother, and an untimely tiff between her kids, Reba discovers that she is ready to get back in the saddle.
The family tries to adapt to new surroundings in the premiere of a series about a cheated-on wife of a country star who moves to California with her mom and kids and tries to restart her own singing career.
