Alexander arrives in Gordium and takes up the challenge of the "Gordian Knot" before the Persians Mount a surprise attack. Alexander presses his chance to face Darius in "A Battle of Kings." Meanwhile, Philotus battles nightmares of his death at the hands of Alexander.
As Alexander prepares for war with Persia, the secrets of his parents betrothal and his birth begin to surface by those who serve him.
Alexander campaigns to wipe out those who oppose him which puts the people of Athens in a frenzy as they wager between fighting him or submitting to him. A wise hermit is consulted by both sides as to what they should do.
Alexander lives in exile after Philip casts him aside in favor of his newborn son. Olympias curses Erydace with nightmares and Philip plans to proclaim himself a god to his people but Alexander has other plans.
A new king of Persia has arisen; Darius I and a war between Persia and Macedonia brews as Greece entangles two countries. Alexander seeks to learn more about his potential enemy, embarking on a dangerous mission and sneaks into Persia
Alexander more than proves himself in his first battle but his tactics and the respect he earns makes his father King Philip wary of what this means for his reign. Philip's advisor proposes that he divorce Alexander's mother and take a new wife and sire a new heir, ridding him of the worry of Alexander's threat to his reign.
Alexander of Macedonia is born prince of a thriving empire but the people have little faith in his potential rule as he lags in preparing for his first battle. He seeks to improve his speed by taming a man-eating horse.
