Asia's Next Top Model (AsNTM) is a reality television show based on the American franchise America's Next Top Model in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of Asia's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show features models from the entire Far East region (East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia).

2012The fifth cycle of Asia's Next Top Model aired on 5 April 2017. Filming took place in Singapore and Malaysia. Cindy Bishop and Yu Tsai returned as judges for the panel this cycle, while Kelly Tandiono departed from the show, and was replaced by Cara G. McIlroy. The cycle featured 14 contestants with the prize package included a Subaru Impreza, a cover and fashion spread in Nylon Singapore, and a modeling contract with Storm Model Management in London.

The final three contestants received a surprise visit from their loved ones and were later photographed at an avant-garde "motherland" themed photo shoot with Yu Tsai, where they had to embody the essence of their home countries. The finalists were later taken to the National Gallery Singapore and reunited with some of the previously eliminated models for the final runway show, where they were dressed in renaissance-inspired designs created by Xiao Qing Zhang.
As the Grand Finale fast approaches, the girls are tasked with a daunting Vertical Catwalk challenge and later on must pitch their own concept for a "Roadtrip” photo shoot that captures an epic adventure with a sleek car. The Undercover Judge's job to raise the game is done and the contestants are finally let in on the ruse! After 3 weeks of living and competing with them, she shares exclusive and invaluable insights about the girls with the judging panel that will help determine the most deserving Top 3 Finalists in the competition.
The models had to catwalk on a bridge as part of their challenge at Sunway Lagoon, Malaysia. Later, the girls had to model as ice queens at a skating rink in Sunway Pyramid.
With a change in scenery, it is time to strut down memory lane and relive the season's most unforgettable highs and lows in this special Recap Episode; and exclusive never-before-seen confessionals where the models spill the tea on the competition. We also see how the rest of the competition unfolds, get up-close and personal to find the one who is worthy of becoming Asia's Next Top Model.
The remaining contestants took part in an extreme photoshoot where they were harnessed in gowns above a Subaru as it performed stunts. They later attended the 2017 Subaru auto show, where they were introduced to the CEO of Subaru, Glenn Tan, along with some former contestants of the show.
The remaining contestants had a go-sees challenge, before being photographed by Yu Tsai in a black-and-white bondage photo shoot with a male model where they had to convey power and seduction.
The remaining contestants were split into 2 teams in a social media challenge for Zalora. They later took on their next photo shoot, which came in the form of a video campaign for the brand where they were paired off into teams once again.
The models were tasked with an eye-opening social media challenge and later had a photo shoot for Neutrogena in which they had to pose inside a bathtub. Tension surfaced after it was revealed that a model had used Wi-Fi to communicate with her family, breaching the contract of the show.
In their next social media challenge, the contestants are tasked to create fun photo stories from specially selected text phrases. Later, they each have to personify the “It Girl” in a paparazzi-inspired photo shoot. The stakes are higher as the models have to work with a coveted make-up brand that could propel their modeling careers forward if they manage to impress the client.
The contestants receive an unexpected wake-up call from digital superstar, Andrea Chong, who teams them up for their first Social Media challenge of the season; and they must work together again within the confines of a bus for an edgy Model on the Move photo shoot with resident judge Yu Tsai barking behind the lens. As some contestants progress faster than the rest, these group challenges reveal the dominant players who hijack the set, leaving the weak links in the dust.
The cycle upped the ante on the much-anticipated makeover day. In an unprecedented twist, Dorothy was allowed to pick all the contestants’ new looks, which they each had to rock in a denim photo shoot out in the open fields.
With 13 contestants remaining, drama ensues when jealousy creeps into the Model House right after a unique dance improvisation challenge that spells disaster for some, followed by a photo shoot to smile about. But an unexpected appearance from the ever-sassy Creative Director, Yu Tsai, at the judging panel puts additional pressure on the models to prove that they have what it takes to be Asia's Next Top Model.
The 14 finalists arrived in Singapore and were immediately put to the test with a daring lingerie catwalk challenge across a bridge. They later had a “runaway model” photo shoot overlooking the skyline of downtown Singapore.
