This series tells the story of Kang Mirae, a girl once bullied for her looks. As a result, she became insecure, cautious around people and withdrawn. However, Mirae decides she wants a fresh start away from bullying and gets plastic surgery to transform her face. When she begins university, she meets Do Gyeongseok from their middle school days, who sees people for what they are on the inside and not the outside; he then becomes attracted to Mirae. As Mirae begins to get teased once more and labeled "Gangnam Beauty", the cold, aloof but kind inside Gyeongseok becomes the one person that stands up for her and in the process, Mirae begins to recover her lost confidence and discovers that true beauty is not on the outside.

Mirae and Gyeongseok misses the last bus to Seoul and get to spend a night. Mirae’s parents get to know she is now dating Gyeongseok. Also, everyone else learns that Mirae and Gyeongseok are now a couple. In the meantime, Sooa gets threatened and attacked by a man who has been stalking her.

The incident at the lab gets people talking again. Meanwhile, Mirae meets her role model, Na Hyeseong, at the perfume sampling event. While spending time with her, she learns something about Gyeongseok. Mirae gets a call from Hyeseong and falls in a dilemma.
