In a panel trial at Ichikei, defense attorney Aoyama takes on the case of "Nameless Gonbei," who refuses to disclose his identity, involving an assault on a teenager amid a conflict with boys throwing stones at homeless people.
In the "Setagaya Housekeeper Murder Case," defendant Takami Azusa claims that the death of her employer who fell from a damaged balcony, was an accident and denies knowing about an inheritance left to her.

A new case involves Kishida, a six-time convicted thief who stole 1.13 million yen. Kishida tried to escape on a stolen bicycle but collided with a newspaper delivery man and subsequently turned himself in. Iruma, noticing inconsistencies in Kishida's story, decides to investigate the case.
Ichikei receives an indictment for an assault at a ballet company. The defendant Makihara, a choreographer, allegedly pushed former trainer Yaguchi during a fight, causing a severe head injury. Ishikura is surprised to learn that ballerina Kyoko, his first love, is involved.
Iruma meets Sakama's sister, Ema and asks her to observe her sister in court to understand what kind of judge she is. Meanwhile, Ichikei's chief Komazawa assigns a juvenile case. The defendant, 17-year-old Mochizuki, is accused of stealing 50 million yen and scattering the cash when caught. Iruma suggests Sakama preside over the case, and she accepts.
Department head Komazawa assigns a complex case of negligence resulting in death. The case involves Fujishiro Shogo who allegedly killed someone after an argument. Iruma presides over the trial, where Fujishiro is shocked to see Komazawa, who had previously judged him 18 years ago.
The District Court team led by Iruma, plays an amateur baseball game against the District Prosecutor's team. Later, Sakama attends a party hosted by Supreme Court Judge Hidaka, where she is pressured to monitor Iruma for any problematic behavior. Meanwhile, Ichikei's manager Komazawa assigns a sensitive child abuse case involving a celebrity.
